First of all, Stelios and all the staff are superb - friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel itself is located very close to a beach and although close to the centre it is right on the edge of the village, in a quiet corner. It appears that the building and facilities were renovated a couple of years ago and it is in excellent condition. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms well decorated and furnishings of a good quality. The rooms and all areas of the hotel were spotless and were meticulously cleaned every day. Although we were given a code for late night entry to the building there was always someone in reception while we were there. There is a great selection of tavernas and bars and the quality of the food was generally very good/excellent. It was our wedding anniversary during our stay - we didn't tell anyone - the cleaner spotting a couple of cards surprised us by decorating the room and the hotel left us a bottle of wine to celebrate. A lovely surprise. It was the first time we have stayed in Skala although we have visited Kefalonia many times. We will definitely stay here again, in Skala and in the Skala Hotel. Absolutely first class

It was a little tricky finding it when we arrived at night but we rang the hotel but Stelios came out on his motorbike and escorted us there.

The property is very well located, the staff are extremely helpful, the property is very clean and modern. Actually very little to complain about.

The garden view room isn’t really a garden view, rather looks onto other flats - but I understand you could pay more for a better view.

The hotel has been beautifully refurbished. Super welcoming staff and clean, modern room with a large sea-view balcony. Lovely breakfast.

the wrap around balcony was very nice and the living space. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. the shower was excellent. and the breakfast was varied. it was close to the beach and the center / restaurants.

Everything about this hotel was amazing, from the arrival with the lovely staff hosting us, to the breakfast, rooms, location and vibe. Can only recommend staying at this hotel. If we are ever in Kefalonia again, we will 100% be staying here :)

The location was perfect! Skala is a quiet town but has everything available within walking distance. The hotel was a short block away from the beach, has many tavernas around and supermarket to choose from. The hotel was recently refurbished and has modern facility. Room was cozy, size good enough. Air conditioning functioning well. Nice shower pressure. We had an issue with our badge key/electric fuse but it was sorted immediately by the team (they had to call the electrician out of hours). Parking—on the roadside but not a problem to find one. Breakfast was lovely, albeit has the same selection everyday. Delicious greek yogurt and fresh orange juice. You can order on the menu eggs/pancakes from the kitchen and they make good coffee too. Room was cleaned everyday (not as meticulous as expected). Linens changed every 3days and towels every other day. Staff were lovely! Helpful and made the stay pleasant. Will come back again.

Not a big of an issue but suggesting a rail hanger for clothes in the balcony? and a bigger rubbish bin in the room. more meticulous cleaning especially under the bed and countertop.

It has been newly renovated to a very high standard. It’s chic and also very comfortable. Lovely sea views. Bed was so comfortable and bedroom and en-suite were spacious with modern fittings. We had a delicious breakfast with good quality food. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

The location is nearby a beautiful beach. the rooms are very clean, excellent bed, equipped with Nespresso machine, water boiler (tea), latest LG tv, excellent WiFi, airconditioned per room, sound proof windows, refrigerator.. nothing left to wish for .. hairdryers ….

Position of the hotel is perfect. Beach is two minutes by walk. The main pedestrian street with all tavernas, caffes and shops is five minutes walk. We parked our car in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is renovated recently and everything is new. Room was very clean with the large terrace, from which we had garden and sea view. Cleaning was done daily, so it was very clean. Beds are very comfy. Wifi was perfect. Hot water all the time. Breakfast is nice and there were everything for everyone. All tastes included. Main thing for coffee lovers - the best coffe in Skala is at the hotel! Lovely ladies Natalia and Katerini are making the best coffee ever! Also, they are very nice and kind, been there for us for everything we needed. So we felt like home. We will come back!

Excellent location, hotel has recently been refurbished throughout and is very clean and modern, rooms lovely, great hairdryer (even a diffuser for us curly haired!), really good fresh breakfast, the best thing about the hotel is the staff all very helpful, friendly and very welcoming.

Possibly security chains on the inside of the rooms, not a problem for us but maybe for solo travellers.

The staff at the hotel was super nice and helpful, they even upgraded us to a superior room with a huge balcony. Very good breakfast, with a good variety of food choices. The location was great, 2 minutes walking from the beach and the village of Skala.

The bathroom was a bit too small, we didn't even have the space on the sink to put our toothbrushes and stuff.

We are very happy of the overall experience and will certainly return. Skala Hotel offers brand new interiors well furnished with updated technology and great wi-fi. Very clean and nice. Would definetily recommend it for a trip to Cefalonia. Great position near the beach and near the center without noise. Nice balcony and very kind owners and staff, always ready to satisfy any need.

The situation is perfect,Voula (the Lady owner) is absolutely charming,obliging and will do anything to help when necessary. She makes you feel as if you are staying in her house.We thoroughly enjoy staying there.

The bathroom needs updating,whilst there was plenty of hot water,the plumbing was a little delapidated.
