We loved having the whole half of the duplex to ourselves. Very quiet - no noise at all from neighbors or the street. The house was very comfortable with lots of space. Has eat in kitchen that is fully equipped, should one want to stay longer. There was a parking spot right in front of the house. We appreciated having laundry facilities in the house. Cute and private back yard with seating outdoors. Easy walk to all of Isafjordur, including a grocery store a few blocks away. Never needed our car until we left town.

Beautiful house and excellent kitchen, which we needed to use. Apparently you have to have a dinner reservation a week in advance to eat out here on a Saturday night. Washer and Dryer!!! 🙂

The bath towels smelled of dryer sheets and cigarette smoke. I'm very sensitive to cigarette smoke - just drying my face made my sinuses hurt. The towels were the ONLY negative though - everything else in the house was fabulous!

My goodness this was an incredible place to stay!! It is GIGANTIC. The home is very modern with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is fantastic and sleek and has everything you need to prepare a lovely meal. They have a projector for watching TV (should you choose to do so). There is also a washer and dryer in the basement if you need to do laundry. There is a garden area outside that is very peaceful, though we did not have much time to spend at our accommodation to take advantage of it. I highly recommend staying here!

Great location within walking distance of most of Isafjodur. In an area of characterful old houses. Not at all touristy (yet). The house is old, and the interior staircase is steep and narrow, very typical of places in Iceland. We loved the area and the historic nature of the house. Completely comfortable and well-outfitted, with private garden a plus. Free parking in front.

Very nice house. Spacious and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped, there was also a big screen and some movies. We loved having a washing machine and dryer.

Stairs were a bit difficult with luggage. Only bathroom is located in the second floor so you need to climb up and down the stairs.

Location is right by the warf and dining. fabulous modern kitchen. nice big bathroom. If you are a person liking fancy TV and tech you would like it. we did not use these devices. comfortable, reasonably clean. host asks you to email when in apt and the reply is rather cold and unengaged.

Aside from fabulous kitchen the place is a bit old and needs upgrading of living area. It does have washer and dryer, a big plus, but it's down in a dingy cellar and it takes about 3 hrs to dry. needs an upgrade.

This is a wonderful opportunity to have an authentic experience staying is Isafjordur, a short walk from all parts of town. The kitchen is very well equipped, the yard was lovely to sit and have a drink, and the house was cozy for two adult and two children (young adults). The house has the normal quirks of an older home, which I believe should be considered a plus, not a minus.

It was very clean, and very well equipped. Lovely kitchen. I liked that the host did not use highly scented laundry soap. The directions were easy. The suggestions for things to do, came in handy. I would stay at this property again.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Isafjordur! This house is in an older building, which is very atmospheric and memorable, but everything inside is totally up to date. The kitchen is kitted out beyond belief, there's a great projection system in the living room with a selection of movies, the bedrooms are huge with a desk and comfortable beds, and the bathroom is probably the bigges one I have seen in Iceland. Seriously, this place is amazing in every way. The hosts were very communicative, and it was easy to arrive and depart, and there are clear, illustrated sheets for explaining all of the appliances. The location is also perfect - an easy walk to groceries, bakery, restaurants, and Dokkan brugghús (seriously, don't miss a visit to that place). We *loved* it here.

The host was very rude and unaccommodating. We also noticed that he has an outdated license on the property that he is renting which is illegal. We had a horrible experience with him and can therefore unfortunately not recommend staying at this property.
