Eignacio was an excellent host! He walked us through the features and highlighted near-by shops and restaurants. He even patently answered our call at 2am when we were struggling with the lock! Elevator was a bonus. We spent most of our time on his beautiful large deck. The stay would have been better with newer towels and sheets and the hot water warming up faster. All things we were able to work around with the other pluses!

Lovely, comfortable and homely flat with large terrace in a typical Andalusian house. Most of historic and seafront Cadiz at walking distance. Ignacio lives downstairs and was extremely helpful and responsive. Warning. If going by car, aim straight for parking St Antonio which is the closest to the house. About Euro10 a day.

This was our third stay in Arantxa's apartment and was as enjoyable as the previous two. The family is friendly and welcoming. Cadiz is such a compact city that you are never far from what you need . The apartment is roomy and light with the terrace being the highlight.Thank you again Arantxa!

We spent a lovely 2 weeks in our dear Cádiz. Part of what made our journey great was our apartment and Arantxa. She's a great host, a friendly and helpful lady. We had a couple of minor issues in the apartment and she made sure they were solved in no time. The terrace is such a bonus. It's full of plants (which I love) and great for having breakfast and/or dinner. The apartment is very conveniently situated near a plaza peppered with tapas bars. There's a good fishmonger around the corner and a couple of small supermarkets. But in Cádiz everything is near so make sure to visit the Abastos market too! One thing that could be better: the apartment is in the more expensive range. For that price a dishwasher should be included. It wasn't advertised so we won't complain too much but on second thought it's something you should be able to dispose of when you pay more than 100 euros per night. Otherwise: definitely recommend this place!

Arwanxja's apartment is perfect. It is a real home from home with everything you need provided. Aranxja is a wonderful host, welcoming and very helpful in providing information about the city with very good recommendations for beaches bars and restaurants. The location of the apartment is second to none with everything on your doorstep. The terrace is an added bonus, perfect for relaxing in the evening or enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We spent eight days in this spacious apartment and wished we could have stayed longer. From the outset booking was seamless and Arantxa was at the apartment to meet us and show us where everything was and also give us some tips on where to eat, shop and visit. The apartment has everything one could ever need from a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook the local produce which is delicious and in abundance to plenty of bed linen and even beach towels if you want to travel lightly. The terrace is a great bonus for spending time relaxing after a busy day exploring and then you can flop into the comfy bed. We walked for hours around the old town and beyond and around every corner there is another beautiful square to have tapas and drinks. Cadiz is a place that we could never tire of and we loved living as a "local" with the friendly people saying "hola" or "buenas dias" to us. If you love fish and seafood then go to the fish market which is only ten minutes walk away; it is an absolute joy! There are also vendors there who have every fruit and veg you could imagine. Everything is delicious and very reasonably priced compared to the UK. La Calleta beach is a short stroll away with a beautiful Victorian style pavilion and a castle on either side of it. Also a short walk away is La Camara Oscura where you can see the whole of Cadiz in live action. We took a trip to Jerez by train (only 35 minutes) to see the Dancing Horses which was enchanting and we also visited Tio Pepe sherry house which is now run by the fifth generation of the family...well worth a visit. To sum up if you feel like a change from crowded costas and "the full English breakfast" then think of Cadiz, you will not be disappointed. This was a lovely apartment with large terrace and excellent facilities. Situated right in the centre of the old town it is an ideal base to explore. The owners live on the floor below and are very friendly and helpful while allowing their tenants privacy and independence. Their presence means that any questions are dealt with immediately, a great advantage. It is just a short walk to a sandy beach which although busy during our stay was very pleasant and there are excellent cafes, restaurants and bars within in minutes walk of the property. Cadiz itself is beautiful and fascinating and we would be happy to return to both the town and this apartment. Many thanks to the family for their help during our stay!

We spent a wonderful week in Cadiz in this lovely apartment. It is a perfect base to explore the old town with everything within easy reach. We loved the market, the beach and generally wandering about. Arantxa's recommendations for places to eat were brilliant and we managed to visit quite a few using the maps provided. The apartment is gorgeous with everything you could need and the terrace is fantastic for meals outside and sitting with a drink at night. It is very helpful to have Arantxa and her family available for any help or advice but the apartment is totally separate. (The details on home away say there is only a bath in the apartment but in fact there is a lovely big shower). Thank you for letting us stay here and we would love to return one day.

We had a fabulous stay at Arantxa's flat, very central and with a lovely terrace. The sun is on it most of the day, but a great place to sit in the shade for breakfast and dinner. Arantxa's a/c was a wonderful respite from the heat.

Apartment in great location situated within walking distance of the market, cathedral and two beaches. The balcony was the selling point as we lived outside the whole time. Although it is above the owners residence there was complete privacy. The owner was a pleasure to deal with giving lots of helpful tips on what was on, restaurants etc. The city is very vibrant and not what we expected. Would definitely return. The only negative was the noise of people passing by after restaurants closed and the garbage being collected early in the morning. However this is what is to be expected if you are living in the city centre with everything so close. Great holiday for us and sorry to have left.

This was our second visit. We found it an excellent base for exploring Cadiz and feeling part of the city. Accommodation is airy, comfortable, practical. The terrace is an enormous bonus - such a lovely spot for watching the swifts wheeling past in the evening, and of course, perfect for siestas! Its selling point is without a doubt the spacious terrace, which is a fantastic area to chill out with a book, sunbathe or dine in the evenings . Our little boy also loved helping with watering the plants every day! The apartment is fully equipped and we made many delicious meals there with produce from the local market, which I can’t speak highly enough of. Would even go as far to say that we have never eaten as well, it’s a dream destination for foodies, especially if you are a lover of seafood. The bedrooms are beautifully finished, our 4 year old absolutely loved his bedroom which was thoughtfully kitted out with toys and books by Arantxa. The master bedroom opens up onto the terrace which is just lovely in the morning when the sun is shining JWe totally fell in love with Cadiz and would return there in an instant. Getting ‘lost’ in the maze of cobbled lanes is compulsory, the options of places to eat is vast and the beaches are beautiful, clean and easy to get to from the centre.Thank you to Arantxa and her lovely family (and the dog!) for helping us have such an enjoyable stay. "We had a splendid stay in this colourful airy apartment in old Cadiz. The large flowery roof terrace above the narrow cobbled street allowed you to be outdoors and part of the bustle of the city. Street noise died down at night and we slept well. Arantxa and her family made us very welcome and were very helpful when any technical problem arose. We highly recommend this property as a base for exploring Cadiz."

"The apartment is incredibly lovely decorated and - since situated in the very city center: surprisingly- spacious; due to its atrium and the vast terrace it is light; the accounterment (kitchen, bathroom, towels, etc.) is perfect. The family lives on first and second floor; they were very, very friendly, shared helpful recommendations, and we even got a tiny flamenco show by their daughter! However, since the house is situated in a narrow street traffic noise is quite audible; we were only two persons so we could retreat to the back bedroom. Summing it up, it was a brilliant stay in an enormously aesthetic and extremely hospitable atmosphere: absolutely to be recommended."
