Prachtige ruime kamer. Zeer vriendelijk personeel!
De weg naar het hotel erg smal! Blij dat we er waren.

Exquisite aesthetic and atmosphere. Service was wonderful and our room was upgarded for free, for which we are very grateful. Location was perfect, extremely close to center, and hotel had free parking. Wholeheartedly reccommend this accommodation.

The location of the hotel near the river was ideal!! The staff was so kind and helpful for our local walks. There was enough parking area near the hotel!! Also, the breakfast was tasteful with enough options to choose from.
Our main complaint was about heating... In our room we had only AC for heat that was not comfy (when we had a batg for example). Also our room was so small for a couple with our languages...

Staff was kind and helpful and even gave us a room upgrade! The room was very large, clean and modern. Nice windows with screens overlooking a stream so that you have the lovely sound of water when the windows were open. Comfortable chairs by the windows. Really a 'wow' room when you step inside. The breakfast was excellent - big variety and very generous.
We like to sleep in a dark room and unfortunately the curtains are on some kind of modern remote control and hang straight down, far enough away from the wall that tons of light leaks in the room in the morning. So we woke up at 6:30 am, hours earlier than our alarm, and couldn't fall back to sleep. Completely exhausted.
The hotel also did not provide sheets on the bed, which was a huge discomfort. They just had a very hot duvet, or down comforter style blanket with no separate sheet. Even with the AC on, we were super hot sleeping. But the room was too cold with AC to throw off the comforter and sleep with no blanket at all. With no AC, it would be stuffy and way too hot for the comforter... There was a lighter blanket in the cabinet, but it was old, and you really didn't really want it against your skin without a sheet. If this is an issue for you, ask for sheets for the bed. We stayed one night so didn't get the chance.
Finally - same issue here as with so many of these hotels - they have a glass panel in the shower that is not long enough to block the shower spray, so the floor floods and you have the wet towels on the floor thing..

Beautyful room with matching furniture and decoration, just in the old town of Veria.

The room we had was fantastic with a balcony and loads of space
You need to follow the directions the hotel gives you - don’t use Google maps if arriving by car.

The Kokkino Spiti was a lovely hotel set in the heart of the old city and old Jewish quarter. Parking is easy and you can walk easily to the primary sites. Our room was spacious, furnished with nice antiques and has a large balcony overlooking the river. It was very quiet and scenic. We found it an ideal base from which to explore Veria.
I'm nitpicking a bit, but we thought the coffee should have been better for quality of the hotel. It was clearly instant but didn't even taste like the ubiquitous Nescafe.

Breakfast was good, very well organised. Very warm welcome. Could have received information in advance on where we can park the car. Good explanation on where to go etc.

Friendly and helpful staff. Large, comfy bed. Quiet location and yet close to town centre. Out of the ordinary furnishings and own original style. Car parking.
We were in the cheap room so there was no real view. Impossible to have the window open, the mosquito blind down and the curtains drawn all at the same time ( we don't like air conditioning). There was only one bedside light. Breakast was good but not great, perhaps COVID regulations had something to do with it. Service is not 24/7 which did not bother us but might others.

This is a characterful old property tucked away from the main part of the town. Vera who we communicated with was by far the best part of our stay. She made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The small courtyard was an added bonus. There was no mini bar as detailed in the booking details, better to say that there is a fridge though which is a huge bonus if you are travelling around the area and have food to be kept cool.
Unfortunately for the price I paid for the room it would have expected all amenities to have worked property. The shower head in our room needed to be replaced or descaled as the water dribbled out of it plus to toilet seat lid was broken. As we were only staying for one night, I did not mention this to Vera when I checked out but would have if we had been staying longer. It would have been nice to have been given 2 spare pillows in our room and not just one as my husband and I fought over who should have - Just kidding!

The hotel is located in the old Jewish neighborhood in Veria in a renovated 19th century house right above the Tripotamos river. The style of the house, decorations and furniture are preserved and modern materials and equipment are blended into which gives you the sense and feeling of old house while not compromising with the everyday comfort we are used to. Rooms are colorful with different color schemes - mine was in blue, my firend's was in red, furniture has hand painted ornaments, floors are wooden and even the ceiling is wooden. Almost all city points of interest are in walking distance of 15-20 minutes and you will be informed for them from the very welcoming hotel personnel.
Shower cabin is bit tiny. Aircon blows directly at your legs so it's better to switch it off for the night. Thankfully some windows are equipped with anti-mosquito nets so they can safely stay open in the night
