This was our first stay in Gozo escape - Ghasri - and we were not at all disappointed. Very spacious, modern decor with traditional charm (there has been a kitchen upgrade since the online pictures), clean, comfortable.
All facilities were readily available, including a cot and high chair for our 14month old. The pool in this particular property catches the morning sun and is shaded by 4pm which was actually perfect for us in July as we could play in the pool all afternoon without being in the direct sun too much. The view of Ghasri lighthouse from the sun loungers was quaint and relaxing. The dining area outside was charming - with an outdoor BBQ. We hired a car which meant that many towns and villages of Gozo were a short drive away. There is a bus stop near the house if you don’t have a car.
Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We will book another holiday with Gozo Escape in the future.

beautiful setting and so comfortable

Lovely sunny, sheltered private garden and authentic local stone architecture with view of the beautiful church. Helpful hosts who were keen to ensure we were comfortable and to provide information about restaurants and places to visit. Store and restaurant conveniently close by.
Locks were a bit tricky until we got the hang of them.

The fireplace was very cosy.
There wasn't enough toiletpaper and bath towels provided for our stay which was short.

Amazing place to stay! Even better than the photos. I would definitely stay again. The host was very friendly and very happy to help with any request. One evening we left the keys in the farmhouse by accident and someone came to let us in within 5 minutes.

Our stay at La Patri, Ghasri has been mostly positive. We are a family of 4 with a teenage son and adult daughter. We chose this villa as it had a private pool and 3 bedrooms, each with en-suite shower rooms.
The villa is situated in a good spot to explore the island by car or bus. There is a bus stop right outside the door and buses into Victoria arrive every hour costing 2 euros. Buses are very clean, reliable and air conditioned. A car is essential for visiting beaches as we found when our hire car broke down unexpectedly.
The villa pool was cleaned regularly and it was a good size for a family of 4.
There is a well stocked kitchen and the utilities and furniture were of a good standard.
It was really useful to have a washing machine and airer. I also noticed an iron, ironing board and travel cot though these were not used.
The en-suite bathrooms were a decent size with really good water pressure on the showers. Water from every tap was extremely hot and could be dangerous for young children to use unsupervised.
There are two parasols in the garden for shade and a nice table and chairs and BBQ area.
The Villa was really clean on arrival. A deep clean and change of linen would have been appreciated across our stay; we would have been happy to pay extra for this.
Unfortunately the bathroom towels are quite small and there is only 1 per guest. With two women at the villa it would have been good to have some additional towels to dry our hair. We did have a towel delivered quickly for our son when we realised there were none provided in his room.
There is an effective aircon system in the bedrooms (at an additional cost of around 5 euros per day for approximately 3 hrs of use per room) but none downstairs. This meant that during July even on an evening it was uncomfortable to sit here for dinner or to socialise and so we tended to eat out and go to our separate rooms where it was cooler, once we returned to the villa.

Gozo Escape
We had a great time here. The nicest villa we have ever stayed at. Spacious, comfortable, clean. When we arrived, we all settled right in. The villa has a lovely homely feel. The pool was a huge hit and much bigger than expected (it looks smaller in the photos). Most days started and ended with the entire family in the pool. I'd recommend buying a noodle or bringing some inflatables from the start. Our blow-up beach ball got a lot of use.
The pool area is private and, again, very comfortable with high-quality furniture provided. There is a BBQ, which we used one evening. That went very well.
There is A/C in all the main rooms. These are controlled individually, so they must be managed when going out for the day etc.
We were left alone during our stay, which was welcome. No calls from reps or maintenance people, just a nice stress-free break.
Luisa & Edward (the hosts) were extremely helpful. For example, they helped organise our transport and hire car by recommending a local provider. This saved us a lot of money, time and hassle.
Gozo itself is absolutely lovely. Seaside towns, sea caves, 5000-year-old temples, and so much more! For us, Victoria was the best place to eat and shop. There is a well-stocked modern shopping centre if you like those things. There is also a Lidl (good BBQ supplies).
We rented a boat for a day, which was very good. Sailing around Comino island and stopping for a swim in Crystal lagoon was amazing.
We also made it to mainland Malta to see friends. But to be honest, there is no need to do this as Gozo has it all.
One last thing, the Maltese people are very friendly. Now I have travelled a lot, and these people are the nicest and friendliest I have ever come across. If you have been, you will know what I mean.
Yes, Gozo escape was really, very good. We are all extremely pleased that we were able to stay in this beautiful villa in this wonderful country.
No local restaurant. Had to drive or get taxis for dinner.

The house was gorgeous and really quaint! We had a great time. It was a great experience and really cosy. We had awful weather when we were there but there was a lovely wood-burning stove. The town is quite where it is located, but it's close to Victoria and other locations on the island!
It is not the hosts fault, but the church bells rang every 15 minutes throughout the night, so some of us couldn't sleep at all. The church is very close by, so this is something to be aware of! Bring ear plugs :)

It was a stylish place.
Since we were there in the winter, it was quite cold inside and the heater was with an extra cost.

Lovely secluded location. Pretty views and village. Local supermarket and bus stop right outside. Very quaint little apartment with own terrace for sitting out in as well as shared pool area. Good facilities for cooking meals. We enjoyed our stay.
The shower wasn't great. Low water pressure.

This property had its own small but very private courtyard, small pool, grand size kitchen, living room and two good bedrooms upstairs (and a loft bed option under the roof, 15mins on a good road from Victoria, would be happy to recommend to friends
