Juste le long de l'Esplanade de Woolacombe se trouve Cliff Cottage dans ses propres jardins privés, en retrait et surélevé de la route. Littéralement à quelques pas de la plage, il offre une vue imprenable sur la mer juste en face de la plage de Woolacombe jusqu'à Putsborough, Baggy Point et au-delà.
Cette maison de style chalet des années 1950 a été récemment rénovée selon des spécifications élevées et peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 plus un bébé dans 3 chambres spacieuses et pourra accueillir 2 familles très confortablement.
Le grand jardin avant est clôturé par une clôture et une porte basses en bois. Il y a beaucoup de parking pour 2/3 voitures et le garage offre suffisamment d'espace pour ranger les planches de surf, les bodyboards, les vélos et le kit de plage général. A l'arrière de la maison se trouvent deux douches chauffées à déguster après un plongeon dans la mer. Les installations de la plage à leur meilleur!
Sur la terrasse principale du patio avant, il y a une suite de mobilier d'extérieur de style californien où les clients peuvent profiter au maximum des vues incroyables. Sur l'autre terrasse avant, à l'extérieur de la cuisine-salle à manger, se trouvent une table et des chaises pour les repas en plein air. À l'arrière de la propriété, il y a une terrasse offrant un espace extérieur plus isolé, tout en bénéficiant d'une vue imprenable sur la mer.
Lorsque vous entrez dans la maison, à gauche de la porte d'entrée se trouve la cuisine-salle à manger et une buanderie séparée avec lave-linge et sèche-linge. La cuisine rénovée a des unités de style rétro blanc offrant beaucoup de rangement et de nouveaux appareils, y compris un lave-vaisselle, un réfrigérateur / congélateur de style américain et une cuisinière avec 2 fours et 5 brûleurs, y compris un brûleur wok.
À droite de l'escalier, la porte mène à 2 salons séparés par de grandes portes doubles offrant un espace de vie flexible. La première chambre dispose de deux canapés en tissu gris anthracite et d'un grand téléviseur mural Smart 4K Ultra HD de 55 pouces. La Smart TV dispose d'un accès Internet afin que Netflix, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, etc. soient accessibles aux clients avec leurs propres comptes. Des ports HDMI sont également disponibles pour quiconque souhaite se connecter à ses propres appareils e. g.laptop, etc. bien qu'un lecteur DVD ne soit pas fourni. Unbeatable position for superb sea views over Woolacombe sands and for quick and easy access to the beach and village amenities. House clean and well equipped, good laundry facilities and parking, but things beginning to look a bit worn and shabby and the description of the property should now be taken with a pinch of salt. The two double rooms have nice large beds but the children’s bedroom would be cramped for four children. Eight people dining around the table in the kitchen would be crowded and rather uncomfortable with two benches and four folding chairs - hope for warm weather as it’s lovely eating outside. It would also make it much easier for guests if the checkin (5pm) was an hour earlier and the checkout (9am) an hour later. However another great week, thank you.

This is a fantastic location just across the road from the beach. Stunning views, especially sitting out on the terrace. We've been returning here every year for over five years. It works well for grandparents as there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Two large sitting rooms mean plenty of space for a big family. It is always spotless. A few things could be updated or replaced, but are livable with. Overall, a really excellent location, with a garden and parking. Holiday Home Hunter who manage the bookings are friendly, professional and go out of their way to be helpful - thank you.

Perfect location and lovely house.
Space enough in the living rooms for 6 adults, 9 month old granddaughter and a 3 year old fur baby who loved the bunnies in the garden.
The parking area has plenty of space and easily accommodated our 3 cars.
Already book again for next year.

The property is a little tired, especially the kitchen but the view along Woolacombe sands makes up for the properties short comings. The master bedroom is very comfortable with a great view and we had a wonderful week.

A very enjoyable stay at Cliff Cottage. The location of the property and its proximity to the beach and village were perfect. The cottage is simply furnished and very spacious. The lovely wraparound garden and outside space was a real bonus and perfect for our needs with an elderly relative and two dogs.

This is a regular stay for us as a family. Wonderful location with fantastic walks from the door for us and the dogs. Handy for the shops and beach. The children loved the surfing. Ideal for the dogs with enclosed garden. We hardly used the car. Lots of lovely local cafes.

Keep coming back - booked again for next year. Not really suitable for the less mobile but once in the cottage it’s fine so my husband struggles up the steps just to enjoy the peace and views. The housekeepers do a really good job and have been so helpful. Looking forward to next July (if not before ?!)

