Mycket välskött, ren och fin resort, men för det hutlösa priset på cirka 600 euro per natt för en villa, förväntar man sig mycket mer.

Inte mycket till service och allt kostar extra. Du får inga handdukar till pool/strand, ingen städning alls på 10 dagar, nya lakan får man levererat till terrassen, men man måste byta själv. De vill till och med att du tar av sängkläderna innan du checkar ut. Har aldrig varit med om tidigare. Ingen påfyllning av toalettpapper och inget diskmedel trots böter om du inte diskar allt innan du åker hem. Bara två solsängar på stranden ingår, trots att villan rymmer 6 personer. Ett par extra kostade 28 euro per dag, dvs 56 euro per dag för övriga 4 personer i villan. Vi råkade ha sönder några glas när vi diskade (väldigt ömtåliga) och behövde betala 2,5 euro per glas vid utcheckning. Observera att vi betalade cirka 600 euro per natt för boendet! Otroligt småsint att ta betalt för några glas. Stör mig också på avsaknaden av flexibilitet och service. Några i sällskapet gick mycket tidigt en morgon till gymmet. Fick inte komma in för att de inte hade handduk med sig. De erbjöds hyra för 6 euro styck. Kändes orimligt för någon timme och fick då gå den långa biten tillbaka (stort område där vi bodde nästan längst bort) för att hämta. Hade man inte bara kunnat vara lite serviceminded och låta dem låna en handduk om det nu var ett krav att ha det med sig?! 🙄 Poolområdet är mycket fint och alltid bra tillgång till solstolar (stort +), men man känner sig tyvärr lite instängd. Stängsel runt allt och du måste passera en sorts spärrar med chipp-armband för in- och utgång. God och hyfsat billig glass vid ”strand-baren” men sjukt dyr läsk. Hur kan man ta 5 euro för en liten burk Sprite?!!! Så slutsatsen är: Väldigt fin resort och mycket fräsch villa. Men svindyrt! Räkna inte med någon extra service och ALLT kostar extra. För det skyhöga priset vi betalade hade vi kunnat bo på lyxhotell med allt vad det innebär. Om det hade ingått handdukar till pool och strand och om vi hade fått åtminstone 4 strandsängar till 6 pers hade betyget varit högre.

We booked the stay for a summer beachside umbrella and we got that exactly.

The food in the on property restaurant is barely edible. The seafood platter was served with uncooked shellfish with the waste products still intact. I nearly vomited when dinner arrived and I realized what was in front of me. The breakfast buffet included with the stay was either undercooked or over cooked. The coffee is served from an automatic machine, the fruit juices are so concentrated that the sugar makes one gag from the sweetness. The breads are clearly made in an assembly line. Nothing about the food experience at this property is worthy of Italy. If you stay here, eat in the town not far away where there are half a dozen better options.

Lovely property at the sea!

A superb 3 night stay at the RDS. The staff were all very welcoming, very presentable and friendly. The hotel itself feels spacious and rooms decorated in a modern style. The setting is idyllic, surrounded by pine trees and a private beach on your doorstep. It is also in a great location for heading into nearby Castiglione Della Pescaia for a change of scenery. We hired bikes from a shop across the road and there's a cycle path directly outside the hotel to town. There is a well appointed gym and spa although I didn't try the treatments given how relaxed I already felt during my stay and the pool area is large enough to spend a few hours of the day lazing around. We had a lovely evening meal at the restaurant and breakfast options were plentiful and varied.

We stayed in a classic room which had lovely classy decor, a large TV, comfy bed, spacious walk in shower although it was a little bit on the small side. Ordered a sandwich from the outside bar/cafe for a quick bite to eat by the pool one afternoon which was very disappointing given the standard of everything else was great. Visiting the small onsite supermarket would have been a better bet for a tastier light snack.

Very nice location with lots of facilities and sandy beach. Public bus connects with Castiglione della Pescaia and its restaurants until midnight
