This accommodation is gorgeous! One of the best stays of our trip. Can't wait to come back as soon as possible :)

We felt so welcome, it's the opposite of a big hotel chain. Every detail is taken care of nicely.

Beautiful, central location with everything you need. The room was beautifully furnished and clean, facing the main two squares. the breakfast was delicious and the hostess was extremely kind and helpful !

Nothing, everything was fine.

In the middle of the town opposite the main market place. Great atmosphere. The bedroom was enormous. There was not only a shower but also a bath tub. Lots of space everywhere. Very nice breakfast in a very scenic breakfast room.

I think not all of the sockets had power. There are plenty of lights in the room but it was confusing how to switch on the right one. Something to note, but not to complain about, be aware that some rooms can be in the 3rd or 4th floor and there is no lift.

Lovely location and beautiful spacious room

Breakfast was fantastic! I drove my own car and the hostess was kind enough to help me find parking despite being very busy when I arrived. The room was very large.

Some folks may not like the stairs, I think it was on the 3rd floor (US), 2nd floor (EU), In order to park close, must be in a ZTL area. Hostess is able to provide parking pass, however, so be sure to ask for one.

Everything was good

The room was large and beautiful, the bathroom huge. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back.

The breakfast could have been richer and with more local products

These are not apartments: these are royal suites! Wide rooms with luxury furniture, a bathroom so large I never saw the equivalent (although I was in room 2 which, I was told, has the larger one. In the included snapshot you see part of it, in the other part there is the water closet, a shower and a large window). Mantova is a very small place, with a lot of history and some squares and houses that look so lovely that seem to be drawn by a romantic painter. Well, this Casa Margherita is right in the middle of it, directly in the heart of the old city. Extremely comfortable and very recommendable. The staff is super friendly. They also helped me paying the parking ticket for my car in advance (5 euros for two days).

This is not an issue, but it is a fact: Casa Margherita has not so many rooms (I think three overall). Do not expect a breakfast with the variety of food you could find in a big hotel with hundreds of guests. The landlady will make her best to meet your needs (also some very good fresh things from the local bakery are freely available). If you need something special ask her.

We loved stepping out of the hotel and stand right in the centre of Mantua on the piazza with many cafes, restaurants and shops. The hotel helped us with a parking ticket and gave us dinner tips. A plus is also the aircondition in the room. Corona Update: Due to Corona the hotel currently cannot offer breakfast at the hotel directly (even though they have a very pretty small dining room) but we got a voucher to get breakfast at one of their partner restaurants just in front of the building where we got a coffee and an amazing brioche.

Check-out at 10 was a bit early, other than that there's nothing to criticize.
