There was the ability to speak to Juan on WhatsApp, whose English was very good. We had a problem with transport strikes, which prevented coaches leaving Huaraz for Lima. Juan managed to arrange a taxi for us which ensured we did not miss our flight. We are very grateful for his help and also to the taxi driver and his friend.

Nothing to complain about!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Churup! I stayed in the dorm (which was only 3 beds - all single with a nightstand) and it was very comfortable. I loved having the extra blankets available and the daily housekeeping was appreciated as well. The hosts were very helpful with anything I needed - one day I was feeling unwell so I asked if they had recommendations on simple food I could order for dinner and they ordered me a plain veggie soup and had it delivered to my room. This extra bit of care felt so comforting and was really helpful. The decor is super cute and there are lots of comfortable hangout spots in the hotel as well.

I suppose my only complaint would be that the wifi didn't work well in the room. It worked much better in the common areas so that was nice to have as a backup, but since so many people are working while traveling, this could have been a challenge.

One of the cutest and most comfortable places I’ve staid in. I stayed in a dorm room with single (no bunk beds!) beds, tea and a water boiler in the room. Everything was very clean, hot water worked perfectly. At night they lit up a chimney on the fourth floor and the breakfast is super nice (many fresh fruits).

I stayed here before and after my treks and it felt like home! Fireplace in the common area is amazing which you can sit and chill in front of every evening! Beautiful balcony to watch the sunset. Amazing breakfast. Comfy beds. Hot water all the time!! Beautifully decor and lovely hosts. And it is quiet!

Beautiful hotel in a good location. The room was comfortable and the public areas (lobby, breakfast room, courtyard, terrace) relaxing and airy. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. A fantastic hotel for the price.

I loved the friendly staff, the yummy food, and the amenities where I can just roam, sit, relax, read or write in front of a fireplace. So amazing.

This is my third time staying here and I've loved it every single time. This was the first time I visited with my dog and everyone at Churup was more than accommodating and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic and the lounge upstairs filled with plants is just such a joy. We were there for a race so we had to have a really early start one morning and they were extremely accommodating to our needs.

Unlike other times, my room was too small. It might be that this happened because I was visiting with my dog - and it was best to give me an uncarpeted room, but still - way too small for the price. Other than that it was comfortable and cozy, so it wasn't that bad.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, the beds were a good size, beautiful balcony, plenty of space for luggage. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they took care of my grandmother while we were out. The breakfast was very nutritious and a good start for the day, the ladies in the kitchen were very helpful. The interior of the hotel was very quirky and made the place unique and not ordinary. The hotel is a few blocks away from the center, just a 10 minute walk, nice restaurants nearby.

This is being picky but the only issue was the bathroom, the shower temperature was inconsistent with it being very hard to get it right, it would either be boiling hot or absolutely freezing cold. The shower curtains were too short.
