The name literally means In the Sky…of Barga…and the location lived up to its name. It is located just below the Duomo, the highest point in this enchanting medieval town. From the room and its nice sized balcony, the rooftops are just below, offering incomparable vistas of Barga and the Serchio River valley. Great bed. Nice bathroom. But it’s the views that are incomparable.
I really have no negatives. But note for anyone with mobile impairment, given the vertical position of Nel Cielo, expect stairs both getting up to the property as well as to the room itself. (of course, with a big pay off of amazing vistas.)

Absolutely fabulous place to stay with stunning views. Right in the heart of the old town within the city walls, proximity to everything Barga has to offer and the perfect host in Julie makes it an outstanding place to stay and explore everything in and around Barga and Garfagnana.

Everything was amazing! Great view off the balcony, the owner was amazing, the bed was comfortable! All in all a great place to stay!
