This well located house is perfect for a family of 4 stopping in Saint Antonin Noble Val. It's called Bijou, but there is plenty of room in the 3 storeys. The living room on the 1st floor is delightful. We really relaxed in there, reading in the relative cool while it was 34C outside.
The bedrooms were comfortable but very warm in the evening.
The apartment is about 2 minutes walk from the main square, but very quiet at night.
The pool is just enough to cool down you down on the really hot days. It's nice and clean and well maintained.
The stairs inside the property are very steep, as any house built in the medieval. If that is an issue, then this place is not for you. If you like period properties, and can manage the stairs then this is a great choice.
The hosts showed us in, gave us the keys and left. That's exactly what I like - it's not a bed and breakfast so don't expect a guided tour. I goit the feeling if I wanted more detail they would happily provide it. Very good hosts.
I would definitely stay in this house again, and recommend it to friends.

We had an absolutely lovely week at this property. The hosts were so attentive and made us feel very welcome. The location is amazing, you in in the heat of a bustling village but also it is super peaceful. The house is beautiful and we would definitely return. Absolutely 5 gold stars ⭐️ from us!

We loved the house that had everything we needed and more . In a medieval home the modern amenties were perfect. Dishwasher, washing machine , tv and good showers were a bonus.
The garden was a lovely space with the pool being just the job for a dip during the hot weather.
Claire was on hand to help us find the house amid the alleyays of St Antonin Noble Val and then kept us stocked with fresh flowers and information about good places to visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend!

A really wonderful place to stay in the heart of the town. The property was very well equipped, with a beautiful courtyard and pool. Clare and Tony were incredibly friendly and helpful, always on hand if we needed anything! We'll definitely be returning.

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely holiday house in St Antonin - what a find! The house was clean, well presented and central - only a minute's walk from the very epicentre. Our host, Clare was warm and helpful, making herself available to us should we have needed anything. This is the perfect holiday bolthole for families with children. We hope to stay again - thank you!

Very nice little house close to the village center. bars, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Free public parking is available, but might be difficult during the weekend. Hosts are very nice and helpful, there is plenty of information material available for short trips to the surroundings. A perfect place to spend two relaxing weeks in a wonderful place.

Lovely town with lots to do nearby! Clare very helpful and welcoming! We visit France every year and this has been right up there with the best.

Wonderful stay
We enjoyed our stay immensely in this medieval house in the heart of the village. It is comfortable and atmospheric and the owners were wonderful in communicating and very helpful. Since the house is centuries old, there are quirks and steep stairs. But we would certainly love to stay again.

Charming and comfortable medieval town house
Maison Fleurie is a charming and comfortable medieval town house, particularly suitable for those who will enjoy using the local restaurants and bars in this pretty town. Our hosts were extremely helpful during the booking and check in process and responded immediately to resolve a technical problem with the pool.

It doesn't get any better than this
This property is in the heart of Saint Antonin with the most beautiful view from the master bedroom window. It boasts 2 decent sized bedrooms, a lovely lounge and fully equipped farm house kitchen. It had everything we needed including a court yard at the back with dining table and chairs. a barbeque and outside lounge area. The pool area was lovely with a table and deck chairs. Its only 2 min walk into the centre of the village (and a restaurant 50m away from the house). The hostess, Clare was very inviting. The place was spotless. We were provided with little welcome gifts which was the cherry on top for me (wine, bread, milk etc). A nice touch. Very professional and inviting. The pool was cleaned mid stay and Clare was extremely helpful when it came to answering questions about where to go and what to do. Lovely neighbours as an extra perk. You won't get any better than this and the price for our stay was reasonable. We would definitely go back!!

Lovely stay in Maison Fleurie
Lovely old stone 3 storey house in the heart of Saint Antonin Nobel de Val. It has everything you need in the kitchen, a nice splash pool with lovely sunny courtyard sitting areas.
Clare was a great host with plenty of communication coming up to our stay & lots of useful info on the area while we were there. Plenty to do in the town & local area too.

A winner!
We loved staying in this charming and wonderfully comfortable house. Great location, a few minutes from the centre of this fascinating medieval village with its first class weekend farmers market (don't miss it!). Clare and Tony are first-class hosts, being most available and communicative and providing a generous and thoughtful supply of everything you could ever need, including an excellent compendium of information on the town and nearby attractions. Everything is spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, the view from the bedroom window a medieval picture-perfect sight. This is delightful accommodation in a wonderfully picturesque town. Highly recommended!

