The concierge /reception (especially Lelys) were amazing in organizing tours, transfers etc - informative, responsive, reliable and always with a big smile.

The rooms are a little sparse and there was not enough hot water for showers.

The hotel was located within walking distance of restaurants and the town. The Junior Suite we had was large and had great amenities including robes and slippers. The gardens were lovely and well kept. I awoke each morning to a wonderful view and a serenade from the birds. And the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The first night we arrived after traveling and wanted to dine in the hotel restaurant, but both the bar and the restaurant were fully booked for a private party. While it was a bit of an inconvenience, the staff arranged for a reservation at an Italian restaurant within walking distance from the hotel, where we had a good meal. However, It would have been good to know this in advance.

The plumbing is old and in need of improvement. The water pressure to the shower head is low and has flow fluctuations. Bathrooms could use a makeover.

Wi-Fi was horrible; slow, unstable and sometimes stopped working altogether. For a hotel charging these prices there should be better Wi-Fi.

Beautiful well kept old Panamanian hotel. Walking distance to the town of Boquete. Gorgeous grounds and gardens, large clean elegant rooms, wonderful staff, excellent dining with indoor/outdoor seating choices, lovely wine bar to sit around the fire in the evenings. A very special place.
