Place was great. Parking somewhat of an issue

This is a dog friendly property - which was completely accurate. However, upon arrival we learned the beach is NOT dog friendly. There is a trail at Stump Pass State Park that allows dogs. It's the only place we found for a substantial walk - although we did see some folks sneak their dog on the beach after dark at the public access about a mile north of the property. As for the bungalow - we enjoyed this unit. Short walk to the beach, surprising quiet at night, well-stocked kitchen, overall comfy space.

Host responded promptly. Very clean and laid back atmosphere. Dog friendly areas. Grilled fresh fish. Overall had a great stay!!

Clean apt decorated beachy. Great location. Easy walk to beach.Beds and furniture comfy. Host easy to reach if needed. Stephsite helpful. helpful. Could use a few more coffee mugs and nonstick pots.

The apartment was very nice. Clean comfortable and right across the street from the beach. The only problem we had was finding our access to the beach. Every thing said private property. Once we realized we just had to go through the man gate, on the restricted gate..it was very easy to reach the beach. The private beach was so nice, not overly crowded. Perfect for spot for a sunset. We would definitely rent this property again. Quick communication from the owners.

Good apartment for a night of sleep

Communication was excellent from the start. Owners put alot of thought into details and making our month stay enjoyable in every way. Unit is well stocked. Stephanie and Linda were so pleasant and helpful and keep the units very clean and orderly. Walking across the street to the private beach was so convenient. I highly recommend Starfish Stays. I had trouble using August Locks and it probably was my cell, however Paula and Scot quickly gave me an alternative. Very nice people and excellent stay. Thanks

Excellent location. Private Beach right across the road and it wasn’t too busy. Free shuttle service around the island. Highly recommend the sandbar tiki bar and grille. Owners are really nice and excellent communication with fast responses. Will visit again.

This is our second time staying at Starfish Stays. The first time we rented a 1 bedroom, but this time we decided to bring some family and friends so they can see how special Manasota key is, and got one of the larger units upstairs. This is such a great place to stay! Comfy, clean, with everything you could need to either cook a meal or venture out with lots of great spots nearby. Lock and Key is great for a sunset dinner, so is Texas BBQ on the main highway (don’t forget the Texas sheet cake!), Coffee and Friends for breakfast was great, Joemaxx coffee on Dearborn street is unreal! (We even bought beans to take home), and of course ice cream at A better scoop is always a winner. Red tide was pretty bad this weekend so we weren’t able to swim, but we had fun hanging out at the house playing games, doing puzzles, and enjoying some togetherness. Usually the beach is GORGEOUS, typically isolated, and dog friendly, so we will have to come back with red tide settles down. We also drove to Punta Gorda on Saturday morning for their awesome outdoor fresh market and some antiquing! Shopping on Dearborn street was also a lot of fun! So even though the beaches were a wash, we still had fun because of the house itself and the location to everything. And our pup LOVED sitting on the porch watching all of the birds and lizards scurrying by. The unit is very dog friendly! Thanks to Paula and Scot for your hospitality, quick communication, and fun surprises at the house! We’ll be back!

This was a great weekend away. When we were there, Englewood was a very sleepy town and perfect for traveling during the pandemic. Publix was nearby and we were able to stay to ourselves for the most part. We live in Tampa area and were looking for a non crowded beach for our daughter’s birthday and this property did not disappoint. We stayed for two nights and loved the walk to the beach and the fact we could bring our four legged pup with us. We discovered she is 100% beach dog and can’t wait to take her again. The outdoor showers were great for helping rinse off all the sand before going back inside. Overall great stay.

Sketchy neighborhood did not feel safe. People partying all night , manager not helpful. Not a good place for family.

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Starfish Stays. The owners have created a comfortable and charming place that is close to a beautiful beach! Highly recommended

Condo is very nice and updated. All amenities were very clean. Owner very prompt with communications. Would recommend and would stay again.

This was a great quiet getaway for our family! Daily walks to the private beach access and evenings around the outdoor fire pit can’t be best for relaxing!

My fiancé and I stayed here for one weekend, but it felt like we were there for a whole week! We felt at home the minute we arrived. The location is great whether you are looking for privacy, beach access, or close to restaurants. The kitchen is very spacious and great for cooking meals and enjoying quality time around the table. There is extra parking around the property, so we had a friend who lives in Sarasota come stay a night. Plenty of space with the two bedrooms. I highly recommend staying here, and if I am ever in the area, I will have to stay again!

The unit was immaculate and decorated in a beachy theme. Beds are comfortable and the living area has plenty of seating. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to feel like you’re at home. The host, Scot, was on the property both days during our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and helped us locate restaurants In the area. This is an excellent location close to the private beach. The unit had beach chairs, beach towels, floaties, and sand buckets. You can tell a lot of thought went into making sure the guests enjoyed their stay. Definitely will return.

Clean, cozy & Great location within walking distance to beach. Everything was brand New. Scott the host was extremely fast in responseand super easy to work with. Clayton the house keeping guy (which unfortunately we didn’t meet til leaving last day) was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I’d give this place 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Will absolutely stay here again!!!
