Very enjoyable, excellent rooms and breakfast. The parking can be and is a nightmare
The location for exploring, the buffet breakfast was a lovely selection, always different things to eat every morning. Restaurant next door for evening meals
It advertises possible parking on site but there isn`t any. You might be lucky to park nearby, the other side of the road is meter parking until 6.oopm. You cannot pay by card as advertised only cash. You are told the machine is broken, but looking back at reviews it has been like that for 2 years or more.

Think twice before booking. If you want to feel as if you have been taken for a mug. Book here!!
This review is for the apartment ( with kitchen facilities ) that my wife and I booked. On a basic level the room was functional, it was well heated, spacious and had a nice hot shower. Good points after a day of hiking at -2c temperatures
This establishment is clearly in need of a makeover and is relying on reviews from long ago. Power points are not well placed or abundant. The bed linen whilst clean left something to be desired with regard to comfort. Kitchen equipment, crockery etc were barely sufficient. Parking is essentially to the side of the road outside. We opted for the inclusive breakfast in the total price. This is were the hotel fell down completely in its overall impression. before highlighting the issues, we would consider ourselves to be frequent travellers taking at least two weekends away from home every month over many years. Breakfast was a extremely poor experience with the owner sitting in the dining room watching all the guests (almost the whole time) who numbered seven in total. This was not to assist guests as the VERY POOR selection offered was not replaced eg. we and others were hunting for a boiled egg. At no time were any items replaced or topped up. The distinct impression given to us, was an owner deliberately restricting guests and making them feel uncomfortable to actually eat. Above all, was the way the entire experience made us feel. We felt we were being monitored constantly, thereby creating the desire in us to vacate the dining room as soon as possible. I am a great dog lover having ownership of at least two dogs at any one moment in time. However as was the case here, I totally disagree with the owner allowing her pet dog to wander in the dining room. The owner simply does not know if all guests are comfortable with dogs or any other pet. This is aside from any hygiene issues that should be considered. On arrival we were told card payment was not possible as the machine was broken . We have encountered this phenomenon a lot since Coronavirus and even if true, did not stop the owner from forewarning guests via email. A simple easy thing to do. Equally easy and very simple. Do not offer breakfast if you are unwilling to fulfill it adequately.
