Manager was welcoming and helpful, despite my late arrival., and the bed was comfy.
Dated decor and bathroom, quite expensive for what it was. No hairdryer!

The owner, Andrew, went above and beyond to help us. As we didn't have a vehicle he offered us return trips into Gisborne. Also, gave us good tips where to eat and helped store our not insignificant luggage.

Fairly quiet despite proximity to major roads.

No issues, except a pothole as you pull off the main road that nearly took out our suspension - easy fix though.

Shower was good, good pressure and lovely hot water
It was ok I guess, we just didnt sleep very well in the beds, the room was small and you could tell it was an old motel which has been done up and did look nice.