Lovely house, beautiful old village, great hosts.
The house has a lovely old "cottage" feel to it, it but has all the comforts of a modern house (and great internet!). There are two courtyards and whilst one is largely taken up by the pool they are both lovely, and private places to sit and have a glass of wine.
We came to St. Antonin house hunting having discovered the area a few years ago, and the hosts, Clare and Tony, were really helpful.
Thanks

A real five-star holiday find
This was the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday we have been on in years.
St Antonin Noble Val itself is a delightful medieval town, full of character and scattered with interesting buildings. One of the great pleasures was simply to sit in the cafe in the market square and watch the largely car-free life of the town go by.
I cannot speak too highly of the house. From the sun-trap courtyards and pool to the comfortably furnished and well-equipped living rooms, it is an ideal place to spend a week or two doing pretty much nothing. I got through quite a few books.
The owners, too, deserve a more than honourable mention. Clare met us on our arrival and gave us a friendly welcome and helpful introduction to the house and town; she then checked by text that evening that all was well, and came back the following day to help us with the one thing we hadn't worked out for ourselves.
It helped, of course, that the weather was good, right up to the huge thunderstorm on the final evening, which was itself quite entertaining. But even without that, I would have regarded this place as a real find.
All together, the town, house and Clare make this a real five-star place to spend a holiday. Thanks for having us.

Great house in an amazing village
This was our second stay at Maison fleurie, we particularly like the amount of outdoor space. The only negative is the steep stairs but that is medieval houses for you!

A home from home; but not my home!
Really rather average accommodation and disappointing. A lot of money (greedy really!) for what you get vs season and location. Pics not reflective of property, and kitchen in particular dreadful. Bedding clean but 'pulled' fitted sheets and everything is Ikea and cheap/well-used. Felt 'out of season' and money for old rope! No effort made to 'show' property when arrived, which reinforced a classic 'money-spinner' and either no clue how to welcome, as quick as 'here is the keys', or genuinely happy to take your money! Pity, just think owners need to breathe some fresh air into their approach and certainly the property! Pool (hardly!) dreadful and we wouldn't use at all; mound, slime and constant foliage/leaves re over-hanging branches ... cut back that area!! Kitchen is really the worst I've come across; managed to have (stretched) look down back of main work top (eeeeek!). Top floor toilet; just sit on the toilet seat and have a good look at the sink area and, in particular, the pipes... gross! Carpets frayed on stairs.
We enjoyed our stay overall re we spent little time at the property and explored local area; I do not recommend this property.

Amazing place - oasis in town centre
In a narrow alley behind a green door is a haven of tranquillity planted with Japanese Maple, the air scented with Trachelospermum jasminoides, the ground carpeted in pebbles. Here we found our new medieval home, our hosts greeted us warmly, suggested a good private parking spot for our bikes, and showered us with invaluable information about the locality. A really useful selection of basic food and drink was already in the kitchen. Well presented, it's clean and very well equipped. Excellent WiFi. Despite the hot weather this ancient house is cool and comfortable.
It's a five star property, which is not perfect in some respects; a worn carpet and a noisy upstairs WC plus tiny hand rinse basin. The car parking is in a public square nearby. Master bedroom has a huge and comfortable double bed. The simply furnished twin room is quite small. Downstairs is a kitchen/diner with washing machine, as well as a good shower room with WC, basin and ample hot water. The middle floor is a comfortable lounge. I found the garden with two enclosed courtyards the most surprising element; heated pool, three piece suite, dining table, washing line, barbecue, not overlooked and incredibly peaceful. By day squadrons of swifts and swallows keep the insect population at bay and at dusk the bats patrol the night skies. All this at a place right in the heart of the charming medieval town with loads to see, do & drink. Everyone should go kayaking, walking can be spectacular, the tree top adventure route looked impressive & new. All these activities can be done within walking distance. We ate out every evening, the cooker went unused since restaurants were plentiful. We loved our stay and will always fondly remember this place, hankering to return.

Private comfortable gite in centre of medieval town.
This property has loads of character as befits accommodation situated so close to the centre of such a beautiful and historic town like Saint Antonin. The house is on three floors, kitchen and shower on ground floor, a comfortable living room on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second. Master bedroom has a fantastic view over the towns rooftops and surrounding hills. Outside there is a very private courtyard with a pool in which to cool off, a seating area to lounge with a good read and a glass of wines and dining table and chairs. We really enjoyed using the barbecue in the evening, all necessary equipment and fuel provided. The courtyard also enabled us to take in the sun or shade all day as we wished. Shops and restaurants are all a minute or two from the property, yet it felt very peaceful. A book of walks allowed us to explore the surrounding area on the cooler days and we had plenty to do locally. Highlights were the Sunday market and kayaking down the river Aveyron. Clare and Tony were perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble for them and we appreciated all the extra touches to make our stay so comfortable.

A quaint and lovely cottage in the heart of things
We (family of 4) spent a wonderful week at this historic, well appointed house in the centre of gorgeous St Antonin. The village is so, so pretty, a jumble of medieval houses, cafes and boulangeries with an 'oh-so-French' square at its heart. The house is literally a minute's walk from this square and yet if you sit out in the pretty courtyard it is so peaceful. We enjoyed breakfast in our courtyard and dinner in several of the restaurants in town, we would recommend Befroi Tempatations. We also had a fabulous day kayaking on the Aveyron (Pieds dans l'eau speak good English and are very friendly). Our boys (12 and 8) loved the courtyard pool. The house itself has everything you will need, including comfy beds and a good selection of books. The owner's kept their distance but were just around the corner if needed.
We heartily recommend this place.

