The little apartment we stayed in was in the historical center of the city. It was spacious.

We were very astonished to find the hotel in such a state due to its 5 stars and the excellent notation and comments on booking. The hotel is not accessible by car so we had to leave the car in a parking nearby where we had to pay 60 lev for 1 day! The apartment was very noisy, the extra bed we requested was not made when we arrived, the breakfast was really bad and the tables didn't seem to have been cleaned when we arrived the next morning. Unfortunately we don't recommend this hotel at all.

The room and the building itself are very nice and in a good location. But still, for 5* hotel you expect not only a nice room but also professional customer service and variety of facilities which was missing.

It’s a great location and a charming old house, more like a guest-house than a hotel. Family run, and they could not have been more helpful. Hard to get a taxi to come there, though.

The location of the hotel was outstanding. We could anywhere in a few minutes. You can't beat the location - it was perfect for doing tourist activities and going out at night. And we wanted a fun experience staying in a historic building - which it was true to its description and a very cool experience. The staff was friendly.

The air conditioning did not sufficiently cool down the room, which made it very hard to sleep comfortably. I want to be fair and note (1) that's a bit expected in a super old building and (2) while we were there was record-breaking heat over 100 degrees morning and night. But it definitely impacted our comfort. The breakfast was not great with a minimal spread that had been sitting out a while for the few guests staying there. The people working the breakfast were very kind and accommodating including bringing additional fresh cut vegetables out, but the breakfast buffet was not substantial and the food itself was a bit disappointing. The entrance to room opened up literally into the restaurant. The restaurant (and often-playing pianist) were just on the other side of our windows. We returned to our room to find that there were families eating at the table not 4 feet from the front of our door with loud piano music playing. It felt like, in the evenings particularly, that we didn't have appropriate privacy or quiet.

The modern room was terrible. Old, shabby and the bathroom was decrepit. The walkways and outside space were nothing like the photos and had old furniture and old fridges left there

Charming, restored historic building and room, fitted out with lovely antique furniture. Very comfortable bed. We loved the location in the Old Town, and the atmospheric, hilly cobbled streets - close to the Old Town's attractions, yet walking distance to the lower town's restaurants and attractions too. Very good breakfast.

The breakfast was quite normal nothing exceptional. The ambiance was great though. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the whole hotel atmosphere was very charming.

Breakfast could have been slightly better with more options given the fact that this hotel is a 5 star hotel.

The room was significantly more spacious than expected and spotlessly clean. The location is absolutely perfect, right between the Kapana district and the old town of Plovdiv. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was not luxurious but more than enough and good quality.

When we got to the room, it was uncommonly warm, as the AC was set to 30 degrees Celsius: there is no reason to keep an AC at such temperature at any time; all the while, the bathroom heating was turned off, making it extremely cold; also, the bathroom shower was extremely unpredictable, with either too much or too low pressure, and took some time to heat up.

Terrible service! I was told that they start breakfast at 8:30. I had a meeting with the client at 9:00 and thought I have plenty of time to have breakfast that I paid for. As the result, they started serving breakfast at 8:50(!!) saying that everything is under control. Finally, I left the hotel hungry.

We have stayed in maisonette with kitchenette type of room and nowhere in the description it is said that it is actually not in the hotel but several blocks away. So it is rather not a part of hotel but apartment. And I actually chose hotel because I feel safer when there is a reception, etc, than in some apartment with entrance from the street. It is exactly not a 5star hotel, not even 4. It doesn’t have the amenities which are necessary to receive stars, how it is happened to be a 5 star? I have paid for the room when we were reserving it. When we arrived, the receptionist asked about payment and I told that we have paid. I checked and after the breakfast I confirmed that I have paid and asked to check. When I came to check out, he asked for payment- I showed him a Booking app and confirmation from bank, and I was in a hurry. However he made me stay there while was calling colleague and from their conversation I understood that he just doesn’t know where to look the confirmation of payment. It was very rude to keep me to wait until they were talking and discussing!!! Also colleague asked him, do I understand in Bulgarian because I can feel bad about this situation and he should apologize, and he told: no I don’t think she understands) though I talked to him in Bulgarian and of course I understood.

the breakfast was awful, really no choice apart from cereal and toast. we had to request to move rooms as the modern one we booked a) not part of the main building b) nowhere NEAR 5 stars c) people staying upstairs shouting playing loud music until midnight and no one at reception to help. it was an overall disappointing stay which really put a downer on our trip to Plovdiv.

This hotel is utterly charming! The vintage rooms are so stylish and exquisite in design. The restaurant is first rate! A charming musician performs 3 times aweek a variety of traditional and popular tunes. The chef Dobromir Todorov has a Michelin star background and it is no woinder! Delectable!! The breakfast buffet has great variety and is abundant! The staff are efficient and friendly, the place is spotless and locatation is perfect , right in the old town and 3 minutes to the artistic Kapana district. All the staff felt like an instant family, I will be comimg back!

Definitely not a 5star hotel! Dark rooms, practically no bathroom in the room, cold and no central heating. Hesitating staff.

Nothing really the dinner was a bit pricey and pretentious and not good value really.
