Beautiful quiet vacation close to trails and close to town - We defiantly will be returning to Beaufort and staying in the same location.

Very inviting with a lot of extras like kayaks, bicycles, grill, fire pit, and a great dock. Handy to stores, and many of Beaufort attractions.

I can't imagine a better spot for anchoring a visit to Beaufort. The apartment is in a quiet location with views of Battery Creek from the balcony and covered dock. There are kayaks to use and bikes, with the Spanish Moss Trail being just adjacent. The apartment is thoughtfully furnished. We would recommend this rental to anyone planning a trip to Beaufort.

We enjoyed every moment in Spartina Place and Beaufort! The town is so quaint with many waterfront restaurants, lovely shops and unique bookstores. The location of this gorgeous carriage house is like something out of a movie. We loved watching the tide move in and out and enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets from our deck overlooking the water. We had a wonderful experience in Spartina Mermaid Cottage! The water views were breathtaking with fabulous sunsets and “cotton candy” early morning reflections. The cottage is well stocked and comfortable. We can’t wait to return!

The place is beautiful and has everything you will ever need. The sunsets are fantastic and sitting on the deck having coffee in the morning is very relaxing. Close to so many things, We went to Savana Ga. on a day trip, Charleston SC also. So many walking trails to see and photograph wildlife up close and personal. We are already planning our trip for next year. Want to do Halloween next year as we are told the town does it up very nicely. Maybe the following year around Christmas to see the Mer-Claus.

Really cozy and clean place to stay. We enjoyed the view from the dock and balcony. It was so nice to be able to walk out and see the water everyday. The loft was decorated so cute and we loved putting our pin in the map to show where we were from. I appreciate all the towels and coffee. I was wishing for my robe, nice having one in the closet. Next time, we would love to use the kayaks and bikes. We really appreciated you have a pass for the beach. We enjoyed our time at Hunting Beach. We will definitely be back to stay!

Beautiful property in great location. The space was creative and charming!

The carriage house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lots of light, with a king sized bed, a nice kitchen, and an awesome shower. A lovely little porch on the second story that overlooks the water. All great, but the gem is the dock where you can sit and drink in the beauty all around. Large and comfortable. The location is excellent. 5 minutes from DT Beaufort and quick to everywhere else. Due to storms coming in we did not use the kayaks and bikes, but next time we will! Loved it and highly recommend!

A great two days to check out the property already booked my next stay for more time. fantastic property with great amenities. we basically hung out on the pier the whole time the furniture was comfortable and it was amazing down there. The kitty cat next-door was a bonus.

Amazing location. We definitely found our place to stay for our yearly visits to Beaufort. The little home has a perfect setup on the marsh with a dock with beautiful views. My wife and I enjoyed relaxing on the peaceful dock with a good book and drinks. Dinner was easy to make in a well supplied kitchen. The shower was oversized and perfect! The king bed was extremely comfortable and made for a good nights rest after spending the day at Hunting Island (included season pass was nice for saving a few $$). Overall, it has been the best place we have stayed in Beaufort over the last 5 years!!! Will definitely be back!!

My husband and I visited here on own honeymoon. We fell in LOVE with it! The location was great. Owners were super nice and helpful. We had so much fun here. We have decided that will be our new bedroom spot! I can’t think of one bad thing to say! It was perfect.

Beautiful, well maintained and furnished property. Lots of activities nearby to enjoy, including The Spanish Moss Trail which is only steps away. Highly recommend and looking forward to our Spartina Place stay.

Great place with all needed for fun activities (kayak, paddle board, bikes). Clean and tidy!

Our third trip to the mermaid and it never disappoints, everything we need and more. So relaxing out on the pier or inside. Don’t forget to say hi to the kitty who no doubt will come to say hi to you.

We loved the Mermaid Cottage. Its waterfront location, proximity to the Spanish Moss Trail, and just a few minutes away from downtown Beaufort are all great reasons to stay here. The house was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Check in was a breeze. Highly recommended!

We arrived at 4:15 and got in with no problems. We thought the place was very clean and in great shape. The refrigerator was very nice and BIG. I just wished there was a curtain on the bathroom window as I felt uncomfortable in there at night in the shower with no curtain. Also the pillows were not great and water pressure was not the best. Would have been nice if we didn't have CHORES to do before we left as we PAID a cleaning fee and another FEE to stay there. That should NOT be our responsibility but the owners. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the bikes, paddleboards, and kayaks were a PLUS. Beautiful area. Enjoyed the sunsets and sunrise on the dock! Comfortable furniture on the dock too, better than in the house!

This place is very nice and comfortable! Keep in mind the tide changes when making plans though.

Mermaid Cottage was beyond beautiful and was everything you could need and want in a rental. The owners were incredibly thoughtful and helpful during our stay. The rental was stocked with all amenities. We loved biking on the nearby Spanish Moss Trail and lounging on the dock. We utilized the Hunting Island pass several days too. This place was a little slice of heaven and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we did not want to leave!!

This was our third time staying here and we loved it as always! Very comfortable stay with all you need in one place! The hosts are always friendly and helpful. The marsh view is the best! We will be back.