Quirky but delightful place to stay in a lovely medieval town centre.
The property is in the heart of the medieval town giving you a real French living experience. The historic house is well equipped and comfortable and was clean and well maintained. There are a lot of stairs but the climb up to the bedrooms is worth it as the reward is a birds eye view of the ancient roofs of the town, a platform to observe the comings and goings of house martins, swallows and swifts and see glimpses of the Gorge d'Aveyron. The courtyard is delightful and a great spot in the sun to enjoy your morning croissants. The boulangerie, bars and a variety of restaurants are all a short step away. Our favourite bar La Halle seems to be the place where locals and visitors hang out and the service was always friendly. The town has a good variety of shops and a small supermarket in town with a larger one on the outskirts. It also has an amazing market every Sunday morning which you must not miss ! It is a good base to explore the area by car, on foot or by canoe available for hire in several places on the nearby river.
Clare and Tony, the owners are a delight and couldn't have been more helpful before and during our stay. They are great fun and very knowledgeable about the town and its surroundings. Even though we had a late arrival Clare was there to meet us and had shopped to make sure we had food for an evening meal. A problem with the downstairs shower was quickly dealt with and resolved.
We had a fab stay in Maison Fleurie and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

A Week Was Not Enough!
For us, this was the first of 3 different properties in 3 different regions during 3 weeks in France in May 2016 . The only reason we did not give the property a "5" was because of the stairs which are steep and require focus. We had no problems and did not allow THAT to reduce our wine intake. It is a fact which is inalterable, but know that there are so many positive trade offs. It is a totally charming update to a centuries-old property in the heart of a charming small town.
While we had seen the movie, "The 100 Foot Journey", we were not aware that St.-Antonin-Noble-Val was the location of the local film shoots. The town is walkable throughout and we felt almost as if we had become locals by the end of the stay. We relaxed and explored, both by auto and the local hiking trails. There are plenty of hikes starting from in town. The local market on Sunday is not to be missed. But, be warned that all of the restaurants become "complet", so plan accordingly.
The plunge pool in the courtyard was a bit brisk, but it was only early May, so it would be most enjoyable during the hotter times.. We enjoyed the sunny courtyard with its patio, dining table, BBQ and privacy. Tony and Clare live nearby and were perfect hosts. After our drive following the flight from London City to Bergerac, it was great to be greeted with some welcome goodies! The host met us as we parked our car "a deux pas" from the house. The house met our expectations and was quite comfortable and quiet. We found the kitchen well-equipped, the patio even better. Shopping the small Carrefour, 5 minutes walk away, provided the necessities and more. And, the local shops--bakeries and artisanal charcuterie---provided the rest.
We have rented now about 2 dozen properties in France and this house and town did not disappoint. We left many things we had hoped to do undone. We are not ones to just "check the box" and move on. Our motto when traveling is "Travel as if you will come back!" We hope to return! Thanks again to Clare and Tony!

Charming, comfortable and generally delightful!
Really impressed with this charming house. Incredibly helpful owners who provided a warm welcome and absolutely everything else, even a bottle of bubbly! The village is so picturesque and loads to do also. Didn't want to come home and would definitely like to return!!

A little gem in a historic setting.
The village house is little gem, being situated in the heart of the medieval town, it was wonderful to walk 100 yards to a bar, restaurant or ice cream shop. We lived in the courtyard garden and the pool was perfect for the children, 9 and 13. The house had everything you needed and very comfortable. It was such a pleasure to look out onto the roof tops from the bedroom windows. The kitchen was well appointed, there was plenty of tea and coffee and the welcome pack meant was god send after a long drive. We enjoyed walking to the river in the evening and the Sunday market. The canoeing was really touristy, but such good fun - a must. The owners were super friendly and just round the corner, so any problems they were there in seconds. We would highly recommend this holiday, we loved the historic setting, made a change from the secluded villa's we normally go for.

an excellent base for exploring
As others have said this is a very well equipped property in a delightful old town which is rich in historical architectural interest. It is comfortably furnished and has everything needed from hairdryer to dishwasher, and those importtant things often missing in French houses an electric kettle and a toaster. There is a 'nespresso' type machine with pods but we preferred the cafetiere. It is not suited to those who have difficulty with stairs as it is a narrow 3 storey house. There are two courtyards, one with a dining table chairs , armchairs, sofa and coffee table and one with a partially above ground pool. These courtyards unfortunately got most sun in the middle of the day when we weren't there. However we enjoyed walking down to the guingette by the riverside to enjoy a drink in the evening sun. We enjoyed shopping for food at all the local markets and the house was well set up for cooking. If you really need a large shop there is a Carrefour just outside the village.
St Antonin is a very good centre for day trips . We recommend, Najac, Le jardin du Quercy, Beaulieu Abbey, Penne, Bruniquel,Cordes,Puycelci,Castelnau de Montmiral, Villefranche de Rouerge. If you are a walker marked trails begin in the village, guide in house. Albi and the valley of the Tarn deserve more than a day. Add on a stay at le Treille d'Albi B&B. Les jardins de Martel on the way to Toulouse from Albi is also lovely and good for kids.
