Exceptional service by the hotel and housekeeping staffs, as expected of Mariott. Rooms were huge, housekeeping ensured everything was clean.

1. While it was obvious that we had a double booking on the hotel (due to some erroneous mistake during my booking.com booking), the hotel refuse to waive the cancellation fee on the other room. 2. The hotel is too far away from the city. Everywhere we go is like 30min. While Yogyakarta is a small city, a 30-min trip is considerably a waste of time. 3. The elevator is hidden and too far from the lobby/receptionist. The lobby-to-elevator long walk is almost similar to those beach-front resorts in Bali. 4. The room next to me is super noisy I had to bang the walls to make them stop yelling at each other. 5. Breakfast time was the worst. While the whole breakfast area already look like a market with too many people, they put me in this M-Lounge where the A/C is at least run at 18 degree Celcius, super cold. 6. There's earthquake during the second night, not really the hotel fault, but it added such a negative experience while staying here.

The name in the welcome message was the name of a stranger.

I order city view room. But when I check in, they gave me a room with *NO VIEW*, the room face toward a wall. Room No. 376. After complain to the front desk, they quickly solved the problem and changed my room into a room with really city view. Although I was not happy in the begining, their attitude and respect to the guests really made me feel great in the end.

There is no proper changing room for the pool

Overall, I had a great experience with Marriott, staff was incredibly accommodating, and the amenities were great specially the Pool area. And for the breakfast, they have a good ambiance with amazing food and good service. I enjoyed my meal due to there are a lot of food choices and all taste wonderful. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect for relaxation and/or for weekend getaway. Highly recommended!

The price shown on booking.com did not match the price I paid, I ended paying more. The staff was patient and the duty manager was very courteous

Breakfast choice was excellent. Beds were comfy although a bit muted in design.

Ordered dinner at the grill restaurant and was served rotten prawns. Returned it and NO staff came to apologise or to offer replacement for the food, and it was also charged into my bill. Again, no apologies there and I asked for it to be striked out of my bill.
