We were looking for a winter getaway to escape the stress and congestion of Southern California and Hawkins Bar delivered in a big way. We loved the cozy main room and enjoyed the river view even with in the rain. River access was easy by car and foot and we took advantage of it. The outdoor gas grill was down for the season (understandable) and there was some confusion about when the trash was picked up (the management app said one thing and the information in the house another) but otherwise the description is accurate including the amazing river view and multiple levels of decks. We absolutely would return for another visit and really enjoyed our winter retreat.

This was our second stay in this pair of cabins. It is perfect for our group of 12. We love going down to the river to fish and play volleyball. BBQ was not working was our only complaint.

There was so much available in and around this home, the time went by so quickly that we didn't want to leave even when the time came to do so. There's a fully stocked kitchen, lots of games, Smart TVs, all inside. Then outside, there's bikes, a hiking path, or walk down to the river to swim or fish. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would love to come back...and stay longer next time.

the house was filled with old personal memorabilia which was strange. Deck was not cleaned, card table unusable, filthy has cushions thrown on top.

Cozy abode
For most of the group it felt like summer camp in the winter. The double refrigerators, path to the river and warm bedding was a plus. We all look forward to coming back.. next time in warm weather. lol Thank you for sharing this sweet home with us.

Fun Family Vacation
I stayed on this property with my family of six and another family of four. It was nice having the two separate houses.. There were plenty of beds, rooms, and thick mats for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen in the main house is stocked with all different types of cookware and bakeware. Access to the river was wonderful. We spent an entire day swimming in the river. We made sandwiches and brought down drinks and snacks. There isn't any shade so a canopy or cover of some kinda is necessary in the summer months. The house has WiFi. There is no cellphone reception in the area and the surrounding areas that are 15-20 minutes away. Both families enjoyed our stay very much!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the property, which the property was family oriented. However the bed was super hard. The sofa was a lot more comfortable.

Great Location!
The property is near the river and the grandkids had a blast playing in the SUPER cold water. the house is well equipped and very comfortable. The property manager was very good in resolving a couple of minor issues. Would definitely stay there again!

River vacay
This home was perfect for our family! After over a year of not seeing our grandchildren, we looked forward to a special time together. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. A short hike to the river provided a full day of entertainment. There was no need to travel anywhere else.

A nice quaint cabin
It’s fun and nice but took us 30 mins. To enter, hopefully next time I won’t have trouble finding the lock, cause it says lock box but it wasn’t anything like a lock box to enter.

Beautiful rustic river getaway
The house was clean and spacious and stayed nice and cool during the hot days of our stay. It was stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The multi-tiered decks were great for grilling and listening to the river burble below. You can walk down (a very steep) path to the river below and there's a great little swimming hole area there too!

The house was just perfect for our needs. Plenty of space for everyone to spend time with each other, whether in the kitchen or living room, and the sleeping spaces were also very nice. The high number of bathrooms was also very convenient for our group! Only thing missing is a hot tub! ;)

Amazing House with great outdoor spaces and beautiful view
We had a ladies weekend here and it was perfect for our group. We all got like own room and two of us our own bathroom! The kitchen had so much space for all of our food and beverages which was great. There was even some food already there as well as coffee and teas. The lower deck was perfect for sun tanning and the grill area was great for eating our meals outdoors. Overall we had the best time there and all said we’d love to come back for another weekend soon!

Great stay, great place. We loved everything about it except for the neighbors pitbull which rushed the fence every time we walked by. Bring animal mace as a thank you to the neighbors! It’s the least you can do.

It’s better than what you expect!
The stream and the wooden decks are there exactly waiting for you. Unbelievably beautiful view from the living room! It seems that all the amenities were remodeled recently. I liked two refrigerators in the kitchen! Plenty of cooking wares and utensils. You get to sleep with actual sound of stream.. perfect vacation home ever!!

Rainy Getaway

This home was absolutely gorgeous inside and out!! There were only two things that could be improved on. The first was the comfort of the bed in the master. The second was the water. There are tannins (naturally occurring) in the water that we couldn’t taste fortunately but could see. My son took a bath the first night there and the water was so brown it looked like he was bathing in diluted tea. A quick call to the property manager cleared up that issue but I wish that would have been disclosed beforehand so we wouldn’t have had a minor freak out when he took a bath. Otherwise, this cabin was in the perfect location and had everything we needed in it. It’s also a new build and in excellent condition.
