The property was better than advertised. Close to the beach and on a quiet street. The host was delightful and helpful. Lots of room to spread out. We had a great time there.

Clean, comfortable and airy. Nice furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Great location to a very clean, uncrowded beach ~ bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and life jackets available too! Quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Minor confusion with the layout and entry process ( keys and cars), Next door neighbor was impatient with us trying to figure out where to park two cars as soon as we arrived. Once we met Ernie arriving to the downstairs portion of our building he helped us with suggestions. Once this was answered, the stay was enjoyable. Pretty and mostly peaceful.

We loved this property. It was so clean and had everything you could need. Arlene was amazing in her communication and accommodating me. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Arlene's beach house! We had no problem communicating with Arlene, and the house was very clean when we arrived. There is a lot of space to spread out in the living room and the couches were very comfortable. The rooftop widow's walk provided a great space to hang out, as did the front balcony overlooking the street. As first time visitors to Oxnard, we were very happy with the Silver Strand area. We could quickly walk to the beach, which was not busy at all, except for a handful of beach walkers and surf fishermen. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

If I could give more than 5 starts, I would. The property is beautiful, well-stocked, and 1/2 block from the beach. The owner Arlene was very helpful. This is the second floor of a house and extremely private. The house is well stocked with kitchen equipment, beach chairs and toys, everything you need. The beach is huge and uncrowded. I'm already thinking about when I can come back.

If you live the beach, then this is your place. It's close by in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to Oxnard if you want to go out it need groceries. A great beach retreat even on a busy holiday weekend.

The high ceilings make it seem bigger and nicer than the pictures. Arlene was great to work with. Our family of four loved our stay. Highly recommend!

Arlene was a good host. Communicated when it was needed...otherwise Allowed us to enjoy her property with all of the extra amenities that her place provided. Location was perfect. Beach ⛱ in walking distance. Small crowds at beach made it even more enjoyable. I will definitely try to book here again and refer friends.

Well stocked for our stay - with many amenities like beach items and bikes. Spacious rooftop deck and dining area for entertaining. Wish our trip was longer to enjoy more of the beach and nearby area. Looks even better in person than the pictures. Great communication.

Arlene is an excellent host and responds quickly to any questions. This is a perfect location if you like the beach because the house is only ¼ block away. The photos are what you see when you get to the house. The beds are comfortable with nice sheets. The roof top deck is great for relaxing with family or friends. Shopping is nearby. Everything you need for a day at the beach is available to you, even bikes to ride and tour the area. I would rent this house again.

Arlene's rental house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some beach life! She is an excellent host who has great communication and we appreciated the extra commendations for my 90 year old father to be able to visit. The stairs to the rental were steep but he was able to do it. The house is perfect for a place to relax, have a pre dinner cocktail & night cap on the balcony, which we enjoyed. Cook a meal in the large kitchen and enjoy it on the beautifully decorated dinning table. On a sunny day the roof deck was great to catch a few rays in the lounge chairs and the beach is literally a 4 minute walk away, it was so nice to watch the surf and dig your feet in the sand and stroll. A softie ice cream truck even comes down her street for a sweet treat! We really enjoyed her home and my father found himself parked in the recliner visiting & enjoying movie time with us. He said "the recliner was not too small or too big for him, just the right size." For us, the beds were very comfortable to get a nights rest and the house suited us well for a relaxing vaca. We would definitely rent the house again for a future trip to Southern California.
