My partner and I LOVED our stay here, which is tucked away just inside Galle Fort in a beautiful building beside an art gallery. There are loads of restaurants and cafes dotted nearby, and a walk around the Fort (at sunset!) is a must. You can also walk to the cricket ground and train station (5 mins).
The family who run the place are so kind and friendly, and our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. As we left our only disappointment was that we hadn't booked to stay a day longer!
It's great value considering the location, friendliness of the hosts and the quality of the room.

This is a wonderful place to stay just inside Galle Fort. It’s situated in a very quiet street, the room was lovely, spotlessly clean and had a separate shower cubicle and mosquito net. The wifi and aircon were also good. It’s a ten minute walk from the railway and bus stations and has nearby options for eating, although the the area with most of the restaurants is also about a ten minute walk. Fantastic helpful and friendly owners, I would definitely stay here again if I come back to lively Galle Fort

Loved the location, and how friendly staff were. The room was clean, bathroom had shower separated from toilet. Got water which was hot and good water pressure.
AC was good. Very needed in the heat.
Nowhere to sit in the room. Small chair or something would have been great, as didn't want to sit on the bed in sweaty outside clothes.

The owner. Rude and unhelpful. Wanting money before stay. No breakfast. No hot water. Dreadful place. Hidden costs to inflate the bill. Told me to go and look for breakfast in the main street. Should not be allowed to advertise on Booking.com

As the hotel didn’t have many customers, we were transferred to the Small House Boutique, which was just around the corner.
The place is perfectly located in the middle of the Fort. Staff were very nice and welcoming.
The room was not really clean and had a musty smell to it.
The room is located directly next to the chill area, which I would assume is open to all guests, which means that guests could look in at all times unless you close the blinds, which makes it fairly dark.
