Only location is good, close to the beach (but not beach front), and to the bus stand.

I booked shared bath room and they gave us kindly attached bath room, but the water of toilet is not enough so we must go to next room's toilet. Bed size is not enough for 2 person, and the mattress is old? The mattress was not comfortable as the middle area of the mattress was deteriorating and the body sank down a lot. On the second day, they cooked in the kitchen downstairs and the smoke came into our room so much that we couldn't bear to stay there, they changed us to another room, but that room had a broken toilet and no water from the shower. So we had an outdoor water-only shower, which they called a 'Shared Shower', but it was clearly not meant to be a guest shower, just a shower space covered by a concrete wall, where I was taking a water shower, and the bugs were running down the wall and It was disgusting. It is not something guests should be using. This guest house appears to need repairs before allowing guests to stay in any of the rooms, as the water system is either broken or not functioning. For this facility, we thought the accommodation was good for around USD 3 (in fact, it was double that amount). In fact, they did not present any pictures of the inside of the room, but I could see why. It is because it is not clean.

The room is really old, the bathroom too with a lot of insects. The bed wasn't confortable.

White House is an historic colonial cottage surrounded by jungle and close proximity to both the town and beach, plus the owner was friendly and kind.

The owner and his sister are true gem, they understand what a traveller needs, they are super helpful, the cooking of the sister is great.

After travelling in sri Lanka for some time, i was quite surprised with the condition of my room. I understand rooms along the coast are more expensive but the flush wasnt working so had to use a bucket, everything was very old. I was glad i was staying just for one night. There might be better rooms though

Basic accommodation very near the beach with the nicest family you will meet in Sri Lanka. This is backpacking as it used to be. The garden is full of wildlife .. I lost count of the species of birds ... Mongoose and Monkeys visit often The family will go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible This is not 5 star .. it is basic ... but the family are 5 star ... including their pet cow

Very friendly & kind family, we could borrow snorkeling stuff. They prepared very tasty breakfast. Quiet place. Quick walk to the main beach. Family kindly adopted several doggies from the street. Very good price for basic accomodation.

The shower is very basic, just be prepared for some ants walking around the walls there (no problem for us).
