Faites de Turtle’s Nest le lieu de nidification de vos vacances en famille! Ce bungalow de style traditionnel en bord de mer propose deux niveaux avec des escaliers intérieurs pour le confort de votre famille. Le niveau principal à l'étage vous accueille avec les tons de bois chaleureux des murs en pin noueux et le charme rustique d'antan. Les vues sur l'océan Atlantique peuvent être vues depuis le salon et la salle à manger ainsi que les deux chambres en bord de mer à ce niveau. La zone de l'appartement au rez-de-chaussée offre un coin salon et salle à manger ainsi qu'une kitchenette et deux chambres, qui font de ce niveau idéal pour une famille supplémentaire ou les jeunes adultes de votre groupe. Le porche «chaise berçante» couvert côté océan est l'endroit idéal pour admirer les vues et les brises d'air salin de l'ombre tandis que les espaces de pont ouverts supplémentaires sont parfaits pour profiter des rayons du soleil. Tout le charme des années 50 et à quelques pas du centre-ville de Surf City.

Enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed here before but love it so much we wanted to stay here again. It is the perfect place for a family on a budget. Close enough to shopping that the teenagers were happy. On the beach with a sun deck so momma was happy. The owner is very responsive and the house was spotless! Best vacation and our number one choice for a Topsail Island vacation.

Awesome location within walking distance of pier and Daddy Macs (our favorite lunch/dinner spot). Marriage proposal in our group so extra special. We will be back!

We booked this house along with two other homes for a family reunion. My family of 5 and my sister’s family of 5 stayed in this property. Below are the highlights and lowlights of the week:
Highlights:
* There was plenty of sleeping room and the teens enjoyed having their separate space downstairs.
* The deck overlooking the water was AMAZING was a perfect alternate for the sand.
* The kitchen was well stocked.
* The house interior was rustic/dated but was cozy & as listed.
* Linen rentals were easy and grocery delivery is the way to go!
* Weather was perfect and we were able to get out to the beach everyday!
Lowlights:
* The A/C had a hard time keeping up. The host indicated that the system had just been serviced, but some days it was up to 76 inside.
* We were assessed a $100 fee after checkout with a note suggesting that we had a “wedding” on the property. (Not at all the case). The host offered to share pictures of the evidence, which I requested to see. The photo showed “at least 16 people” on the OUTSIDE deck, which was my extended family gathering for pictures. The owners had someone (perhaps the owner themselves) secretly taking pictures of us on the deck. Had we known this wasn’t allowed, we would have decided on a different location.
* Beware that your vacay maybe being watched and the max occupancy is 10 regardless of whether you’re inside or out and applies to sleepers and non-sleepers.

This place was perfect for our family of 7. Teenagers lived it up in the basement apartment. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The large deck was the perfect place for relaxing and the covered porch was a great option to get out of the sun. Short walk to the pier which we took advantage of several times. Would definitely stay again!

Started out with some "hiccups", but owner was very attentive and quick to respond/resolve. Great communication. House was clean and location is amazing! We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful time there and would definitely recommend this home!

Great location. Great deck. Older home, but photos accurately show home. There were issues with the air conditioning during our stay, but I think the owners addressed it immediately before next renters. Definitely would stay here again.

Had a great stay. Wish there were beach chairs/ umbrellas and linens supplied, but we made due.
We would rent again as that deck with ocean view made it all worth it. Kitchen ( dishes and pans etc) was well stocked as far as our needs. We also had a friend bring her bbq over for us to borrow for a couple days … which helped. Great location! Easy walk to local market and restaurants. Great communication with owner.

We had a great time! The house is in an ideal location with the most beautiful views. The beach is right there! It looks exactly like the photos but even better. Very thoughtful touches throughout, from kitchen basics to beach toys. We love it and hope to make this an annual stay! Thank you, it is a wonderful home and we appreciate you sharing it with us!

The house was perfect for us. Not fancy, but had everything we needed and most importantly directly on the beach. The porch was fantastic to watch the waves. Comfortable living room and beds. Kitchen had anything you could need.

As mentioned in the previous reviews, the location is just steps away from the beach and is the selling point. Property is a bit dated but we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location
Deck overlooking the beach and just a few steps down to the beach. 1/5 mile to the pier and center of surf city. Also quick trip across the bridge for groceries, etc.

Great location and ON the beach
Literally on a dune with three steps to the ocean. Back deck is amazing with no long walkway to the beach like other properties. House itself is from 1950, so don’t expect a modern look and appliances. For us that didn’t matter and we liked the rustic beach house feel. Separate apartment downstairs is nice for anyone in the group that needs their own space. Huge front yard for parking, etc. Excellent location that is really close to downtown Surf City. We picked up donuts and bagels 3 blocks away each morning. Only small negative was a lot of random storage in the basement area that is a tad messy and not stored away cleanly (had to pull my 2 year old off the mower a few times). Would definitely stay again just for the back deck and location.

This is great house for friends and family! It is older and outdated, but everything works! Beds were comfy, house was clean. It provided everything we needed for a family of 8 seasoned beach adults and two babies. The top outdoor deck was great for corn hole, table games, etc. Great location if you aren't looking for a high-end, renovated stay.

Atwell Family Trip
The Turtles Nest combines historical, cozy style with family-friendly amenities. There is plenty of space in the house, and given the current pandemic conditions, it was easy to stay safely distanced from other visitors on the beach. Easy access to the beach and a beautiful deck view created delightful family memories.

Wonderful Oceanfront Experience
The Turtles Nest provided us with the opportunity to be literally steps from the sand. With an amazing front deck overlooking the ocean, we experienced shooting stars, rainbows and dolphins! We didn’t even take a cooler to the beach because we were so close. The house is wonderfully equipped with most of everything you would need. We had great, easy correspondence with the owner, and loved the nostalgic atmosphere the house blessed us with. Our family would definitely stay again.

Excellent beach vacation spot
Loved our stay at Turtle’s Nest! Bigger than we needed, but our teenage son loved having the basement apartment to himself. Location was great- right on the beach, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck on the days the beach was more crowded. Plenty of kitchen wares to use which was especially helpful to us as we wanted to avoid restaurants Easy to communicate with owner through this app.
