Hands down the best place I have ever stayed! We rented this beautiful place for my daughter's wedding and honestly, we did not want to leave! I will definitely be returning! We are now thinking of having a family reunion there or at their other rental which is just up the road and a little bit bigger (not that it needs to be any bigger). The service was absolutely amazing!

The host was so accommodating. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for a group of 16. It was clean, well located, and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!

This was the most absolutely best stay! We had 3 families for a week of skiing and it couldn't have been better. The kitchen was stocked, the garage had snow toys, the kids had a blast making sled runs in the backyard, the fireplace was so cozy. We had shuffle board and pool competitions, played card and board games (also provided). We will be back!

What a dream home! I’m so grateful I chose this home to rent for the weekend. It was absolutely the BEST home we have ever rented. The host Deborah was kind and welcoming. She gave us an overview of the home and made us feel very welcome. The house was very clean, and absolutely stunning. It was fully stocked with more than any home we have rented. Photos do not do justice! Our family had the absolute best weekend and can not wait to come back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 10/10 experience.

I can't say enough good about the home and the hospitality shown to my family during our stay at Mountain Haven. This trip was a celebration of my granddaughter's high school graduation. To our surprise Deborah had put out graduation decorations to welcome us. There was always a quick response to any questions or concerns we had about the house or the the Lake Tahoe area. Thanks to our hosts our stay at Mountain Haven will be a trip we'll always remember fondly.

Very personal experience from moment of arrival to departure. Close access to to Tahoe Lake and amenities in Reno. Everything that you want to do with 30 minutes of the property. Overall property was extremely clean and well taken care of. Would definitely stay at this property again.

We had the best time at the Mountain Haven for Fathers Day weekend! So much space in this house! Everything you could ever need, fully stocked, wonderfully planned out for visitors. We enjoyed the house and all its offerings, quiet neighborhood, beautiful scenery and fantastic host!

Mountain Haven did not disappoint. Our host Deborah was welcoming and accommodating and she had the house stocked with everything you would need and then some for a vacation rental.
We hosted my sons smaller wedding party consisting of grooms men, bridesmaids and few additional family members here at the house in complete comfort and convenience being just 3 minutes from the venue. The two distinctive “wings” upstairs allowed us to have a bridal side with plenty of natural light for the hair and makeup professionals and the grooms side had fun rec area with the pool table and plenty of space to relax before getting suited up. Without seeing the bride before she walked down the aisle! I highly recommend Mountain Haven and will definitely keep it in mind for future gatherings. Thank you Deborah for making our special event even better with your beautiful home and exceptional attention to detail with a relaxed Nevada vibe!

Our Big Armenian family cannot thank the landlords enough for their amazing generosity. We felt at home from the very beginning as your property is so well equipped, very clean, organized, well set up and perfect for any size family. All 18 of us absolutely loved the place and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. The hot tub was the icing on the cupcake! Very spacious, clean and amazingly comfortable. White Christmas in the Mountains
We enjoyed a snowy Christmas on Mt. Rose. The hosts went above and beyond to provide assistance in arrival and departure during the "blizzard of '21". They made sure our holiday was warm and bright. Will definitely rent from them again!!

We absolutely LOVE this hour, our stay and the host. We come back every year for a small family reunion (10 of us). It is a great location for skiing and a perfect home for family celebrations with all our kids. The house has absolutely everything you can think of. If you are looking for a large home, perfect location, wonderful amenities and an overall AMAZING experience, this is the house for you!!!

Beautiful house
This house was perfect for our little getaway! Owner was extremely nice and gave us a tour of the property. She gave us updates of all the skiing resorts of what’s open.
The house was super clean and spacious. There were beds for all of us and plenty of room for our game night. Would definitely stay here again.

Great and Responsive Hosts
My family had fun sharing Thanksgiving memories in this lovely house. We all cooked in the spacious, well stocked kitchen and found that we could have left some cooking supplies we brought from home. The game room was a big hit for us-the teenagers had lots of fun with the pool table and the shuffleboard, as well as the adults. We were hoping for snow and didn't get any while we were there but the gang was able to find a place that still had enough snow left for sledding. The house has plenty of sleds! We went to the lake to use the kayaks and life jackets that they provide but alas it was too windy that day. Anyway, a really nice trip. The hosts are very responsive to any requests.
The only negatives were that the kids couldn't bring their dogs to an otherwise dog friendly Lake Tahoe but the rental instructions made it clear from the beginning. Another thing I would have liked was a schematic of the rental as the upstairs sleeping areas are a little odd with some lack of privacy for some. It worked out ok-but it would have been nice to be able to plan the sleeping arrangements beforehand.
All in all, a nice place with nice hosts!

