My husband and I spent a long weekend with my parents and had a perfect time. The location is convenient for driving to the area's attractions. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Everything we needed was available and working. Even though we saw how small the bathroom was when we arrived, it worked out fine and was not an issue. Both bedrooms have an area to get ready, and everything was perfect. The beds are comfortable, and the area is beautiful. We loved our stay. Thank you!!!

My family had a wonderful time at the Cabin! It was very clean and nicely decorated. Beds and couch were very comfortable. Tv was nice and large. The fridge and beverage fridge were perfect for our 5 day stay. Bathroom is small, but sinks in bedrooms were helpful! Cabin is as advertised. Location is quiet and central to many activities. The local property contact, Blanche was very responsive and helpful. Great stay! We would definitely recommend to others!

Perfect 2 bedroom for a family. Trust me, sharing an expensive hotel room with your kids doesn’t compare. This didn’t cost much more and was the way to go. Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. In 3 full days, we hiked Black Elk Peak, drove Needles, Iron Mt Rd, Custer Wildlife loop, Rushmore Cave, bikes 30 miles of Mickelson Trail, ate at the Alpine Inn, saw Mt Rushmore, did Bear Country and Reptiles Gardens… with a 2 and 3 year old. Perfect central hub for all of that. Great stay! Just book it!

This house was perfect for our 5 nights in the Black Hills. Great location, close to everything we wanted to do. Very quiet, clean and had everything we needed. We grilled and cooked a few meals in the compact kitchen with no issue. We also made good use out of the counter top ice maker!
While there are two bedrooms, the house may be a bit tight for more than 2-3 people but was perfect for two of us and our dog!
The host was very responsive with good communication before, during and after our stay. We would stay here again.

The Hideaway was perfect for us! Close to all the places we wanted to go. But felt remote and away from city life. Beds were comfortable, place was clean. Had everything we needed. We were snowed in while we were here so we spent 2.5 days in the cabin and it felt like home. Host Blanche was friendly and helped with our questions. Highly recommend.

We came to see Mount Rushmore along with the Badlands and the Black Hills. This was a great location and our accommodations were very nice. The property management was very helpful and easy to access. Would definitely recommend if you’re coming to the area.

This cabin can exceed your expectations. It's an excellent choice for those who like privacy and a quiet stay. This cabin is equipped with all you need for a comfortable vacation - a big TV in the living room and 2 smaller TVs in the bedrooms with lots of channels and movie library, 3 separate decks for the living room and bedrooms, and a lovely kitchen with dishwasher, serveware, and utensils, crockpot and other small appliances. There is a wet bar with a coffee maker, a tea kettle, and many types of glasses. The central cooling system works perfectly. WiFi has a good speed, we watched a live channel on Youtube without any problems. There is a gas grill there so BBQ lovers will enjoy their stay also. The cabin looks exactly as in the pictures. If you have any questions homeowner is happy to help. Rushmore Mount is just 10 mi from that cabin, and the beautiful lake with a beach is about 2 mi away. That area has 5G coverage with most companies. We enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this cabin for your stay.

The Hideaway was a great place to stay. Close to many places, but quiet cabin in the hills. We got snowed in while we were here so spent three days in the cabin. Comfortable and had everything we needed.

The location was desirable with Mt Rushmore and Sitting Bull Monuments within a short 20 minute drive. Badlands, Sturgis, Wall Drug, and Deadwood all a manageable drive for an easy day trip. Everything was as in the listing and the property manager made sure there was exceptional communication with a fantastic ease of check-in. 10/10 would stay again.

We enjoyed having our own yard, and being far enough away from other cabins, but close enough to walk over and meet other neighbors if they were open to that. Beautiful setting, friendly staff l. We visited with the on site managers outside.. very nice people!! Our dog enjoyed the “wilderness” and we enjoyed seeing deer early in the morning.

Hideaway Cabin was amazing location. The deer greeting us each evening was cool. The central location just outside Hill City was useful in visiting all the monuments, State and National parks and general site-seeing trips. The couch in the pictures is actually there and is very comfortable. The kitchen areas are ideal for whatever you want to cook. The little windows in the cabin are nice ways to greet the day. The patios were nice for breakfasts.

The property was easily located and central to many sights and Hill City. Property was clean and well stocked with supplies. Contact person was prompt with check in instructions. Bathroom is quite small, but otherwise property was spacious. Parking is in the front and one must walk up the side to enter the property. There are several decks for outdoor seating. Parking was ample. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

This was a great location for our hiking in Custer State Park. Hill City has good restaurants and a grocery store, and a gas station is very close to the house. The street was quiet. and the house was clean. Blanche was easy to communicate with. We would stay again!

This place was excellent. Everything you needed and in a very peaceful setting and surroundings. Central to all you wanted to see in the Black Hills. Mt. Rushmore, 1880 Train, Custer State Park and more. Our host, Blanche, was excellent and answered any questions or concerns quickly. Would stay here agian in a heart beat.

The home in general was very nice and in a pretty neighborhood; however, the bathroom is very small and the shower is not acceptable. We generally did not have any internet and the TV service was only streaming and usually did not work. One evening we did not have any hot water. We were glad to leave. the property manager tried to help with the internet but to no avail but she was able to get the hot water back on.

Great accommodations, convenient location
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is clean and well equipped for a family of four and the design is modern design is clean and comfortable. The property is well kept in a small subdivision of similar houses.
That is all well and good but if I am being honest my favorite bit was the location. It was a great base of operations with convenient proximity to the monuments, parks and towns. It seems like we could get most places within 30 minutes with just the trip to Deadwood taking a bit longer.
So many of the other places with cabins we drove by seemed to be right off the highway, where as this cabin was located off the road a piece in a quiet cul-de-sac with a beautiful view.
Be aware, the cell reception is horrible in that location (at least for Verizon). This would not have been a problem except they were having problems with the internet when we were there. Blanche worked hard to resolve the situation and kept us updated. She handle the whole situation like a pro and gave us a discount for the hassle. At any rate, we didn't need to be wasting time streaming Netflix when there is so much to see and do in the area.
What else can I say? the place is great and I highly recommend it as a place to stay if you are looking to take a trip into the beautiful black hills.

Perfect Place
This is the most ideal location & accomadations a family could ask for staying in the Black Hills area. Perfectly located within everything there is to do!! Quiet & wicked clean. Our family of 4 was more than comfortable with the accomadations, space, deck, & having a grill to cook. Neighborhood was quiet. Blanche, our host, checked in on us almost daily to ensure we had what we needed. Being only 15-20 minutes away from Rushmore, Custer, Keystone & other locations was quite a treat! Hidden secret: Three Forks (bar & grill next to Candyland) may have the best homemade hamburgers we've had!!!!

Well-Appointed Cabin in Great Black Hills Location!
Stayed at the Hideaway Cabin for four nights. Loved every minute there! The cabin looks new, is well-appointed and very comfortable, and is located in the center of the Black Hills. We were allowed to bring our dogs to stay with us, and our host was always available to communicate with us! We'd love to return for another stay at the Hideaway Cabin! :)
