Central heating which we couldn't control.

The person on reception was really helpful. I went down the ramp into the car park to find that it was full. He came out to the car park and directed me to a space on the street opposite the hotel - convenient and free. The location is ideal for ExpoOurense, there are bars and cafés nearby and it´s a short walk into the centre.

Cleanliness. The room was superficially clean, but the whole place needs a deep clean. The bathroom floor next to the toilet was dirty, the toilet brush was rusty and there was a patch on the bath that had been repaired with a brown filler and not repainted white. Dusty lampshades. These things are easy to sort and would make such a big difference to the perception guests have of the room on arrival. Price. The only difference between this hotel and a 'pensión' is the free parking. It is too expensive for the standard of the rooms and the lack of other facilities. The bar was also closed during my stay. Advice: check if there is space in the car park before going down the ramp. It is not easy to get back out!

Good price but you pay for what you get.

The thinnest walls I have ever experienced meaning my angry neighbour meant sleep was difficult, hotel was a good 20 minute walk from the actual Roman bridge
