Great location in the center of town. The apartment was spacious and charming.

We feel so fortunate that we had the opportunity to stay in this historic place. I was a little leery being right on the Piazza Grande, but it was great. The room was huge. We got this old key to open the old woo door (there is a modern secure door as well). The amenities were all modern, the kitchen appointed for some cooking with plenty of flatware and dishware. The people were just great. Very welcoming and friendly. Wine was amazing as well! I’m so glad we stayed.

The residenze exceeded our expectations. The large unit with 20' ceilings was palatial. You were in an impressive historic room , but had all modern amenities you could want. The place was also extremely well equipped and stocked with supplies. The location was excellent, right on the main square surrounded by other historic residences. The town itself was magical with breathtaking views of the countryside and seeped in local culture and cuisine. You need to walk a short way to the restaurant providing the breakfast, but the views make it worthwhile

The bed was two singles pushed together. It was not the most comfortable, nor were the pillows. Lots of up and down walking

It is not often that one gets to stay in a Palazzo, on the main piazza , in a centuries old building with modern amenities, but that is exactly what we found here. Our host could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Everything about our stay was excellent. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that right below our room was a sensational wine cellar complete with large casks and wine tasting! I can't say enough about how great our visit was. We will definitely return in the future to stay again.

Beautiful and unique apartment—a large room with high, vaulted ceilings, furnished as pictured, on the ground floor of the Contucci palazzo. It’s fun to look out on the piazza, which is lively during the day, but quiet at night. It has pots and dishes, but you’ll most likely eat out in Montepulciano. We very much enjoyed our stay. Very quiet at night and centrally located. Also, very good wine, naturally. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful and kind. We were walking from hill town to hill town, and I forgot something in our previous B&B. They called to check on it and even offered to drive us back to get it. I cannot say enough about their kindness.

A stunning room/apartment overlooking the main piazza with the contucci wine cellars next door. Our hostess Elisabetta was welcoming and helpful and we had a simply lovely time in Montepulciano.
