Our 2 bedroom apartment was fabulous. More spacious and better looking than the photos. We also had a massive terrace and it all presents very well. 5 stars on that. It's in a very central spot in Oberwesel and we loved staying here.

The spa bath looked great until we turned it on and black stuff went everywhere in the water. It needs a good clean. Check in was more complicated to arrange than it should have been but everyone was very friendly. Car parking is a bit of a walk but we did expect this.

We stayed in the large loft apartment which had two bedrooms, a very nice living room /dining room, a reasonably-sized kitchen and a bathroom. We were met by a friend of the owner who lived nearby, in order to get the keys. The property is located in the lovely historical Old Town of Oberwesel. Great points: location! location! location!

The bathroom. It was awful. No matter how long I opened the bathroom window, the smell simply wouldn't go away! The shower door wouldn't close properly so water leaked onto the floor, and the shower facility had mould on the walls, so that the bathroom always stank! There were signs on the bathroom door requesting that the bathroom door be kept shut, so the owners must have been aware! We were also disappointed by the fact that even though we had booked the apartment with a washing machine, not only was there no washing machine in our apartment, the person who gave us the key didn't know where it was, and it took a few days for the owner to organise the use of another washing machine, in another part of the building! Luckily, we were staying 5 days, but if we hadn't, it really would have messed up our plans! It's such a shame because the owner was away, and even though he really did his best to come up with a solution as quickly as possible, and the property is really nice, the apartment was simply let down by a shoddy bathroom, reflected in the lower than expected price!

Check-in was smooth, the staff is very friendly; the apartment is very spacious, kitchen is well-equipped, washing machine is also available, which is pretty nice especially for family travellers.

The bathroom is a bit old.

Very spacious location for a couple on a quiet street. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all required utensils/dishware/pots/pans to prepare meals. Pleasantly surprised with extras provided (ie Netflix and even a piano in the ground apartment!). Housekeeper was extremely friendly and helpful; quick responses and flexible. Excellent bakery just a couple of minutes walk for morning bread, treats and coffee...open even on Sundays from 7-10am. 10 min walk to local grocery stores. Access to bike path along The Rhine was just across the road with other wonderful towns and castles to explore nearby. Outstanding stay all-round for exercise, exploring, restaurants and sound sleeping. Even though check in cannot occur until 6pm (until 9pm), price was extremely reasonable especially considering it was a full apartment.
