Railway close, may be bothersome for some, for me it was not a big issue

Old and dirty Booking.com workhorse with dysfunctional equipment (A/C not working) that hasn't been refurbished for a few decades

It was very very noisy. The hotel is max 10 meters from the railway. And the trains keep going even at night time. The bathroom was a bit smelly. The price is much too high for a very average room.

Well... the beds were the beds. The sink was the sink. The TV worked. And we could sleep there and then continue with our journey. When you need to sleep, its a fine think you can do there. The self check-in works fine, thats a good thing.

I guess the worst is when you need to clean all the door knobs and handles so you can just... touch it. Without dirt. Without getting disgusted. The dirt was everywhere you looked. I am so sorry I have to write it, but its true. I guess the hosts could be friendly and they could let you enjoy the familly soul in this place, but we arived late and couldnt feel it. I dont want to write bad review, I think the hosts are still believing in what they offer, but they really need to care about the rooms more. They need a new cleaning lady and some new equipement, so they could really get the guests what they deserve for the price. The price was HIGH, like twice more than what we payed for a luxury room in Kanal. We entered the room, we felt the smoke from the cigarettes. We just wanted to sleep somewhere, we are not made out of sugar, so we didnt care where we are going ... and it was pretty late. So we thought it wont be that bad. But it was. The toilette smelled from URINE. It was somehow cleaned, but the urine had to be even around the toilete. The fan was funny, looked like something from a horror movie. The shower had cracks on the handle. The carpet was used a lot. There were spots and stains everywhere you looked, even on the furniture. If we had an UV lamp, we could see something you can see in a cheap hostels where guys take their hookers. The trains were noisy, but whatever. The equipment was old - but it doesnt matter, if its clean. But it wasnt. No fridge, no electrick kettle - ok, I took a tissue and used it on a bathroom door knob. It was black. My towel had some GOO on it. The price would be adequatte like, Idk, 10 euros for a person for a night. (july, 2022) We had to drink some strong alcohol to forget where we are and to fall asleep. In the morning we payed 6 euros taxes. We just laughed and we hurried to get out of this awful place. We will never return, anyway we thank the hostel for a place to stay and we hope that they will get better.

People are very friendly and helpful. We arrived late and was not a problem to accomodate us. The room was clean and cosy. Everyone speaks english and german.

For anyone looking to hit Slovenia’s tour guide highlights (by car) at a budget, this is your joint.

But don’t expect a constellation of stars. The hotel is wedged between a regional road and a train line. We got a tiny room on the rail line side, which made us feel like it was a training camp for people interested in the new generation of European sleeper trains.

Personnel was helpful. Easy to approach. Parking.

Creaky stairs like an attic ladder with a very dirty carpet. Small window, the floor loudly creaking in the room. Very strong sickening perfume odor in the beginning, all our clothes have taken that smell, it took a day to get rid of it through the small window. Also it was challenging to use the shower under the roof. For the same price we got much better accomodation.

The owner was extremely rude, aggressive towards me and my sisters and tried to intimidate us because we didn’t want to eat breakfast at his hotel, the reason we didn’t want to eat breakfast is because the hotel was absolutely disgusting and smelled incredibly bad, I would have rather slept outside to be honest, I have stayed in hotels all across Europe for over 15 years and a few days ago stayed in a beautiful hotel in Slovenia with absolutely no problems at all. This hotel is like a sheep’s barn with a horrible owner. I would strongly advise not paying your good money to stay here.

noise! our room was situated few meters to the railway and we heard every train that came around. we heard every step that was made on our floor. we didn't sleep that much because of the noise...

Close to Ljubjana.

The rooms were small, the walls were so thin that we could hear every other guest all the time, and the train that passed frequently woke us up multiple times during the night.

The staff is very generous, accommodating, rooms are good, and the breakfast as well. All in all thumbs up with the price we paid.
