Bienvenue à Croft Cove sur le lac Lamoka! Ce confortable 3 chambres, 2 salles de bain maison peut accueillir 8 personnes et est juste la bonne taille pour cette semaine ou un week-end parfait sur le lac.
Cette maison a une riche histoire familiale depuis plusieurs générations et a été rénovée pour devenir une maison de lac moderne et confortable. Situé le long d'une route de lac décontractée et dans un petit quartier au bord d'un lac, cet endroit est exactement ce à quoi vous penseriez quand vous imaginez une communauté au bord du lac.
La maison a une grande terrasse nouvellement construite qui s’enroule autour de la maison et surplombe le lac. Depuis l'entrée principale située sur le côté de la maison, vous entrez dans le grand salon doté de fenêtres donnant sur le lac, de canapés confortables et de nombreux espaces pour jouer à des jeux ou regarder la télévision.
La cuisine et la salle à manger sont nichées derrière le salon et la cuisine est entièrement équipée avec batterie de cuisine, vaisselle, appareils ménagers, etc. La cuisine a le petit coin café le plus mignon où vous pouvez préparer vos favoris. La salle à manger fait partie de la cuisine et a des portes coulissantes sur le pont où vous pourrez prendre vos repas en plein air à la table à manger en plein air ou faire griller votre viande préférée sur le gril à gaz. La plate-forme a un coin salon aussi et est cet endroit parfait pour cette tasse de café.
Il y a une salle de bain complète à l'étage principal, juste à côté de la cuisine avec une baignoire / douche.
À l'étage supérieur, vous trouverez l'immense suite principale. On ne rigole pas quand on dit massif. Cette chambre a un plafond cathédrale, de grands placards, d’énormes fenêtres donnant sur le lac, un petit coin bureau, un futon et un lit king size. Ce sera la chambre de choix pour les invités! Il y a une grande salle de bain principale attachée à la suite, avec une grande douche à l'italienne et un double lavabo. La suite principale dispose également de son propre balcon avec un ensemble de portes-fenêtres qui s’ouvrent sur le balcon ... l’endroit choisi pour bronzer ou observer les étoiles après le coucher du soleil.
Chambre 2 a un lit complet avec un lit gigogne et est juste à l'extérieur du couloir de la suite principale. La chambre 3 est située à côté de la chambre 2 (en haut des escaliers) et dispose d'un lit king size.

We had never been to the Finger Lakes before, but because of this home, we will be certain to visit again in the future. Our only “real” issue was the smoke detector going off at random times; once late at night, and once early in the morning. However, the communication during these occurrences was spectacular. We are extremely grateful for the hospitality.

Our blended family had a great time in this lovely lake cabin! Plenty of room for all 7 of us, with lots to do in the surrounding areas. The hosts clearly care a lot about this property, everything was clean and well maintained. They provided many ideas for nearby attractions (including wineries, of course). We would absolutely visit again!

The original plan for this trip was to see Niagara Falls, but I saw some photos a friend took at Watkins Glen, and decided I had to go there too 😊 Croft Cove was a great location! Near to Watkins Glen and Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk Falls SP, Taughannock Falls SP, and all the Ithaca waterfalls. All were beautiful as were the sunsets over Lamoka Lake after we returned from our adventures each evening. Everyone needs to visit Glen Dairy Barn for ice cream! Our only complaint is we wish we had stayed an extra day just to chill at the lake!

Just about everything about the property is as advertised, but there were a few things that could use replacement/fixing/updating. On the excellent front - it’s a very comfortable home and the views/location are astounding. We had a great time lounging, playing games, and enjoying the views. The kitchen is also well-stocked, and had everything we needed.
On the not-so-good side, I’d start with the water. Be prepared for a strong metallic odor. Not uncommon for well water, but it’s not something that’s very clear upfront. It would be great if the bottled water dispenser had a bottle provided. The couch in the living room also needs replacing. It sinks significantly when you sit on it and seems to have a broken support from what I can tell. The king bed in the second bedroom is also turned the wrong way so that it will fit in the room. It makes it difficult to sleep on it for someone that’s six feet or taller, as your feet hang off of the end. Another downside of the iron in the water is that the shower in the master suite just doesn’t put out enough pressure. The shower heads could use a good soaking in a CLR solution, as maybe half of the holes were clogged and wouldn’t put out water. Lastly, don’t rely on the futon in the master suite for an additional bed unless you move the cushion to the floor. It will tip over if you pull it out and try to sleep on it (we tried to put our teenager on it and had to move it to the floor).
Ultimately, this would be the perfect vacation home if a few things were updated and the situation with the water was made clearer upfront.

This house had enough space for 6 of us to enjoy. The lake views, fire pit by the water, and proximity to local fun were just what we were looking for.

the house is nice. The master bedroom and bath is beautiful, with a fantastic view of the lake. We had bad weather, a lot of rain. We like to swim and spend most of our time in the water on this annual girls' vacation. We weren't able to do that here because of the weather. Also, there is a lot of green growth at the waters' edge, which made the swimming a little creepy. Still we enjoyed our time together in this house.

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at Croft Cove and we hope it’s not our last. We’ve decided it’s one of our favorite places to stay. Swimming, hiking, fishing, boating, wineries, breweries and campfires filled our week with memories we will never forget. Linger Hospitality is top notch!!

This home was great right on the lake and a beautiful house, I was very glad we went with this house because during our stay we had 3 rainy days. This made for a great time even indoors.
On our nice days, we went swimming, taught our son how to fish, and grilled on the deck it was a perfect spot for a family.
The swimming is great, easy concrete steps into the water and it is about 4 feet deep at the end of the dock, after that it was over my head at 6'3" in no time. So it was a very gentle slope into the deep water and a perfect spot by the steps for young children learning how to swim to practice.
Don't hesitate to spend time at croft it is amazing.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our long weekend stay. The house was comfortable and cozy with beautiful views of the lake. We especially appreciated the location, as it was a short drive to Watkins Glen and the Ithaca area.

We had a wonderful time visiting the finger lakes with our 2 young boys and close friends and their young kids. The view off the deck was beautiful, house was clean, host was helpful, and check in/out was a breeze. We wish there was a paddle board/kayak so we could get out on the water but we had so much fun grilling and fishing off the dock. Overall a wonderful stay and can’t wait to go back!

Casual lake trip with friends

The big picture windows allow you to view a sunset over the water even when it's still too chilly to sit outside. It was exactly as advertised and allowed three friends to completely relax and laugh a lot. The smaller lake proved to have a homey feel while being situated equally between the bigger lakes Seneca and Keuka to explore, making it an ideal location. Our party of guests are eager to return to explore more of the FInger Lakes, to kayak around Lamoka in the summer, and view the leaves in the fall!

Our party of guests are eager to return to explore more of the FInger Lakes, to kayak around Lamoka in the summer, and view the leaves in the fall!

A few minor recommendations: Additional curtains in master bedroom & screens on the French doors would be great. Some of the other screens need some repairs also. Clorox tablets would work well on the hard water stains in the bathrooms. However, this isn't meant to be critical. We appreciate the owner's sharing their home with us and would definitely return.

Lots of nearby hiking too. We had one clear night, and spent it stargazing in the backyard- with the added bonus of hearing a great horned owl across the lake!
