Wegen Bauarbeiten Parkplatz auf dem Tanzwerder (kostenlos), ca. 4 min zu Fuß zum Hotel, völlig problemlos. Diesbezüglich Vorabinfo vom Hotel erhalten. Tolle Lage. Sehr netter Empfang. Upgrade zu einer Suite (nur, 22): sehr schön, großzügig, mit Blick auf den Fluss und eigener Sauna, die wir allerdings aus Zeitgründen nicht nutzen konnten. Fliegengitter am Fenster, normale Vorhänge (keine komplette Verdunkelung). Unsere Anreise war erst um ca. 21:00 Uhr. Am Empfang wurde uns netterweise angeboten, uns ein kaltes Abendessen zu richten, falls wir in der Stadt kein offenes Restaurant mehr finden sollten. Dies war auch der Fall, nur auf dem Tanzwerder war noch eine Pizzeria geöffnet (Pizza um 21.30 Uhr). Im Hotel nette Bar, die lange geöffnet ist.

Leuk plaatsje. Schitterende omgeving.
Jammer dat er weg werkzaamheden waren in het plaatsje. Daar waren wij wel van op de hoogte.

Absolutely beautiful little hotel with room views over the river. We ended up with the last room which turned out to be a suite, fantastic facilities. Breakfast was very good but the scrambled eggs were worthy of a Michelin star. Cooked to perfection! Staff were very friendly and gave us a little background into the hotel. Perfect location for exploring this beautiful historic town.
No tea or coffee facilities in the room, this was however available in reception so not a big gripe.

This was our second time here. We stayed overnight in June and returned in October. I love it when old buildings are tastefully turned into hotels, and this is no exception. There are nicely decorated large rooms, comfortable beds and a nice cosy seating area.

A lovely hotel right next to the rivers. We enjoyed hearing the river from our window. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a nice room and breakfast was excellent.

We were able to park next to the hotel, which was great. But there are very few places, so it could happen that you need to park much further away and that would be quite inconvenient.

The breakfast was excellent with an assortment of cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, jams and breads. The cook will make eggs to order. The hotel is solid and well constructed and in a fabulous location. The rushing water of the Werra outside your window is relaxing. A partial view of Tillyschanze Turm is a bonus.
Would have liked to have soap for the shower.

No meals available except breakfast in a hotel that includes the word cafe in its name is not acceptable. After nine hours travelling the last thing you want is to have to go out to find dinner especially in a small town.

Renovated old building but sympathetically. Roaring log fire in the bar area. Very large rooms with heavy wooden bed and tables - had a real German feel to it but the bathroom was totally modern and also big. Perfect combination. Lovely view of the river and a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The Italian man at reception also advised on local restaurants and made bookings for everyone. Bar open 24/7.
The hotel restaurant was not open but this could be due to pandemic knock-on effects or that we went there out of season.

We made a reservation for a night and a dinner. We were asked to wait in our room for the dinner. After one hungry hour we went te the hotel restaurant to hear we would not get anything to eat anymore. So , at 21.00 we went to the village to get some food.
