A skunk sprayed the entrance to the home and it was awful. The house was fine, but our stay was bad because of the skunk.

The house was clean and had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay. There was constant communication leading up to check in and then check out. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to town. Would definitely stay here again!

From check in process to check out, it was incredibly easy and convenient. House is conveniently located near downtown Edgartown which made it super easy! We brought our dogs and the fenced in yard was key, super dog friendly.
Overall was a great stay and would stay again!

Was really impressed with the thought and effort that went into making things seamless and easy.
All the cupboards in kitchen were labeled with their contents. All the light switches labeled to what they control.
Extra trash bags and paper towels were provided. Plenty of towels available for bath/beach. Laundry in basement. Board games in the living room for the kids. Extra beach chair. Hose spicket for rinsing feet off coming back from beach.
House was clean and ready. 10 minute walk to center of town; 15 minutes to the harbor. 3 miles,10 min drive to South Beach.
Quiet and friendly neighborhood. Nice front yard. Our dog appreciated having some space to lounge on the lawn, front porch and back deck. The backyard was not 100% fenced in (think it was being fixed??) but a friendly dog from the neighbors made its way into our yard to say hi one day, lol.
Would certainly recommend for a small family and would stay here again. Thank you!

Starting off, the process of check-in was very pleasant with great communication. The house was clean, in-order, and inviting. The location of the house is close enough for an easy walk to downtown, but still far enough for privacy. We do not have any complaints, and would stay at this house again.

This is such a comfortable home that caters to families, friends and is dog-friendly. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed many walks into historic Edgartown for dining and shopping. Perfect location. I highly recommend this home.

I've been to this home before for vacation and couldn't wait to bring my Aunt and Cousin back with me for a family vacation! Perfect layout for my Aunt (84 years young!) with all rooms on one level. Location is great and close to downtown Edgartown. This trip crosses off a "bucket list" destination for my Aunt and has my Cousin (beach lover) already planner our next visit! Great home with everything you need!

We love staying at Old Orchard! The house has a perfect layout with plenty of space. A great spot for the dogs, the fenced in yard is a huge bonus. Plus close to Edgartown.

We had a little trouble with the key lock boxes (one wouldn't open, the other wouldn't close) and the back yard fence had a break (so we got to meet the neighbor dog, the lovely Sadie!!), but otherwise, everything was top notch! Thanks so much for a marvelous stay.

Just home from a relaxing few days at Old Orchard. This home is much larger inside than the pictures do justice. Every detail has been carefully organized - front porch charm & chairs, fully stocked (and labeled) kitchen, so many family games (we discovered some new ones!), a magnificent fenced back yard and large deck. All of this within walking distance to downtown Edgartown, a short bike ride to many beaches/paths & everything we needed for our final summer family adventure! Thank you!

Great location for a wedding in Edgartown. 10 minute walk to the Center and another 5 to the harbor. Beaches were a 20-25 minute walk. We really enjoyed the State Beach which was a 5 minute drive. It was also great that we were able to bring our dog and walk her around town and she enjoyed the large backyard. The house was just what we needed and the bedrooms were spacious. The house and deck felt bigger than the pictures made them look.

Location was great. House was in a quite area close enough to walk into Edgartown. The house had everything available if you just wanted to stay in and cook or grill for dinner. Games, Wi-Fi, and cable were all available for the few rainy days while we were there.

This was our second stay at the property, we came back because it was such a great stay the first time. Great location close to Edgartown, plenty of space for us and the dogs. Kitchen is clearly labeled, which means it’s super easy for us to navigate cooking during our stay.

Great Home for our Family Vacation!
Peaceful setting with large yard and back deck for outdoor dining and relaxing. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for all of us. Very clean and everything we needed was there. The owner definitely put a lot of effort in making this home very family friendly! Very close to downtown Edgartown. We walked there several times within 10 minutes. Looking forward to coming back for our next family vacation!

Overall great location and enough space/if not more for a family of 3! The house is a tribute to a family member and this is very lovely- I would say a bit outdated / a bit too much furniture but one can tell it is well cared for property. Would stay again, no doubt

Great house in an awesome location
We had a lovely stay at this property in early July (myself, my husband, our two kids, and our pup). The location can’t be beat, especially with how hard it can be to find parking in Edgartown. We could easily walk in for coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. The house itself was clean and cozy, and had some of the most comfortable beds we’ve experienced. The kitchen is fully stocked (and the cabinets thoughtfully labeled), and the backyard and deck are great. One other lovely feature is the information about the original owner who built the house, and his inspiring life, which made us feel more connected to the home.
We did have a few hiccups (when we arrived, one of the beds was broken, and the trash bins outside were already full to the brim without room for us to add anything; then the coffee maker broke), but the property managers were extremely apologetic and responsive, and did their best to make things right. We would definitely stay here again.

Family trip to MV
Property is as described in ad. It is close to Edgartown on a one lane road with no pull-offs. Check in not until 4pm and check out at 10am with no flexibility. It served our needs for the trip.

Great location
We had a great time staying at this house with our 2 dogs. Plenty of room and great deck! Kitchen was very convenient for making a few meals. Also only a 5 min drive to Edgartown! We loved driving to the lighthouse after dinner and walking the beach. Thank you!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Super quiet and a quick 10 min walk to Main Street. We loved being able to bring our two dogs who loved the backyard. Would highly recommend.

Great Location and great for dogs
Perfect house for a weekend getaway. We were able to bring our black lab and it was perfect for him with a fenced in yard and one level house. Very clean, and conveniently located close to downtown. We were able to walk to dinner and shops each day. House needs updating but worked great for us. Would stay again.

Old Orchard review
This was a very nice house in a nice location within walking distance of downtown Edgartown. It was very comfortable for our group of 7. The house is old with features from several decades ago, but everything was working well. We appreciated the history of the house as the original owner Don, was a WWII combat veteran who met his wife on the island. We have great respect for that.
We would definitely recommend this house to others.

The destination point
When a friend showed me the pictures and I knew I could also bring my medium size mixed breed dog with me, my husband and I planned a wonderful vacation there. The pandemic prevented that from happening. We still want to go. It looks perfect. Great location, nicely presented with a yard, one level layout and clean. We still hope to make the trip.