Very first stay at Cliff Cottage. We were delighted with the accommodation. We were 3 generations and it met all of our needs. The cottage is very spacious giving plenty of room for socialising and quiet times with plenty of seating. The oldies in our group were happy to sit and take in the views from the outside furniture on the terrace. The garden which wraps around the whole of the property was a real bonus. There was total privacy and you are not overlooked by any of the adjoining properties. We used the outside showers after returning from the beach, which were again an added bonus. The whole property was very clean and tidy, the bedding and towels were of a high quality and everything you needed for a self catering holiday was provided for. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and a nice touch. We are planning to return next year.

Once again a very enjoyable holiday in this “cottage” in a super location. Ideal for the younger family members - beach,sea and walking and us “oldies” sitting on the terrace watching the world go by! The property is not luxurious but has all that you need for a very relaxing time and even the changeable weather didn’t detract from this. Have already booked again !

5 stars from us for this perfect house. Loads of space, comfy beds, masses of outside space to sit and watch the beach and sea. The most amazing views (from indoors too), and fun to watch the surfers when we’d finished in the sea - which is just steps away. The village is also very close. Outdoor heated showers! Getting clean after the sea could not be easier. A good tumble dryer as well as washing machine. Loads of lovely touches such as old photos and local artwork. Although so close to the beach and village, it feels lovely and private due to trees/shrubs screening it from neighbouring houses and being set back. Crucially parking for at least two large cars and probably more if you have a visitor. The garden was lovely with flowers and birds. Holiday home hunter were very helpful as usual, especially as I had changed my mind a couple of times about dates etc. We really didn’t want to leave.

This is only our second visit to Cliff Cottage but we have already booked for next year. That is really all you need to know.
A fantastic holiday home in an amazing location for a family plus pets. We brought our dogs.
The house is roomy and comfortable. The garden is also beautiful at this time of year. The location is wonderful for access to everything Woolacombe and Mortehoe has to offer and the views from the patio are wonderful. We did not use the car once but spent our time walking and exploring and visiting all the lovely cafes.
We would thoroughly recommend this Cottage if you have a dog. Loads of different walks from the door.
A perfect week to relax and unwind and forget all the troubles at home!

The housekeepers were really very helpful. A new mattress was required for the travel cot as the one supplied was not long enough to fit the cot which they sorted and was delivered to Cliff Cottage.
The one thing that was missing was summer duvets, the ones that are on the beds upstairs were very high tog. and were very hot.
The shower floor was slippery, I had read this in a review so I took a bath mat with me.

A gem in Woolacombes crown
Cliff Cottage on the Esplanade is the perfect location for a family holiday. There is easy access to the beach and local amenities that cater for your every need. The house is spacious, clean and very comfortable with ample parking and amazing views. The outdoor showers were a real bonus for washing off the sand before going into the house. The welcome pack is a very nice gesture from the owners 'Thank you!' I highly recommend Cliff Cottage.

A really superb location
Found and holidayed in Cliff Cottage over 50 years ago then by chance saw it again (extended and refurbished!) - brought back memories of the fabulous time here with the children , so 3 years ago brought them again with their children - upstairs for the younger ones and downstairs for the “old folk”with shower etc and no need to use the stairs. This has been our third visit with them and already booked for next year.

Perfect get away.
Had the most fabulous time in Woolacombe at the Cliff Cottage. Perfect accommodation for us and our two dogs. This was our second visit and we will be returning next year. Also had the most incredible weather for this time of year, very lucky.

Fantastic location and views of Woolacombe bay
Cliff Cottage is located right in the front line of buildings, elevated above the level of the road, on 'The Esplanade' with exceptional views (especially from the front upstairs bedroom) across Woolacombe bay and its magnificent beach. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit indoors or outdoors, watching and listening to the sea. The house is also within easy walking distance of the shops, cafés and restaurants. There are two outdoor elevated areas of table and seating at the front of Cliff Cottage from which to sit in the open air to enjoy a stunningly beautiful panoramic view. In addition to a very well equipped kitchen/breakfast room and two lounge areas to relax in downstairs, there are also a utility room, a downstairs bedroom and a shower room with basin and wc. Upstairs there are another 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with basin and wc. An additional benefit at Cliff Cottage is the large driveway which prevents the need to find parking along The Esplanade.

This house is in a fantastic location with wonderful views of Woolacombe beach. Local facilities are within easy walking distance. Excellent accommodation in a stunning setting.
This is a superbly located property with plenty of accommodation and ample parking. The generous private gardens were enclosed and enabled us to let our dog run freely and safely.
Cliff Cottage is close to all amenities but not in a busy setting. The views of the sea, beach and coastline from all the front facing rooms were outstanding. A welcome pack of milk, chocolates and bubbly greeted us on arrival. The timetable for the tides was also extremely useful.
Inside the property met all day to day requirements, was comfortable, quiet and relaxing and very much a home from home. We would be happy to stay there again and have already recommended it to our friends.

