Generally I was satisfied with almost everything, I can only say good things about the B&B, see my point based evaluation above - around 9 out of 10 points. Clean, great value for money, excellent location, spacious, comfortable room with great views over the sea. Well done Il Girasole, and a big thank you to especially the helpful and generous Marco (big bottles of mineral water added twice during my stay free of charge - very nice gesture! and I could even drink a small bottle of beer) and Thank you!

Breakfast was not great to say the least but it would not be overly fair to impute the generally poor level of Italian breakfasts to this B&B only. It would have been nice and expected *NOT* to have to pay a daily 2 EUR surcharge on orange juice for a breakfast as I had to. It should be included gratis in a breakfast, that's the bare minimum. This was a bit disappointing and below standards. But I know that this was the same situation in Bergamo for example. They should learn a lot, a LOT from the German s and Austrians. On the first day I wanted to take a shower which in the end I did around 9 am in the morning but had to do it in cold water. (I assume lots of people took warm water showers before me before going to work on that day, who knows...?) Bathe either before 8 or 9 or well after during the day on weekdays. The next two days the situation was much better so it's OK. Even though I was not happy with this at the time to use an understatement. Also, better pillows of higher niveau and quality would be nice...

Our host really help us to have a good stay in Crotone. We just had to cross the street to be at the beach. Our host also find us a person to drive us wherre we wanted to go and at a good price.