WE RENTED THIS PROPERTY TO HOST OUR WEDDING RECEPTION AT AS WELL AS HOUSE ALL OF OUR FAMILY. THIS HOME IS COMPLETLY EQUIPPED WITH ALL THE SUPPLIES NEEDED TO HOST PARTIES, WEDDINGS, AND WHATEVER YOU NEED! OUR ENTIRE FAMILY FELT VERY COMFORTABLE THE ENTIRE STAY. Great Home for a Party!
I rented this home for me, my fiancé, and 11 other guests for our wedding. The home is just a couple minutes from the wedding ceremony venue at Tannenbaum Event center. This was perfect for timing the day of the wedding; we were all close to the venue for getting there and getting home at night. It was great for both the bride and groom to get ready here. We were separated; bride downstairs, men upstairs.
We were able to take photos at the house before the wedding inside and out. The fireplace is so pretty. The trees outside made for nice lighting. The men enjoyed the pool room upstairs. We had fun with the instruments and karaoke machine!
The items I would like to mention that are not so great:
1. we had issues with the water temperature the whole weekend. My guests could not get anything better than an ice cold shower.
2. There are 2 rooms downstairs, a nice master and a small room near the front door. The rest of the "private" beds are upstairs in one corner of the home. There are 2 private rooms there, and an adjoining room with 2 queen beds. Then the last room "bunk room" is on the other side of up-stairs.
If you are looking to use this house for a large gathering, then make sure you have some people who are well acquainted with each other who will be staying in the upstairs quarters.
My absolute favorite part of my stay was the hot tub!!! So great!

My Rose Mountain Beauty!
Deborah was great, very responsive, so accommodating, and helped us coordinate our stay perfectly! She did a really nice job updating the house with perfectly luxurious contemporary yet rustic furnishings! The house had all the amenities and extra cooking supplies to make our trip extra easy! From olive oil, Nespresso pods, to ziplock bags, fluffy soft towels and quality soap in all bathrooms! We even had a lovely alfresco dinner outside with perfect weather surrounded by the mountains and pine cones! No bugs in sight! I would say the upstairs living-room set up like a master bedroom, although it was my favorite, and would be perfect if you have small children, would not be so private if you had friends walking through to get to the other 2 bedrooms. We were 3 couples so the house was perfectly for us. We had a blast and can’t wait to come back this winter to try out Mt Rose Ski area! - Sarah & Graham

Fantastic property
We had been planning a family gathering for months around my niece's baby shower. However, with the pandemic, had trouble booking a venue for the actual event. We found Mountain Haven and it solved all the challenges. Huge home that is well spread out, yet offers privacy so you are not on top of each other. Outside the home offered a spot for our gathering with great social distancing. Deborah and Tom were fantastic and helped with each of our questions/needs!

Spectacular Stay!
First off, this place exceeds all expectations. The photos do not do this home justice. We stayed here for my wedding, which was 3 minutes away and was the perfect place for everyone to stay at. Everyone had their own bed and the kitchen had ample seating for everyone. Deborah was the perfect host: meeting us at the property to show us around and even mailing us a card we left behind! We will gladly visit again!!! The kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked, extra blankets and pillows. They thought of everything! Do not think twice about this home, it’s everything you could want in a vacation home.

Fabulous home!
The home was spectacular and huge. For a family of 8 there was more than enough space to roam around. The game room was awesome and our kids had a blast playing pool and shuffle board. The home was well stocked with supplies and amenities.
The owner Deborah was very attentive to our needs and great in communicating whenever we had questions. She and her husband went out of their way to bring us kayaks as well. It's too bad we couldn't get the chance to use them since the Sheriffs Dept and Highway Patrol closed off/limited the number of cars to Sand Harbor that Sunday morning, even after waking up early to be in line by 7am.
We had the greatest time relaxing inside and outside (hot tub) and enjoying the natural beauty that surrounded the home in the mountains, Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home Deborah! We hope to return to Reno in the near future and stay at your home once again.
Our only suggestion would is to possibly add blinds or curtains in restrooms and bedrooms for a bit more privacy especially since there were hikers/adventurers at 6am during our stay.

