Lots of steps to get to room

It was a superior room!!! Wash-hand basin too small, no bath which was requested

Lovely location
Beds were on a big slope shower was broken and the room was cold terrible nights sleep not to mention the damp

Very historic, tastefully updated. Had the feel of a traditional’Inn’
Noise from the bar went on quite late.
The heating was on all night.
The pillows were too plump/firm (minor detail).

Fantastic staying
Everything perfect

Beautiful quirky building, room was lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Door was hard to open to the room and needed some brute force to engage the lock

Whincombe and The White Hart exceeded all expectations - what a pair of gems! Away from the more touristy bit of the Cotswolds, and more charming for that, close enough to stunning villages and towns, gorgeous walks and Sudeley Castle 10 minutes away. The White Hart has the feel of an old inn, with well-kept, basic rooms but in the best possible way, like going back in time. Staff very friendly, great breakfast and dinner was brilliant. Not to mention some very good wine at a fraction of London's prices, and plenty of other restaurants and pubs in walking distance for variety. Definitely looking forward to going back for a longer stay - two days are not enough!!

Stayed here as we were attending a funeral nearby. We only stayed for 1 night but room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a lovely evening meal in the bar but we didn’t have breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful throughout our brief stay.

The rooms were in a separate building from the White Hart Inn where we had evening meal and breakfast.
The room we stayed in was an oldie world attic room with sloping floors, crooked walls and a lovely view of the street.
Apparently, the Methodist preached John Wesley once slept in this room.
Everything was fine.
3.9
Well placed and great value
Bit dusty
3.9
Good food, atmosphere, service, location
Room was in The Wesley next door (recently acquired) - oh dear, smelly, mold on the walls in room and in shower, carpets and banisters dirty, in need of a makeover as very tired, thus price for room at odds with reality. Make sure you stay in the White Hart
3.9
Food especially breakfast
Safe place for bike
Lots of stairs no lift
Shared toilet....no separate toilet

The pub itself was great, friendly atmosphere
The rooms were very stark. No carpets at all. Felt like we were in the servants' quarters the noise of the floorboards kept us all awake.
I did not appreciate being telephoned at 1.30am by a staff member asking me if we were in or out and where were our keys. We had checked out at the bar a day early as no one was on reception and left our keys with them. I mean who rings people at 1.30am

went down for food at 6.30 pm after being told the kitchen was closing at 8.30pm only to find there was no room for either a drink or food. As a guest staying at the Inn, I would have at least expected to be able to have a place for food. I booked in at around 4.30 pm and was told the time kitchen was too close, but no other information that I'd need to book a table at that time.

Nothing
I was very disappointed with my stay at The White Hart.
I paid £80 for a twin room with shared facilities (toilet, shower & hand basin) with ‘2’ other rooms.
My room was basic with no hand basin, there was not even a hand bowl in the room and no floor coverings.
There are no floor coverings through the hotel, even up the stairs. Which are also wood and unstable.
This price did not include a breakfast. To add breakfast is another £12.50 making a total of £92.50.
I did not stop for breakfast.
There is ‘no parking’ at The White Hart, but 50 yards down the road, where there is a small public card park. If there are no spaces available, parking is much further away.
The accommodation is poor like harping back to hotel accommodation of the 1950’s.
The price is definitely not worth £80, especially as breakfast is not included. If breakfast was included, it would make the cost a little more acceptable.
The price should have been no more than ‘£40’ a night (breakfast excluded).
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Excellent location for walking the Cotswold Way with a lovely path (Gypsy Lane) up from the Hotel to rejoin the route.
Very helpful and friendly staff, who ordered our evening meal for us, a Chinese takeaway.
Delicious breakfast.
Low ceiling in the attic room.

Staff good, clean and organised.
Noisy floor, doors and bed.Sleep was difficult

Size of room and open windows.

Room was quirky and beautifully decorated with lovely White Company products.
Low ceilings in the corridor for tall people. Bedroom also was the main fire escape

located in the village.
dirty, general pub was dirty and toilets clearly hadn’t been looked after for some time. menu was limited and never seen steak served without a sauce option, very pricey for quality of food and quality of room tbh

The location
The property I stayed in was an empty disused restaurant next door. NOT The White Hart Inn!
There was black mould all around the bathroom window, both bathroom and bedroom curtains were hanging off, torn net curtain, holes in bathroom towels like sandpaper, toilet seat kept slipping off, the mattress collapsed at the edges
3.9
The room was clean and comfortable but unfortunately above the bar and there was a party there. We thought it was a limited choice on the menu for dinner so instead we had a nice starter and a dessert
Noise from the bar which we could hear as our room was above the bar
3.9
The room although basic was clean and well presented.
On arriving at 5.30pm, I flicked on the TV to relax but after a couple of seconds it went to a blank white screen which prevented that happening. I needed to shower before heading out for a conference dinner, there was no water pressure to the shower at all resulting in having to strip off and wash using the sink which wasn`t ideal. I was informed by the in room brochure that if returning after midnight I should use the additional key on the room fob to enter through the rear door of the premises. I made a point of trying this before I left and found it didnt work. I informed a staff member who confirmed on their trying themselves that it didnt and informed they would not lock the door that night. I also mentioned the water pressure and was told that it was because everyone was having showers (at5.30pm?) I also mentioned about the TV not working.
On returning at approximately 10.30pm I returned to the room to turn in and tried the TV again which was unsurprisingly considering the time frame still broken.
Wifi was dropping out often to the point of giving up.
In my opinion I believe the hotel would be better charging more for its rooms and using the extra income to make sure that all is working correctly.

The room was nice, warm and comfortable. Pub had a good atmosphere and was well postitioned in the Main Street. Breakfast was good.
Ordered Pizza for a quick evening meal, took an hour, then was burnt, then asked how long to make another, told 5 minutes. Had to wait another 30 minutes. Came out burnt again. A real shame. Staff were not very helpful and seemed to be out of their depth, it wasn't that busy. When working in hospitality it is a good idea to be hospitable. I complained and got the meal for free. Too bad as everything else was good.
3.9
Comfortable and good atmosphere. Quiet location. Food was a reasonable price, especially as nearby eateries were very expensive.
Could hear the music from the pub until it closed.
Could do with a greater variety of veggie dishes on the menu.
Bit annoying there were no buses back to Cheltenham on bank holiday Monday but that's obviously nothing to do with the accomodarion.
3.9
Breakfast included was an excellent spread & choice.
Staff were very efficient and attentive.
