Amazing location, host and atmosphere. If we ever come back to Ilha Grande, we will for sure stay here

such a welcoming and relaxing place. I can not recommend Pousada Manaca enough. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Absolutely fantastic location, right on the beach. Stellar view from my balcony. Very nice owner, who took the time to answer any questions. Great breakfast.

The bed was hard. The room itself was very basic, and a bit dank.

It was simply lovely staying at Manaca! Breakfast with fresh fruits and juice, watching sea in front of me. Perfume of flowers of Damas da Noite trees at night. Birds singing in the mornings. Sound of the sea waves. Gerard helpfull and nice to guests

First of all I would like to thank Gerard and the two lovely ladies he has working there. They were excellent, they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay! The two ladies didn't speak much English but they we're quick to use google translate when communicating with us when Gerard wasn't there. The breakfast was made fresh every morning and the rooms cleaned daily. The location was literally perfect, right on the beach and a 5 minute walk from the main town centre. Couldn't recommend this place enough!!!

The location is exceptional, on the beach, such a pleasure to wake up with the sea view every morning. The room is confortable, and the wifi works perfectly (I followed online visioconference easily). The breakfast is very good, especially the homemade juice, the fruit salad, and the pao de queijo. Gerard, the host, is adorable, speaks many language, and has great stories and advices to share.

Ilha Grande is a beautiful island. If you have heavy luggage, you have to hire one of the porters because the roads are sand. It’s better to use the back road instead of the sand because there is a river between the port and the hotel. We stayed only two nights and the owner (presumably) Gerard was more than helpful with his distant sense of humour. No WiFi . No TV. Good & basic breakfast with lovely fresh fruits. Homemade yoghurt. Eggs on demand. Our room was simple with a marvelous sea view. Nice paintings on the walls. Nice size balcony with a hammock. There was no nets on the windows or on the balcony door for mosquitoes but we didn’t encounter any. There was a “safe” in the room with a very simple lock. Abraão is very small village. Every location is quite good except this one is on the beach. There are many tour companies but choosing the medium size boat is better. Beautiful bays to swim around the island.

The hotel somehow needs a bit uplifting.