Best Home We’ve Stayed In Yet
In all the years of going on ski trips in Tahoe, this was by far the best house we have ever stayed in. Great location near Mount Rose ski resort, only minutes away. The home was gigantic with plenty of play areas for all of the kids and our 6 families. The owners thought of every detail in the house, from an Insta pot in the kitchen to plenty of boardgames for the kids. We all agreed that the bar was set very high with this house. We hope to come enjoy it again next year.

Vacation home
I was very pleased with this home. The exterior was nice and clean. The interior was also clean to the touch. I don’t think I found any patches in the house that was dusty, which showed me how well kept this home has been. Words can’t describe how cozy this place was until you see it for yourself.
This house has everything you need; hot tub, pool table, shuffle board (could use more games), plenty of beds for a large group, laundry machines, plenty of dinner ware, tupperware to store food while you’re there, etc.
What also made my visit so much better was the communication between the owner and I. She was very kind and responsive to my questions and concerns. She really made sure my family and I were comfortable and taken care of. I would definitely stay at this place again in the future.

Beautiful property!
This was our first time renting a property. The hostess made the whole process easy for us. The property was beautiful inside and out. We as a family have not been able to travel as a whole due to our business. So this being our first time getting away with our three children, there spouses and 7 grandchildren was very special to my husband and I. You all made it worth it! The home was beautiful! There was every needed household item needed there. We cooked, played games. There was sledding items for the grandkids. They even brought us a bbq so we could bbq on Super Bowl Sunday. They went above and beyond for us! We will definitely be renting from them again! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Teen perspective
Stayed from 12/24 to 12/30
Tahoe was a very fun experience for the fact that we had such a good house. The house was not only large, but it also had a bunch of really cool things such as a game room and a large backyard where you could sled. The house also had a lot of rooms where a lot of families could stay and no family had to sleep on a couch. One of the best things about those rooms is most of them had a TV in there which had Netflix and Disney+ on them. One thing I liked the most about the house is the hot tub they had outside. After spending a long day of sledding the hot tub is a great way to chill off and talk to your friends. The house also did include some board games which was great because it had games for all different ages meaning they had kids games and games for older ages. When I first saw the house I thought "is that 2 different houses right next to each other?" but going there I saw that it was one house and my jaw dropped. Overall I would rate the experience a 9.5/10 and the house a 10/10 because it is by far the biggest house i've ever been in (Living space and lot.)

Tahoe Hidden Gem
Me and all my family stayed at this property over Thanksgiving and all I can say is that it far exceed all expectations. They had literally everything to accommodate my family from the kitchen being fully stocked, plenty of big comfortable beds to sleep on, a nice Jacuzzi spa, and most of all-- the owners were so welcoming and responsive. Definitely going to stay here again! It's a gem!!!

Great place to stay, we even planned to extend the stay
I don't know where to start, every minute of our stay in this house gave us a good experience and set the expectation bar high if plan to go to any other location. Group of 6 families with kids aging from 4 to 17 enjoyed thoroughly only because of the amenities this house has. Kids below 10 enjoyed karaoke, board games and pre-teens & teens enjoyed playing Billards and Shuffleboard tables. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary utensils and pantry is well stocked with basic needs. We forgot to take our cake baking utensils and ingredients and felt really surprised to see them available in the house. Kids enjoyed eating homemade cake on Christmas day and this made us feel happy.
All the rooms with a good amount of linens and a 2 washer and driers in the property helped us to have a clean and fresh cloth during the stay.
When it comes to outdoor activities, you don't need to go to any other location and waiting in a line for your turn for tubing and sledding. The outdoor hills have nice slopes filled with snow. The landlord's well thought on providing almost 10 slides and a tube made our kids enjoy their own without taking turns. After all the outdoor fun, kids had fun relaxing in the hot tub.
In the end, after a 5-day stay, kids don't want to leave the house and even we thought of considering to extend the stay. But the next guests already booked the house to enjoy the way we enjoyed during our stay. We definitely consider renting it again when we plan to visit Reno-Tahoe during the summer break.
