Our family had the best time relaxing and celebrating our mother's 60th birthday. The house was very clean and loved that the kitchen was labeled to know where everything was for cooking purposes. The pool patio area was very relaxing!! I have no complaints or negatives about this listing, it was truly a wonderful stay!

Had a wonderful stay beds were very comfortable and everything need for the stay was at the house didn’t need to leave unless you wanted too. Definitely would stay again

Place was nice, and house was clean. Felt as if I was in my own home at how comfortable we all felt. The pool was amazing! Definitely would recommend staying there! The lady who was in charge of cleaning the house was really nice and so outgoing, she made us feel comfortable right away.

this house was beyond beautiful. very spacious with comfy beds. the adults loved the pool table & everyone enjoyed the pool(the kids loved it the most lol). due to us having our activities in New Braunfels & San Antonio the location of the house was perfect & it’s a Walmart close by. the only thing that was a little problem was the noise monitor that’s in the house. the automated message/calls will call & text your phone. overall we enjoyed our stay & will definitely recommend this home.

We all thought the property was beautiful and well maintained. The only thing that we found to be a problem was the digital concierge. We couldn't get it to work.

We traveled to Schertz TX and San Antonio for a high school graduation and to see family. This house had comfy beds. It was immacuclean and very well appointed. We played games from their supply of table games; we barbecued ribs on their gas grill. The pool was lovely. It overlooked a beautiful, grassy field that had paved walkways (formerly a golf course). Easy access to I35 and about 3 miles from a brand new H-E-B grocery store. We were very happy with our stay!

The property was amazing. The amenities were a pleasant addition. There was a pool table, games, a swimming pool, and not least, was a coffee bar which thrilled the coffee drinkers in our group. Everything was sparklingly clean and there was plenty of room. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Lastly there was a little Barn swallow that nested on the porch & gave me a wonderful photo op. The host couple were helpful and pleasant to deal with. I recommend this stay to anyone!

We have done two long term (6 week) stays at this property. The home owner has made a ton of improvements from 2022 to 2023. The pool space was much improved and we love having a private heated pool. The house is fully equipped with every kitchen appliance or gadget you could think of. The location is convenient to picking up guests at the SA airport, close to my brother in New Braunfels, and easy to explore the foothills of Texas. The house is huge! It is an older home, but the owner has done everything to ensure your comfort. This would be a great property for guests attending a family wedding or reunion. Finding a home with a heated pool is not easy.

Check in was really easy. House was very clean and included everything we needed. The pool was nice and the kids loved it.

This house is perfect for a family gathering. It’s very spacious and centralized to many surrounding activities and shopping. The home is clean, well furnished, and the owners were responsive to any questions or needs. Great rental!

House was in excellent condition. Had everything we needed for a weekend stay. I only gave 4 stars to the check in process because the lock box did not have a key like instructed. I had to call the house manager to get the correct pin pad key. Also the tv volume is super low there is a sound bar but there was also instructions not to use it. So the tv was hard to hear especially with a larger group. But that was the only problem. Everything else was fantastic. The pool was very clean and big enough for all of us. The floors mats in the bathroom are not slip resistant. If they are stepped on a certain way they do move which caused one of the guest to fall and hit her head but they also provide bleach and cleaning supplies so we were able to clean up after her fall. So do be careful with that. I love that there was a washer and dryer. I got all my laundry done so I didn’t have to wash once I got home from a vacation. I would stay here again and recommend to friends. The Thompson’s were also very professional and nice when doing the booking process.

We stayed here for a week with a total of 5 adults and 4 children (ages 6-13). The house itself isn't anything fancy but its spacious and has a nice pool in the backyard (the main reason we chose it!) Its located in a non-descript subdivision right off of I-35 (but far enough we didn't notice.) There is a game room upstairs with a pool table, which we used frequently. The table is a well used, and serious players would find fault with it, but for recreational players it was fine. We spent a ton of time in the pool, which backs up to an abandoned golf course. There is also a spacious porch/deck area. While there is nothing particularly amazing about the town of Schertz, the house is about 30 min from downtown, and 45 min from Sea World. Its also a short drive from Natural Bridge Caverns and New Braunfels, so conveniently located to a lot of activities. The house is located fairly closely to the Air Force base nearby so you will hear a lot of aircraft flying over during the day, but that didn't bother us. The only real issue that we had with the property is the dining room is too small for the amount of guests the house can hold so you'll have to eat spread out or in shifts. That said we would definitely recommend this house for large family vacations and would consider staying here again!

