Crooked Hythe Cottage - Charming Seafront Traditional Fisherman's Cottage
Le Crooked Hythe Cottage est situé dans le pittoresque village de pêcheurs de la côte de Moray, Findochty, dans un emplacement tout simplement magnifique en bord de mer. Ce charmant chalet de plain-pied a été entièrement rénové et agrandi en 2007 et vient d'être entièrement redécoré par les fiers nouveaux propriétaires en 2020 pour fournir aux vacanciers les plus exigeants une base idéale pour explorer la côte de Moray. Ce joyau d'un chalet dispose de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains et peut accueillir 4 personnes dans une chambre king avec salle de douche attenante et une chambre lits jumeaux avec une grande salle de bains familiale facilement accessible avec une douche dans la baignoire.
Il y a une cuisine moderne et spacieuse avec beaucoup de rangement et un comptoir avec une barre de petit déjeuner et des sièges pour 4. La cuisine est ouverte sur la salle à manger avec une grande table pouvant accueillir 6 personnes. À l'extrémité de la zone ouverte, il y a un espace de vie très confortable et lumineux pour se détendre en famille ou entre amis en fin de journée.
Les portes coulissantes en verre de la salle à manger offrent une vue imprenable sur la mer et donnent sur un patio clôturé, surélevé et spacieux avec une table de jardin et des chaises pour se détendre en plein air ou profiter d'un repas en plein air. La plage incroyable et pratiquement privée est directement accessible depuis le patio.

On our arrival we found flowers, Scottish goods and a handwritten card from Selma & Rob in the kitchen. Such a warm welcome! The house is just wonderful! Every room is so nicely done up, we felt vey much at home! The kitchen is well equipped and the dishes und cutlery fitted so tastefully. For us it was a perfect holiday at the Crooked Hythe Cottage!

Property was amazing and Selma had decorated the cottage for Christmas! We had a lovely time and the cottage had everything you could ever need. Would love to visit again and more than likely will. Would recommend thoroughly!

On arrival this cottage had the wow factor
Everything about it was top quality. The decor so tasteful and such attention to detail throughout.
We especially loved the Art work the canvas art my favorite Id love to know who the artist is .
The view was breathtaking as we watched the drama in the sea ...
Beautiful walks round the harbour , we were blessed with bright sunshine and blue sky first day ..
Enjoyed a pub supper in the Admiral's.
Will definitely re visit ...could not recommend this stunned property enough. Thank you 😊

This home was perfect for two couples who love to cook and relax in style! We have stayed in many fabulous places, but none where the host has put so much thought into every detail of the property. If we travel to Scotland in the future, we will definitely be returning to this home!

The cottage is very well equipped with lots of welcome 'extras'. I can't think of anything the hosts didn't provide for, which was great (even binoculars!). The locals were very helpful and welcoming and we enjoyed a couple of visits to the village pub. Would highly recommend as hassle-free, high-spec accommodation in a lovely location overlooking the sea.

What an amazing property! Beautifully decorated throughout with everything thought of to make it a home from home. Fresh flowers and a card on arrival along with a welcome basket from the owners Selma and Rob was so lovely. Great location with your own private little beach-can’t wait to come back xx

Always love to be back in Findochty and especially enjoyed our stay at The Crooked Hythe.
This is not our first visit to the property and as always it was spotlessly clean and everything thought of to make us feel home from home.

This was our second visit to Crooked Hythe and once again it did not disappoint. The cottage is charming and offers everything and more, including the ever changing view out across the water. The welcome pack is a lovely touch as is the doggy treats!

The heating was on when we arrived so it was warm when we walked in, which was appreciated as it was -3 outside when we got there. The house was immaculate! Very very clean. Fantastic stay
Idyllic spot for a chilled out getaway, with all the amenities from a local pub in the village to a supermarket just couple of miles away. The cottage is fully equipped and the attention to detail is second to none. Would highly recommend The Crooked Heath and can't wait to go back

Top class property
This property is a stunning example of a holiday let, the attention to detail is spot on.
It is very homely and there were so many extras to make the stay just like home. Made to feel very welcome both myself, family and our dogs.
My son is a wheelchair user and the property was perfect for him with plenty of room.
We would definitely highly recommend and will be back in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Wonderful cottage!
We love Findochty and this cottage made our stay even better. Scrupulously clean, comfortable, every tiny thing you could need supplied. There was even ice ready for our Gin and Tonics! Wonderfully quiet location; lots of mucking around on the beach and the rocks. Walks, bowling and go karting nearby for the teenagers. Thank you.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, had all the appliances you could need, dishwasher, washing machine tumble dryer-, plenty of towels and all good quality items. There was an excellent stock of cleaning & laundry supplies + kitchen supplies eg tea coffee herbs etc. A welcome package and fresh flowers made an excellent start to the holiday. We saw seals & dolphins pass outside and spent many hours just looking at the views. Wanted to book next September but unfortunately no availability for our dates. Would definitely go back .

A very attractive, clean and comfortable cottage that had excellent amenities and lots of little extras. Wonderful breakfasts enjoyed on the deck watching the fishing boats and trying to spot a dolphin! Definitely a place for a re-visit.

Fabulous cottage in an excellent location, we would heartily recommend stopping here.
All the little details in the cottage from the welcome pack, the extensive DVD and game collection to the facilities in the kitchen made our stay exceptional. It even didn't rain for our weeks holiday..!!
Would certainly stop here again if we're in the area.

A home from home
We last stayed in this beautiful cottage in 2013 and since then it has been completely transformed. Very clean and beautifully furnished and included everything we needed to make our holiday complete including a welcoming pack and flowers.
Finechty once again has been amazing! The place that forever holds a special place in my heart and fond memories of my childhood and visiting my great-grandmother for family holidays.
Sun, sea, sunsets, dolphins and seals and most importantly creating new memories with my own family.
We have had a wonderful holiday and cannot wait to visit again soon.

Perfect
Perfect in every way, Selma & Rob have thought of everything that holiday makers might need, they have a gorgeous house that is well situated and immaculate, the views out to sea were very relaxing even on those rainy ,windy days. The welcome pack and card were a nice touch, and much appreciated . Selma and Rob have gone the extra mile for their guests ,this is by far the Best holiday home we have stayed in. We look forward to next time.

Everything about this cottage is fabulous! From the lovely welcome card, basket and flowers to the amazing views. Peaceful location and a great base to explore the surrounding villages/walks/harbours/beaches/views. The cottage itself is beautiful with excellent quality furnishings and very well equipped facilities. A much appreciated and needed break. We will be back! Thank you.

Ich mache fast ausschließlich Urlaub in Ferienhäusern, aber sowas hab ich noch nicht erlebt!
Das Haus war blitzeblank, die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet was das Herz begehrt. Wir haben einen Geschenkkorb, einen Blumenstrauß und eine sehr nette Karte von Selma und Rob gekommen. Die Betten waren fantastisch und über die Aussicht von der Terrasse auf‘s Meer könnte ich noch ewig reden. Alles in allem ein überaus gelungener Urlaub und ich hoffe das wir das Cottage irgendwann nochmal wiedersehen.
