Well appointed room and bathroom, very clean sheets and towels, adequate furniture with desk lamps. Lovely ornamental decor, warm hosts, very good breakfast in a magnificent dining room. Adequate parking and good location in quiet street but close enough to town centre.

Springy bed needs repair/replacement of mattress, that is all.

Beautiful house with a wonderful friendly host. Fantastic bedroom filled with artefacts from around the world. Entire house filled with interesting curios.

Beautiful property and extremely accommodating hosts - I needed to be out early due to attending an event, and was delighted that an amazing breakfast was especially made available out of standard serving time for us; The room was beautiful, quiet, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Lots of lovely extras to be found - chocolates, biscuits, fresh milk and tons of lovely bathroom goodies. We loved our stay, wish we could have stayed longer, and highly recommend. Vegans are welcomed and fully catered for - thank you so much!

Friendly, warm welcome by host, and efficiently run. Room well appointed and bed super comfortable, breakfast menu superb. Local pub within walking distance and gives a 10% discount on evening meals for guests staying at Newark Lodge. Off road parking at the front of the property.

We loved the place. The room was amazing. The host was so kind, friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

What a beautiful guest house. We upgraded to the best room. Such attention to detail and the decor was lovely - think Africa and animal prints. The en suite bathroom was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The dining area / lounge was gorgeous.

Early start first day - hotel had a small fridge just outside room in which there was milk, with cereal and fruit beside with bowls and cutlery. So thoughtful. Breakfast second morning delicious.

We couldn't stay longer.

beautiful property very classy and quirky, very clean and luxurious, very lovely hosts can tell they love what they do, beautiful breakfast, very friendly beautiful layout made to feel like home, close to pubs and shops much more nice than pictures I’ll add a video , I’ll be returning to this beautiful place thank you so much very clean as well

The hosts were incredible and very accommodating. I had to leave very early the morning of check out, and they kindly left me a bowl of cereal and some juice in the fridge for me to have an early brekkie before getting on the road. The bedroom and bathroom were stunning and bed very comfortable. All round, a brilliant stay - I will be back!
