Gemma was very welcoming and attentive. She went overboard everyday when preparing breakfast for us, asking us what we wanted and also providing high quality products on her own (the pastries, the cheeses, and the ham were simply delicious). She gave us recommendations regarding places to visit, where to eat, and what to do. The room was on point and cleaned everyday. We wish we stayed more days in Alghero and at Gemma’s place.

A nice place with warm and friendly atmosphere in a converted flat. The rooms even have a balcony (and aircon) Excellent breakfast. Good mattress and a well equipped bathroom. Easy strolling distance to the old town and shops and restaurants. The owner is extremely helpful and points out nice things to do.

The whole building seems badly sound proofed. You practically hear even water running in the other room as if it was your own. And the metal bed frame makes sounds when you touch it... (No problem for us, but it is on the third floor without elevator)

Gemma was super generous! The breakfast was amazing and we felt so welcomed and at home during our stay ❤️ the space was even more spacious and comfortable than what we're expecting. Next time we are back in Alghero we will stay again. Can't thank Gemma enough!

Perfect location, very lovely and helpful hosts, large size apartment, nice balcony with wonderful view to the beach, easy and free parking in front of the house, great breakfast.

I spend a perfect week at this lovely B&B. Gemma is a perfect host and that made my holidays very pleasant. the accommodation is very nice, with a comfortable bed, a newly renovated bathroom and everything you need. you can use the kitchen for making a coffee e.g. and store your food in the fridge. and you can sit on the terrace, not only for breakfast, in the evening as well. I enjoyed that the room was cleaned every day. but the thing I liked most was talking to Gemma, the host. she is very friendly and caring, provides not only good recommendations but equipment for the beach as well. for breakfast she will ask you for your favorites and she takes care that you get some snacks for the day. her friendly attitude creates a warm atmosphere and if you like you can have a small conversation with her. but if you prefer your privacy, she is very discreet. the B&B is located very close to the Lido and in walking distance to the historic Centre. it’s in a residential area with not not much traffic or noise.

Great location. large room, comfortable bed, plenty of storage, good bathroom. Access to large balcony area, including sink, which was great for washing and drying laundry and swimwear. The breakfasts were beautiful. Generous portions, great variety of different local food, pastries, fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, bread, juices etc. Gemma and her son were so kind, considerate and helpful. We particularly appreciated restaurant recommendations. Parking on the street was easy.

absolutely everything! Gemma is charming woman, always ready to help you, give any information you need, take care of you either you go on a trip or just to a local beach. B&B is perfect, every day cleaning service, clean towels, even big towels for the beach, umbrella. also the breakfast was delicious! the location is good, close to city centre, close to Lido beach and also 5 min bus stop, where from it takes you to the other beaches. Great! Grazzie mille, we enjoyed a lot❤️

This B&B feels like a home away from home! Gemma is so kind, generous and helpful. I loved the balcony! Everything is super clean and cosy. Breakfast is personalized and delicious. This has been a lovely stay.

due to the street it can be a bit noisy when motorcycles are passing by one night we’ve had room neighbors that were a bit loud as well, as the walls are quite thin.

Amazing stay - Lorenzo and his mom are very welcoming! Breakfast is amazing - selection of local food. The apartment is spacious with a beautiful view. Definitely the best stay in Sardinia.

Gemma's home was amazing. The loft was spacious, her breakfasts were delicious, and the location was perfect. The B&B is walking distance to both Lido Beach, Maria Pia Beach and Alghero old town. Staying with Gemma felt like staying with family! I definitely hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful place, has a nice terrace with a view. Its on the top floor so lot of stairs but the view is worth it. Every morning Gemma would bring fresh and different breakfast which is a big plus. Place super clean and comfortable.

We liked everything about Lloc D'or, it was like a home away from home, beautiful spacious apartment with the most beautiful terrace overlooking the sea, the apartment is also so central to everything 10 mins to old town, 5 mins to Marina and beach. Gemma our host was such a lovely welcoming lady and so helpful with any questions we had, dietary needs was also catered for as one of us is Gluten Free. Apartment was spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed so if we are lucky enough to get back to lovely Alghero again I would certainly stay in LLoc D'or again 🙂 ❤

Spacious bedroom with sea view. Breakfast was nice with home made pastries, sweet and salty options. The hosts are very nice and convenient with the arrival time. We arrive quite late (11PM) and they took the time welcome us and show the room and facilities. Gemma will also give you good tips about must to see in the city and restaurants adresses. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it !

The accomodation was very nice and clean and also very close to the city beach. We had a good breakfast and the host was very helpful and shared tips about what to visit and where to eat. We loved it!

The prices in august are simply ridiculous. It is a privately owned accommodation and you have the feeling you are spending the night in someone's house ( you don't really have the privacy feeling of a hotel or a guest house), and for those prices it seemed like a bit overpriced, but this is Italy in August.

Mrs. Gemma was so kind that you feel like you are visiting your aunt in Alghero :) of course her family were very nice to. There wasn't a problem to iron the clothes and talk with her about places to see. She also gave us advices about our safety on Sardegna. We are on gluten Free diet, but there wasn't a problem: the breakfasts were very impressed - bread, sweets, fruits, ham, cheese, jam, nutella, eggs etc. The coffee is the Best in this place !!! I usually drink coffe with milk but espresso in this place was so delicious even for me ! The place is a flat with common living room where we ate breakfasts becouse of the weather and rooms with individual bathrooms. We have a little balcony too with clothes dryer for us and a sea view. The Old Town was 10 minutes walk along the avenue with palm trees along the sea - very nice ! There was a beach near, but We didn't use it. Every Day We found easily place to park a car on the Street for free.

We went from the airport with the bus to the B&B, where Gemmas son welcomed us and showed us around the apartment. The room was nice, clean and attached to a balcony. The location is perfect: quiet and still in walking distance to the center and the beach. In the morning we met Gemma, the host. She is such a lovely person and made us delicious breakfast with local products. She really made this stay very special and memorable for us!

Really nice host who gave helpful recommendations about what to do in Alghero and the region and where to eat. The breakfast on the terrace also was great.

We loved staying at b&b Lloc d‘or! We were welcomed with coffee and biscuits (even though we arrived too early) and the host spent a lot of time answering our questions and giving tips at where to go. Gemma was like a mum <3 and Giovanni Is also very warm-hearted. Everything was perfectly clean and cosy, they had everything we needed, even towels and umbrellas for the beach. The breakfast was wonderful on the roof top terrace with local specialties. The location is perfect to walk into the city centre and to the beach. We definitely want to come back! Thank you so much! We stayed at Gemma's and Giovanni's Bed&Breakfast and I highly recommend it! We had very good breakfast every day on the Terrasse (salty and sweet!). She also packed a breakfast when we left early one day. Gemma gave us umbrellas, mats, towels and a cooling bag for the beach. The room was cleaned every day for perfection and the location was quiet (AC in the room if you get hot). We made excursions every day from Alghero, so I recommend a car! Gemma and Giovanni are super nice and lovely people. They give you nice recommendations and are always available for questions and talking :) Thank you for everything!!!
