Some noises inside the facilities like the freezer and from unknown sources.

Good area, such friendly and helpful staff. I didnt have much time in the city and needed help. They gave me lots of options for an itinerary. My family joined later which I was doing an excursion and they felt super helped by the staff too. The decor of the hotel and rooms was also very nice. Near lots of things to do.

You can hear a lot of the street if your room faces that way and can be kind loud at times.

The Grand Hotel used to be Grand !!! I rarely write reviews even though I have been managing hotels for the past 20 years. But when it's time to help the Hotel to better there products and its clients I take my time and find it important to write a review. Good and Bad points. Good points; 1. Center of the city next to the main plaza. Store restaurants etc. 2. Proper size room with excellent washroom and shower with high pressure hot water. 3. Decent gym

Bad points: 1. The hotel needs to remove all the carpeting in the hallways, in the rooms and renovate all of the furniture. I am never allergic to anything, but in this hotel I got severe allergies. sneezing and feeling sick. I thought it was the pillows after we changed them, but actually I feel it was the entire hotel. I am not sure but I don't think the carpeting and Furniture have been changed for many many years. After moving out to another hotel the next day I was feeling back to normal. 2. No security front door. Not necessary in Pereira but the hotel should have security if they want to be considered a 4 or 5 star 3.No concierge or front desk to help us to our room and explain anything. 4.Front desk don't understand that they are working at a 4 Star hotel. They are badly educated with no happiness smiles or interest in service. 5. No one speaks Any English. 6. The spa is closed There are many hotels in Pereira which are half the price with newer renovated rooms with excellent service. Many other hotels where they actually try to communicate and help the customer. In my opinion stay away from this Hotel until the hotel management and employees change their attitude and product. I don't think they have the training or understand what service is about so it's not worth for you to spend the extra money.

The hotel is located in the city's center near nice restaurants and cafes. The personell is very friendly, helpful and trying to resolve issues. After some complaints I got a bigger room with a nicer view. Beds were comfortable. The WiFi is pretty stable.

Because the hotel is in the city's center, it is too dangerous to leave the hotel alone in the night. Most of the time I had hot water available in the bathroom, but not always. The breakfast isn't bad, but you really should like scrambled eggs for breakfast - you will get them every day!

My requests were not honored. The room filled with bacon smoke at 6am because it was above the kitchen. They moved me rooms. Hot water was tricky. Room(s) did not look like photos. They gave my friend a different room than what we booked and he had to change. Needs MAJOR updating. I would not stay here again. Beds uncomfortable as well. TV didn't work. Bathroom stunk. and... as you might have read in other reviews...WORST BREAKFAST I HAVE HAD IN COLOMBIA AND I HAVE LIVED HERE 13 YEARS! HAHA it was impressive how bad it was!

Location is perfect for eating and shopping. The rooms get cleaned every day. The staff is very attentive to your every need. The area seems safe. Very affordable oh

The breakfast room was hot and I was not impressed with the food items, but it was free. I only ate 1 day out of the 5 days I was there. Also because the hotel is on a corner where traffic is constant I didn't get good quality sleep. I couldn't close the window because my room didn't have AC. I believe some rooms do have ACs.

I stayed here one night, left some my luggage while I went to another city, and then came back two days later. I was happy to leave my luggage there to make for a lighter load. The bed was fairly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and blankets. There were toiletries in the bathroom. The WiFi worked well. There was a large fridge and once I plugged it in, it kept my bottle of water cold. The room was not on the street side, so it was more quiet, except for noisy guests in the room next door. The TV was able to get a couple of English channels. There was hot and cold water down a half a flight of stairs. It seemed there was a fitness room next to that. The hotel was located very near Bolivar Square. On my second night there, the staff tried to accommodate my complaints with a lot of patience and eventually gave me a better room.

The breakfast the first night I stayed there was really terrible. Although the fruit in Colombia is delicious, the tiny bit of fruit served under plastic wrap should have been thrown in the garbage. The staff asked me how I wanted my eggs, but when the scrambled eggs came, cold, there was ham mixed in, which I told them I did not want. The coffee was undrinkable. The bread rolls served were stale. There wasn’t a real fruit juice, more like a powder mixed with water. I commented to the reception about this terrible breakfast and the fact that they claim to be a four-star hotel. The second time I stayed there the quality of the fruit had improved (though not the quantity), but the rest of the breakfast was just as bad. It’s a big hotel, with meeting rooms, large reception area, which must have been better in the past. Personally, I was not impressed.

Very nice hotel. Staff was polite and explained everything. They even shared information about a festival that was taking place in Pereira. Location is great. Close to malls, bus terminal, restaurants, and drugstores. Breakfast was great (rice, eggs, bread, juice, and fruit). The building is old but cozy. It is a historical building I believe. I would stay again if I come back to Pereira.

Very old, worn furnishings. Breakfast was very basic. My stay was only two nights, if longer the shortcomings of the hotel would have been annoying for such a prominent hotel in this city.
