NOUVELLE LISTE AUTOMNE DE 2019 - Ketcham's Corner est un chalet confortable et classique de deux étages. Vous allez adorer l’intérieur revisité qui garde toujours cette "montagne" avec ses poutres et ses plafonds en bois Cette maison a la chaleur centrale et un poêle à bois. Le linge de maison est fourni. Le plan d'étage ouvert offre de nombreux endroits pour s'asseoir, parler, regarder la télévision à écran plat 40 "ou simplement profiter de la vue. Il existe une télévision par câble, une connexion Wi-Fi, un lecteur DVD, une bibliothèque de DVD, la radio Amazon Echo, des jeux et puzzles et des jeux de neige en hiver pour les enfants, destinés aux loisirs tout temps. Il y a même quelques guitares à jouer si vous voulez! Le magnifique pont enveloppant a beaucoup de meubles et est parfait pour les barbecues en été, le bronzage ou la lecture d'un bon livre. La cuisine bien équipée et bien équipée offre tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour profiter de votre visite - y compris un mixeur, une cafetière traditionnelle, une cafetière Keurig et une cafetière à expresso italien (instructions fournies par le propriétaire). Les deux chambres et une salle de bain (avec combo douche / baignoire) sont à l'étage principal. Chaque chambre a un lit queen. A l'étage se trouve une mezzanine et une deuxième salle de bain avec douche. Le loft a un lit queen et 2 lits jumeaux (un avec lit gigogne double) ainsi qu'une table de jeu de baby-foot. La maison peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes. Barbecue au charbon de bois à l'usage des clients par temps saisonnier (le propriétaire fournit du charbon de bois). Les clients ont accès au centre de loisirs de Blue Lake Springs en été (des frais supplémentaires s'appliquent). Cabine est à distance de marche du centre de rec / piscine. Le propriétaire fournit des serviettes de plage pour les clients. L'entrée de cette cabine est en gravier, légère pente. Parking d'été pour quatre voitures. Ne pas fumer. 3 nuits minimum pendant les périodes de vacances. DOGS bien élevés OK ok avec l'approbation, des frais supplémentaires seront appliqués.

No power for 1 1/2 days. I did get notified the power was out prior to check in and that I may want to "grab extra flashlights". Good thing I did because the only flashlights we found were 2 small ones. There was a wood burning stove but the starter 1/2 balls provided were not sufficient. There was no kindling provided just 2 huge wood wedges. The wood outside was wet and un-usable. Temp in the cabin got down to 52 degrees. When the power finally came back on, there was no internet connection so we were unable to access computers, tv or cell phones. Being a mountain home, I understand that things happen and weather changes and can cause issues but the cabin in not prepared to handle ANY issues. Investing in a back up battery or generator system, remotely checking connections and ensuring there is supply for emergencies/weather issues would go a long way to show customer service/care. We left a day early! I hope the next persons stay is better than ours.

The location was great with quick access to town and our point of interest Calaveras Big Trees and the beds were super comfortable. But, unfortunately the property itself did not live up to the listing description. Kitchen appliances and pans were dirty with dust and grease. The vacuum cleaner was completely full and needed to be enjoyed before we could use it. And there was tons of trash and debris under the upstairs beds. We were also disappointed too find out that the hot tub listed in the homes amenities was not actually available and had only been noted in a single line note in the homes description. I did mention that the main listing should be updated with that info and it should removed from the list of available amenities so that it doesn't show up in searches for properties with a hot tub and folks aren't confused like we clearly were. ***Be ware that if you have small children, this isn't the safest as the stairs are far from regulation and can easily fall through the railings or down the steep steps***

Overall, great owners, very attentive and we’d definitely stay here during the winter months again! FYI-I never give 5 stars because to me, that indicates perfection and IMHO, anything can be improved. The backyard was great for our needs with all fresh snow and we were able to do sledding for our 3 year old boys and 6 year old. Plenty of room for the dog to run as well and it was beautiful scenery with hills, trees and mini creeks; very relaxing! The interior was just right for 5 adults that appreciate cozy quarters and 3 kids (3 year old twins and 6 year old) and 70 pound lab. New appliances were wonderful. Other interior items (ie: light fixtures, drawers, cabinets, shelves with hooks) had loose connections and handles but nothing that significantly affected our stay. Biggest suggestions for improvements: Both toilets often bubbled upon flushing to where liquid (just a drop or 2) would spit out of toilet onto floor so we were frequently cleaning that because it came from contents of toilet before it was all clean water. My dad reminds me this is a frequent challenge with maintenance on houses with septic. We’ve also had this experience with other homes we’ve stayed at. The owner immediately attended to our concerns regarding the large quantity of white dog hair on couch, under couch and in sheets and indicated they were going to use a different cleaning service in the future. Again, we definitely plan to stay here in the future!

Everything was clean! Sheila was very responsive from the beginning. We had a few nice days of getaway and this cabin is in the perfect location. We had sun, we had snow and lots of laughs. This cabin is the perfect size for 7-8 people.

Overall a great place to stay in terms of location: there is even a restaurant 4 min on foot away, which is only open in certain hours but still. The house has everything we needed, the hosts were amazing and super understanding, so this is a huge plus. Note: I would not recommend sleeping upstairs in winter and this is a loft and always colder than downstairs. The heat takes a long time to travel up, so it was very hot in downstairs bedrooms and still cold upstairs. One of the twin beds was crooked and you’d sleep head or feet down, not parallel to the floor. Otherwise they even provide small headlights for tye guests (to borrow), and all linens and everything you need. Alexa and soft music playing when we came in was a nice touch! I’d stay again but probably in summer when it is warmer or just plan to sleep in the bedrooms. Thanks again to the hosts!

Firstly, I almost never give out 5 stars so don't take my final rating as not good. Yes there were things that were not perfect but to be honest, very very few things are. We loved the cosiness, the modern appliances (shocked) and the location. We were traveling to Bear Valley each day for skiing but while it was a a fair drive of about 30 mins it was worth it as this cabin was very cost effective. The cabin was warm, had a nice fire stove that we used and all around was a great stay. We talked about booking the same cabin next year.
