This was our third time on the lake, but first time at PML. So many positive things to say!! Perfect location, it was 4 hours exactly from Cincinnati, the house is positioned back between two coves (completely private) making it the ideal location to kayak and swim. I would have to say this house is my favorite location so far! The view is just breathtaking and YES Gerry it is as beautiful and some of the lakes in Montana!! We can't thank you enough for your kindness!!! Gerry and Bridget really know how to take care of their guests. Please let the cleaning crew know how much we appreciated them! The house was ready and just perfect!

The owners are extremely responsive and any questions were answered promptly. The preparation email had all of the information we needed to know what to expect and what we should bring for our trip. This cabin is in a perfect location, close to many marinas but set back away from most of the waves. The drive in can be a little intimidating, but once you've done it, you know what to expect. If you happen to miss the driveway, you'll need to back up to make the turn as it is too sharp to make from the other direction. We had room to park several vehicles and 2 trailers and there was room to maneuver trailers for the return trip. The dock is well equipped with bumpers for your boat, plenty of places for visitors to tie up, and the perfect place for swimming. The views from the deck (and dock) are amazing and watching the mist roll through the mountains in the morning is peaceful and serene. The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable, plenty space for our extended family. We had most everything we needed in the kitchen and there is ample seating for dining and family games. We were also able to move chairs around the deck to eat meals outside to enjoy the view. Thank you for sharing your home, it made our first family trip to Norris very enjoyable. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect in every way! Great location, beautiful cabin. Easy communication. This place has everything you would ever need for a trip to the lake! Also, the easiest walk down to the dock/lake!

It was everthing the reviews said it was. Great location! We arrived on Saturday 5/13 the main walkway from dry land to the boat dock had floated out of position ,and neither I nor my wife could reach the dock. I called the owner and he had it repaired that evening!! Plus we found a black rat snake on top of the stacked firewood and the same man who repaired the dock took care of the snake!! I am deathly afraid of snakes! Other than that the week was perfect, we even caught fish!

We stayed at this property over spring break. This home was absolutely perfect! You can tell the owners put a lot of love in this home. It is clean, spacious, and the location is perfect. It is right on the lake with a private deck. They have a nice covered table on the dock perfect for hanging out. There is a fire pit with several chairs for a campfire. Perfect for s’mores and star gazing. They had two kayak’s that my kids enjoyed exploring the lake. The owners had a ton of information and recommendations for us. We had a fishing guide take us on a half day of fishing. My son caught a 30 pound striper. and my daughter a 15 pound striper. We cooked it up on the grille back at the house. This is the perfect spot for a family and or friend vacation. We plan on going back again and again.

Went to this cabin for Christmas with my family . Nearly cried when we walked in the home and property was so beautiful . Only wish it was summer and we had a boat . Our host was wonderful and very helpful snd concerned about how our stay was. Had car trouble and a newbie he contacted helped out . Very friendly . Will definitely recommend this place . Gorgeous and well kept if you want a cabin like atmosphere but modernized with the most wonderful lake view !! Thank u . Katherine C.

The property’s description was so accurate, and is one of the cleanest rentals we have stayed in. Gerry was wonderful to communicate with since the time of booking. He was very thorough on directions, restaurants, and home accommodations. We absolutely LOVED the steadiness of the dock, the size of the dock, and the ability to have our boat in all week. The cleanest rental we have ever stayed in! Everything you need in the kitchen, the grill and outdoor fire pit. The dock fit our boat and the kids enjoyed jumping off! A great week!

We were coming for a regatta near by but knew nothing about the area. After a sometimes scary drive to what felt like the middle of nowhere, we came down the driveway to stunning views! We felt like we were the only ones on the lake! The house was the perfect place for our family get away. The kitchen was big and had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large family. The owner was super helpful before we arrived, all his suggestions were spot on. He recommended a marina for boat rental and they were great! I wish we had planned a longer stay! I would recommend this property to anyone! Thanks for having us! Hopefully we can return soon!

It is a beautiful home with a beautiful view. We were treated like family!!! They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time and that we made memories that would last a lifetime. We are definitely planning to go back. Gerry Sr and Gerry Jr answered all our questions and were essentially to making our trip a success.

Enjoyed a very relaxing vacation at Powder Mill Lodge to see the fall colors and go fly fishing. The views from the deck are serene and the home is very comfortable and clean. We had a great time fishing on the Clinch River. The owners were very attentive. Hope to return.

The cabin was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean with a perfect set up for our group of 6.(4 adults, a 7yr old, and a 2yr old) We agreed that it could easily accommodate 3 families comfortably though. Gerry, the owner is very knowledgeable of the area and was able to make many recommendations from restaurants to golfing to recreational activities to fishing charters for our stay as well as giving detailed directions to the cabin.We were able to communicate easily with him at any time from the start.Checking in at 4pm was very smooth with the key code provided for the Nest door knob.The cabin is about 30 minutes from the nearest Walmart and about 20 mins from Food Lion grocery store where we were able to grab last minute groceries on the way in or on our way back from our day’s adventures.The cabin was incredibly clean as I am particular about that, and everything in the cabin from furniture to appliances have been well kept so it felt like everything was new. Gerry and Bridget had two large cases of bottled water waiting for us which was a nice touch. The common spaces provided plenty of sitting room with an open concept for both of our families. The bed rooms were much larger than they appeared in the listing photos. The two rooms upstairs not only have the two beds shown in the listing, but there is also a futon in one and a twin in the other which provides even more room to sleep. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.There are nice, dark, adjustable shades on the windows that keep the bedrooms dark if you choose to sleep in. There were several extra blankets provided that we were able to make use of. We had plenty of bath towels and wash cloths for our week long stay. We brought extra toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags which came in handy through the week but the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook and eat with. There were 2 single kayaks provided, however my 7yr old and I were able to comfortably share the larger. (Bring your own life jackets though.)Being able to walk right down to the dock in the back yard and launch was incredible! There are two tables on the beautiful wrap around porch which were a perfect place for coffee, a glass of wine, and dinner.The WiFi and service was a little spotty, but being in a quiet, more remote location made up for it. We really loved The Powder Mill Lodge and would highly recommend!

We had 10 people, 3 generations though all adults. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. Loved using the kayaks and the water was so calm by the house it made it easy to explore by kayak. The view is one of the best on the lake. Would definitely love to return to this house.

We had some family and friends stay here for a lake weekend girl’s trip and it was perfect! Gerhardt made it so special by a personalized phone inquiry and many follow up emails and texts. He was extremely transparent, thorough, kind and knowledgeable! The house and host exceeded our highest expectations! The house is gorgeous, clean and tucked into a little cove with a private dock! They had everything we needed for our stay and more! If you’re planning on visiting Norris Lake, you must stay here! We will be coming back and recommending this property to our friends and family!
