Il y a une personne qui a influencé le mien et l'amour de Suzy pour les montagnes de Géorgie du Nord, la célèbre rivière Toccoa et la pêche sur la rivière Toccoa. C'était mon ami de toujours Kenny! Kenny et moi avons souvent parlé de notre rêve. Nous voulions construire et partager une cabane sur la rivière dans les montagnes de Géorgie du Nord! Donc, nous avons choisi un beau terrain et, avec une construction excitante, nous avons commencé à faire des plans. Nous avions hâte de percer le sol dans notre cabine de rêve. Puis la tragédie a frappé! Kenny a reçu un diagnostic de SLA agressive à l'automne 2017. Donc, un changement de plans! Nous rendrions la cabine accessible en fauteuil roulant. Au moins, Kenny pouvait rouler sur le pont et me regarder pêcher même s'il n'était pas capable de pêcher lui-même! Malheureusement, Kenny est décédé en avril 2018. Il n'a pas vécu pour voir notre rêve se réaliser, mais Suzy et moi avons poursuivi le mien et le rêve de Kenny d'une cabane dans les montagnes de Géorgie du Nord au nom de Kenny. This was a wonderful spacious cabin with a good blend of modern and rustic feel. The property is a clear highlight with a big yard on the river, one neighbor to the side and across the street but overall fairly private. It is right next to a state highway but with minimal traffic so it wasn’t a bother.
We fished and caught a couple rainbow trout as well as plenty of creek chubs. The river itself is nice but there is some debris buildup and possible beaver nesting. Water itself doesn’t get more than about 4-5 feet by the property but overall good stretch of river to be by.
The cabin is very spacious and fit 6 guests very well. The appliances and light fixtures are modern and easy to use. Every room was clean and appealing. The bedrooms were a bit barren and the beds a bit stiff. Bathrooms were big and clean but lacking in water pressure .
The kitchen could use some things, there was only a single oven mitt, no salt and pepper provided incase someone was assuming it would be stocked with that.
The deck was wonderful with a great table to eat at, rocking chairs, a little fire pit area, and swing on the bottom deck. The deck however is not screened in.
As for amenities, this place had a lot to do, cards, board games, puzzles, tv, pool, fusball, darts, hot tub. However, hot tub fits 4 but water overflowed after 3 of us got in. Darts for the dart board were all broken. Pool table needed new chalk.
Overall a wonderful stay with only minor things to critique. Definitely a must stay.

Loved this cabin. So much room for our whole family. Loved the 2 master bedrooms and the beds in the masters. Loved having that great yard with the river right out the back door! Vacasa was the best rental company to vacation with. Customer service was stellar

The cabin is beautiful and super comfortable. Everything you could possibly need for cooking, entertainment, playing games inside and outside. For us, it was all about the property for fishing and enjoying the outdoors. We'll look forward to our next stay here for sure!

Beautiful cabin in beautiful location. It’s around a 30 min drive to Blue Ridge. Overall it was VERY clean but we did have a couple of things that could have been better. The main bedroom rug smelled strongly of dog when we arrived. Also, some of the blankets and throws were covered in dog hair. We have a few with allergies so we had to wash bedding the first day. The kitchen, bathrooms, etc, were all very clean though. I think these were probably just missed. We used febreeze for the smell but the rugs really need to be cleaned/replaced. The hot tub is older and kept flipping the breaker so we didn’t get to use it as much as we would have liked. Over all for a family with dogs, this would be a great place to stay. The river is beautiful and there are tons of amenities right on the property. The kitchen was very well stocked. Our GPS actually brought us to it just fine but we did follow the directions given just in case.

Enjoyed our stay and were grateful that the property allowed pets, as we had one in tow, however the cleanliness of the cabin could have been better. Upon arriving there was a strong stench of pee in one of the bedrooms upstairs - we closed that room off for the duration of our stay and avoided that room completely. The pet hair was excessive - stuck to all rugs, sofas, throw blankets, and beds. The hair even started to form tumbleweeds throughout the home.

The river is so close and beautiful. Bring food for cooking because you’re not close to many restaurants or stores. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of gathering room for your family.

My family - all 10 of us plus 2 dogs - spent Thanksgiving at Kenny’s Place and loved it! It was even nicer than the pictures! Tons of indoor and outdoor space to play. The home is out in the country but only a 40 minute drive to either Blue Ridge or Dahlonega!

We enjoyed the cabin as it met our needs perfectly for 3 couples. The location is perfect right on the creek and far enough out of town that there is peace and quiet. The cabin is in very good condition and well appointed.

Fantastic get away! Plenty of river front to tube with the kids! Lots of space, games/play area, property with fire pit and seating! Bring firewood and extra bug spray! Even though the bugs didn’t really bite, the spray kept them out of our mouths! Would definitely return! Felt very honored to be able to spend time at this beautiful oasis!

Kenny’s Place is a beautiful cabin. Our family really enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed and the River and yard are wonderful. The only negative thing I would say is that the cooking pans need to be replaced and the ceiling fans cleaned. Other than that it was perfect.

This property was fantastic. It was roughly a 25 to 30 minute drive to Blue Ridge with a beautiful view. Overall, we had so much fun at this beautiful property.

The house is beautiful and the river front it's just amazing. Very responsive crew helped wit a draining in the bathroom in few hours. Full equipped kitchen with everything you need. My only recommendation: please change the over used and abused pans and oven baking sheets, add s padded kitchen matt, and a similar kitchen's trash can in the basement close to the bar area.

We absolutely loved Kenny’s Place! the property was clean, fully equipped with all we needed and had more than enough entertainment for our stay. The beds were super cozy.
The shower in the master bedroom(with the larger bathroom) wouldn’t get hot water for some reason but that was the only issue.
The location was easy to find. Our gps stayed on the entire time but the written directions that were given were perfect as well. We definitely plan to make Kenny’s Place a location to return to in the future.

Our family loved our stay at Kenny's Place. The cabin was just as advertised in the photos and description. It was new, clean, and beautifully decorated. Check-in was a breeze. We loved the big kitchen, which was fully stocked with dishes, glasses, pots/pans, etc. The back patio was shaded and large, with plenty of places to relax. The hot tub was easy to use and clean. The bedrooms were large. Our kids enjoyed the downstairs living room area to themselves, and we appreciated the extra futons for sleeping. My son and husband spent lots of time fishing in the creek in the backyard. The only thing to note, the cabin is actually about 15/20 minutes North of the town of Suches. When I was planning our day trips, I was using Suches as the directions to everywhere. So when we got the directions to the actual cabin, it was an hour drive to Helen, not 43 minutes. Not a huge deal, but the highway is very curvy with lots of hairpin turns, which was kind of tough for our kiddo who gets carsick. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cabin. My kids are already asking to come back in the summer!

We have stayed in many vacation homes and this one has made the #1 on our list . The pictures online don't give you the amazing feeling that it does when you walk in this home . This is a safe home and location . If you need a relaxing vacation this is the place . But if you plan to cook bring your on seasoning .We had an awesome time .

8 of us (plus a 1 year old) stayed at Kenny's Place and had a fun weekend. Kenny's Place was wonderful! Plenty of space. Out in the country so weren't disturbed by traffic or a lot of noise. Plus, it was absolutely beautiful to have the Toccoa River just out the back door! There is so much to do right there on the property. The only down side was how cold it was when we went. We didn't get to enjoy all the outdoor amenities like the fire pit, hanging out on the beautiful decks, and fun in the river. The group is already talking about reserving Kenny's Place again next year, but maybe in late summer, early fall when it will be warmer. We loved it! Highly recommend.