We loved the location of this property. About 20 minutes from the San Antonio airport and 15 minutes from New Bruenfels. Very nice, safe, residential neighborhood. House is huge, and very comfortable. The owner of the property is working on some aesthetic updates. Can’t wait to go back next spring. The golf course behind the property is closed and returning to natural vegetation. We enjoyed walking the paths and the gorgeous wildflowers.

Would love to give 5 stars as the owner bent over backwards to accommodate us, but... We arrived late evening after a super long travel day. We just wanted to fall into bed but...the beds weren't made. We contacted the property manager and were assured the sheets on the bedroom floor were freshly cleaned. (they looked like they were clean but there was some cringing going on) We made the beds and finally got some sleep. Next day we finished laundering the pool towels that hadn't been finished up. The house is a wonderful place to stay but sadly has faced the wear and tear of many VRBO guests that aren't as "gentle" as we try to be. The place is in need of some TLC. We miss the pre-COVID days when the fridge and cupboards would be full of condiments and the basics "starters" but alas those days are probably gone for good. We are not "complainers" and making the beds and a couple of loads of laundry is easy, but with the insurance and cleaning fees on top of the rent we don't feel we should have had to have done it. The owners wanted to send the cleaners in the next day for a "do-over" but by that time the beds are made so bringing them back for a couple of loads of laundry makes no sense. Perhaps waiving our cleaning fee and making his crew do that one for nothing would have been fair. Couple of tips for staying here. 1. If the pool lights are on when you get there make sure you turn them off at night or the beetles will swarm the pool. 2. If the cable and internet crater start the troubleshooting with the plug-in by the bed in the downstairs bedroom. Our son unplugged a plug to charge his phone next to his bed and it obviously powers the whole thing. Would I stay there again? Yes. Based on the reviews I would guess the cleaning mess up was a one-off.

This house has all the conveniences for your stay. Nice back patio with heated pool and grill area. Large living/kitchen space for everyone to gather at one time.

The shirts property was great, exactly as advertised, very comfortable. We found the property to be clean prepared it really fit the bill for a family visit and activities. The ownership customer communication was crisp clear and concise, it made all the tasks made it easier. We definitely recommend the process and any additional business with this ownership. House is in a great location with easy access to the freeways and close to many stores. We chose it because it had enough rooms for everyone and was centrally located to things we wanted to do. Only bad things were one toilet kept clogging up and the pool wasn’t getting warm. Otherwise it was a great home and the owners are very helpful and easy to work with!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Plenty of space for my family of six with a ton of room to spare. The beds were comfortable, the closets were huge, TVs in each room, and the kids loved having a pool table. It was a nice touch to have shampoo/conditioner/body wash/dish soap/laundry soap available. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs that didn’t have much. The pool was heated perfectly and was so much fun. There were even pool toys and beach towels to use. We were in both San Antonio and New Braunfels, and this location was perfect for those two places. Communication with Louis was fast and helpful as well. Thank you so much!

This is a very clean property--as pet owners whose dog travels with us, it's refreshing to find a pet-friendly property that is fresh and immaculate. The pool is lovely and although the golf course is closed, the grass is cut often and it's a great area for daily family walks. The owners were very responsive to our questions. We'll be back!

It was clean when we arrived and smelled really nice. Neighborhood was quiet which was a plus. We didn’t get to use the pool because of how chilly it was and the heated portion never came on or it was too cold outside. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall it was a good experience. However the golf course hasnt been there in years and is overgrown. There is cameras on the property that were recording that were not listed. The pool lights didnt work, the jetted tub jets did not work, the lights in the master bedroom did turn on and off by themself. Overall it was a good experience but the listing is not 100% accurate.

The property was located in a very quiet neighborhood with close access to the highway. Our family girls group enjoyed snuggle up on the sectional watching TV after touring the city. We enjoyed all the space, beautiful kitchen. Pool was nice, the young people enjoyed it, was just a little cool; we couldn't really figure out the heater. We would definitely stay again.
