Stayed three nights in school holidays for a snow stay. Plenty of space for family of four - had beds for 6 and could fit that many without it being too cramped. Kids loved the loft room. Great location right in the centre of Dinner Plain, close to shops, pub etc. Key code entry very easy. Appreciated the washing machine and dryer. Nice big open fireplace with firewood provided. Beds clean and comfortable.

Not necessarily negatives, but just to know: no wifi; it's a pet friendly place (ie so there is the odd bit of dog hair around). Decor is seriously retro! Not a place to go if you're looking for something stylish and new! But on the upside this is good for kids as they could run about without being anxious about precious things. It's a bit dark in the living area.

Closeness / short walk to restaurants. Fireplace.

Off-leash area at Appian Way - told to leash our dog when we read that it's a off-leash area (it was dark, so couldn't see if it was a local or visitor telling us to leash our dog, and that there're no off- leash areas in Dinner Plain). For a supposed dog friendly place, there should be an off-leash area that is more than just a tennis court (which was locked anyway when we visited, but really insufficient even if it was open).

Spotlessly clean and the beds where very comfortable. Heaters where turned on so the house was toastie warm for our arrival. Well equipped kitchen.

The couches weren't terribly comfortable but they did the job well enough.

Not very helpful hosts. Will not book again.

Location & enjoyable stay. Closeness to Hotel High Plains & Stones Throw which there staff were great in accommodating all the wedding guests, young & old. A lovely place to walk around & explore.

The road coming up the mountain was hard on those that can get car sickness.
