Location.
The rooms and corridors all painted depressing charcoal colour. Even the bathroom gloomy. Grim “antique” shower fitments. Carpet felt gritty under bare feet. Handbasin plug jammed. Dining room now in basement - no sense of being, through windows, in smart Cheltenham.

The location is great. Nice breakfast.
Urine left in toilet when we checked in, splatter in bathroom wall by the sink, paint damage and peeling off bedroom wall, no lift, poo on loo brush. £440 for two nights felt excessive for this quality.

We stayed in room 9. Walls dirty and paint chipped. Bathroom door does not shut, shower door fitted poorly and dirty. Tap on sink spins round cracked floor tile.

The bed was very comfortable and we loved the amenities! Amazing location, many restaurants, shops and wonderful parks very near.

Very nice room and very clean
Poor communication from staff which was a shame. When we arrived we checked In but they did not give us any information about breakfast, where and what time! Also did not clearly tell her us where our room was, told us it was downstairs but not clear where this was. The stairs were in an unusual place, almost hidden so had to ask someone else where they were.
When arriving for breakfast, no members of staff around, when staff appeared, no communication to tell us where to sit and what was included.

Not enough shelf’s in the bathroom for things. Bed was too big for the room. Very little space to move around.

Travelled with my elderly father and there was no lift , he struggled to 2nd floor. Rooms very small but neat. Lack of lift or restaurant for dinner should be clear. The travern was near however the two Italian restaurant should be advertised also

We were disappointed there was no lift for luggage.
I thought breakfast was lovely however the option of purchasing a cooked breakfast was expensive.
Also a larger bar area would have been nice
