Character hotel in the heart of Cashel with friendly staff and a great bar and restaurant.

This is a great location and the private parking is within a few metres. The room was gorgeous in this lovely old style hotel. The bed was enormous and the bathroom had everything that you could need. The breakfast was good and the the service friendly and prompt.

We booked dinner and were looking forward to a real treat. Unfortunately, what arrived on the plate didn't live up to expectations. My wife opted for the lamb shank and I went for the stir flied chicken with CRUNCHY vegetables. Both meals arrived smothered in a gallon of ragu sauce. Two simple meals ruined. The mashed potato had to excavated from under the inexplicable sauce and my stir fry was more a stew. Not a crunchy vegetable to be found. Maybe I'm fussy but I was assured that nobody else has ever complained. Must be a local delicacy.

The bath was excellent, not many hotels still have this available

Staff was very accommodating especially with lending us a converter for our devices.

No Conditioner in the bathroom, the hair dryer didn't work and for breakfast i ordered two poached eggs and two sausages when they came out to my table i could just about cut them it seemed they had been reheated from the day before i had asked for some toast ,I am still waiting on it ! I don't normally complain but i couldn't just let this go without saying something.