Stunning location with the best views of woolacombe beach from living room, kitchen and main bedroom. Huge beachscape, seascape.
House spotless bright and light and lovely little generous touches from owners... inc bottle of fizz and some chocs. These little things make all the difference.
Had wonderful walks, swims, watched alot of surfing(lifeguarded beach all day)
Cant fault it and cant wait to go again.
Management were informative and helpful.

Beautiful coastal property by my favourite beach
I was looking for a family house by the sea and this property ticked all the boxes, you could almost touch the beach from the patio.

Family holiday
Eight of us stayed at Cliff Cottage in early July 2021. This isn't the first time we've stayed at the property so knew what to expect. The accommodation is great with plenty of reception space to spread out in. The outdoor terrace is also a really good space to relax in. We can't really fault the property, although it would be nice to see one or two very minor things improved such as the dodgy garden gate.
While appreciating the need for extra cleaning time due to Covid, the very late check in time and very early check out time do make things a bit difficult, however hopefully this is temporary.
In summary we would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in Woolacombe and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Straight from “cottage” to beach - excellent location . If you didn’t fancy the beach the terrace was marvellous for watching those that did - and always of course the view. Plenty of space indoors for 6-8 people. Hope this review doesn’t generate so much interest that we would be unable to book in the future !!

Shhh, we found paradise but let’s keep it our secret ........
Wow! Cliff Cottage has everything; spectacular views, fantastic outside space, clean, comfortable and very spacious inside, well equipped. We loved it so much that we booked a week for next year before we’d even packed to come home this time.
I’ve read comments about the kitchen needing an update. Maybe but not an issue for us - what’s outside is the jewel in the crown and I struggle to think of anywhere more beautiful. These holiday homes have a high turnover of guests and along with that comes wear and tear despite the majority of guests having complete respect for another’s property. If I were the owner I doubt I’d invest in a new kitchen at the moment when what is there is perfectly adequate for the purpose.
Recycling did leave us scratching our heads but a text to the housekeeper remedied that.
We’d like to say a big thank you to the owners for the welcome pack. Such a lovely touch and a great start to our holiday. Milk was left, a bottle of fizz and a box of chocs and our thanks of course for giving us the opportunity to share your fabulous property.
As I’ve already said, WE’LL BE BACK.

Excellent Prime Location.
Very pleased with the holiday. Looking forward to visiting again next year.
If I had to be honest, the house could do with a little TLC.
In my opinion the kitchen could do with a makeover, a radio would be nice to listen to whilst cooking.
We also felt the tv should be moved to the end lounge, as it felt a more homely room.
All in all, this is a lovely house with fantastic views of the beach. Perfect for water babies. Excellent outdoor shower facility. Brilliant location. Looking forward to our visit next year.

Amazing location with stunning sea views
We were so lucky to find Cliff Cottage due to a cancellation. There were six of us and the house was really comfortable - the garden was a great size for football and cricket! The views of the sea are amazing - we were unlucky enough to arrive for the tail end of Storm Ellen followed by Storm Francis but the house was lovely and warm and we could watch the waves from the comfort of inside! The outdoor showers were great after bodyboarding and there was always plentiful hot water for six consecutive showers. We would highly recommend this and will be back - the only thing we would change is the weather but even so we had an amazing week!

A lovely family holiday home
We were lucky with the weather and family had a great time bodyboarding. Good quality white goods and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Comfortable beds. Could have done with a few more coffee tables and perhaps another couple of simple armchairs ?
Key safe and front door locks were an acquired knack ! But all in all a really lovely property - have already booked for next year.

Summer family holiday
8 of us stayed at Cliff Cottage in August 2019. The accommodation is excellent insofar as it has plenty of reception space for the family to spread out in.
The location cannot be beaten in woolacombe as the property sits right on the esplanade across the road from the beach. This was a great advantage when coming back from a day on the beach with bags, towels, etc.
The property has been refurbished recently however in some respects there remains some work to do. Everything has had a lick of paint and the reception rooms and bedrooms are all bright and well finished. The kitchen could do with a bit more work and maybe replacing at some point.
There were one or two minor niggles, for example there is no wardrobe space in the family bedroom.
However overall this is a very good property in a fantastic location, and we’ve already booked again for next year!

A comfortable roomy chalet in excellent location.
Excellent kitchen facilities and outside showers were a bonus. Comfortable beds. Smart and clean throughout. Recycling instructions need to be clearer and when we arrived some litter left in driveway. However we would have no hesitation in staying there again as the location was perfect and the house was excellent.
