Just the overall perfect cozy cottage to stay in to get away from it all, while enjoying the right on the never crowded beach with up close views of the bay!! It was exceptionally refreshing to walk in and smell the cleanliness of the cottage so A+++ to the cleaners!! We got to enjoy the breath taking sunrises over the bay, watch the dolphins swim by and even spotted a fox on the beach right in front of the cottage.Kayaks provided to take a ride on the bay makes for an even more exceptional experience!! All I can advise is to Book this place as often and for as long as you can as the time fly's by ever so quickly during your stay!!

My family and I had an amazing stay at the Yellow Cottage. The house isn’t packed with the most modern design but my family actually preferred the look and layout to other places. The view is incredible from almost the entire house, including the inside and the great new deck. But the greatest perk was the ability to walk right out on to what almost felt like a private beach. The water was great to swim in, especially with younger kids. And it wasn’t too far to get to some of the local attractions. You just need to traverse a beautiful wildlife refuge to get to the main road! We rarely book the same place twice, but this might make that list soon!

Prime Hook bay front so beautiful and property has many great beach amenities. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Close to Rehoboth, Cape Henlopin and Lewis but great to return to Prime Hook and relax on quiet beach. Deer swimming in bay, a rainbow and rocket launch viewed at night. What more could you ask for

Everything about the house was great! The house was clean and the view of the bay was great. Communication from the hosts on the day of arrival was perfect. The mosquitoes were terrible. Bring plenty of insect repellent.

We have been coming to Prime Hook and Broadkill for 7 years and and this place is by far our favorite. It is reminiscent of quieter times and allows a family to just enjoy the time and not be distracted by all the “extras”. But, the perfect extras here come in the form of access to kayaks, paddle boards, floats, bikes, games, books, etc. It’s the perfect respite for a family who wants to relax and just enjoy. ❤️ And the hosts are super kind, helpful and responsive with any questions!

We loved our stay here. To be able to walk out to the beach was awesome. The house was really well equipped especially with all the beach fun things. We took the kayaks out and had a chance to ride bikes around the neighborhood. Because the beach is in a private area it was so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay again.

This was our second year in a row staying here. You can’t beat the location, right on the beach! Also the beach doesn’t get crowded at all and being on the bay the water is calmer which is great for our 4 and 2 year olds. Definitely thinking of staying there again next summer.

Very happy that we had ample space for our family of four, but also room to entertain other family visitors and even have three extra send the night honey other available beds. Used kayak & ping pong & countless excursions up and down the beach since we were lucky to catch the season of horseshoe crabs coming ashore for mating. Nice books in the home to explain the local wildlife. Plenty of bedding and towels. Would definitely stay there again as a centrally located spot that can accommodate a grande family meal for 10 people. Lots of sofas and deck facing the ocean and most spectacular sunrises. Quiet residential area.

Great house, great location, beautiful view!

This might be my favorite getaway yet. This house is truly a home. It is perfect for small children, has a fully stocked kitchen, on a quiet dead end street, and you cannot beat the views on the deck! We enjoyed the beach with all the horseshoe crabs and birds, riding bikes, jigsaw puzzles and cooking all our food at home. Grateful for a relaxing vacation with dear friends!

This cottage makes the most of its spectacular bay view! Whether you're inside the living/dining area or on the porch you are surrounded by water. I woke up early just to watch the sunrise each morning. The kitchen is also nicely stocked with everything you need to avoid eating out 24/7, which made staying in a quiet, secluded neighborhood even easier. We also enjoyed all the bird watching the nature preserve provided. Thanks so much - I definitely plan to visit again!

Our family had a wonderful stay! We will certainly be back! The house is perfect for time with young kids who enjoy birdwatching, horshoe crabs, and playtime in the sand on a calm beach. The Prime Hook Nature Reserve nearby was wonderful. Kayaks and beach toys were a pleasant surprise in the basement and the house had everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing, and fun stay! The view from the living/dining space is so beautiful.

Charming home in fantastic location. Great views of the Delaware Bay. Can't get any closer to the water. Host Anne was great with communication. Really enjoyed the ping pong table. My husband and I will return.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this cottage. The views from the large, open living/dining/kitchen area are spectacular!!! Although the weather wasn’t always cooperative, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the snow geese and other shore birds from the cozy, warm cottage. The sunrises and sunsets are also amazing. If you want a quiet, relaxing vacation with nature all around you, this is the place to be. The town of Milton is close by and has several wonderful restaurants and parks. Lewes and Rehoboth are only 15-20 minutes away if you want a little more action and adventure. The owners were wonderful and responded very quickly to our questions and even provided information about where we could see the short eared owls nearby. All in all a great place to stay.

My husband and I with our 3 girls, 6, 3, and 1 had another lovely stay over thanksgiving, which we had done last year as well! The house is clean, well equipped and linens all included. The owners are easy to communicate with, and the sunrise/sunset views are hard to beat! Highly recommend!

From booking to finish was an amazing experience

Super cute house literally right on a beautiful and natural beach. We loved the deck, watching the freighters, the birds and seeing the horseshoe crabs. Sunrise with coffee on the deck and cocktails around back overlooking the nature preserve. We even got to experience nature's fury during a tropical storm, talk about exciting. This house has everything you need and then some. Highly recommend.

This is our third year staying in the yellow cottage. We love the peaceful atmosphere of the community and the view from the living room is Stellar!!! This is an excellent place for families especially ones with young kids. Most everything is supplied at the cottage. Just bring your food and clothes. Also, The owners are quick to respond to any questions. Definitely recommend this place! You won’t be disappointed!

Just a most tranquil experience with the soft sounds of the bay waves hitting the shore without the overcrowding of the beach!! Not a far trip from all the shops and eateries that a beach would have to offer!!

My family of four had a wonderful time relaxing at the Yellow Cottage that was stocked with everything that we needed to enjoy the beach including beach towels and chairs. There is nothing like being able to walk out the back door right on to the beach and my usually hard to please teenagers had a blast using the kayak and stand up paddle board. I loved the whimsical seaside and mermaid decorations throughout the house and the kitchen was well supplied for all of our cooking needs. I never got tired of the amazing views of the water from the front room or of sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine listening to the waves roll up on the beach. The house is located in the Primehook National Wildlife Refuge and is home to a variety of birds and other animals that we enjoyed spotting during our stay. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. We were sad to leave and would love to return another time!

Every need was taken care of making packing as simple as a bag for each person! Communication was awesome and the front window room was the perfect spot for family meals, visits and reading.

The pictures don’t do this little place justice. We absolutely loved the property, from the well stocked kitchen to the incredible views. We sat on the new deck for 4 days straight, and the night sky was so clear we saw more stars than anywhere we have ever been. The horseshoe crabs were still mating and we loved seeing them all over the beach. Loved the street too, perfect for bike riding with the bikes provided which were great!! The only drawback was the comfort of the beds. They were newer and totally acceptable, but they are soft, and our backs were hurting after the first couple nights. For firm mattress sleepers like us, this is something to consider and I always like to share.

The house is directly on the beach, and the views are great. The property is almost on a little island with the bay ion one side and wildlife preserve on the other. The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. We were in town for a 3+ day lacrosse tournament, and this made the trip a great experience versus staying in a hotel. We caught fish, grilled, kayaked, and more. The beach is also super private. I never saw more than 8-10 other poeple on the beach at any time.

This was our third year at this property and we absolutely love it! The deck is perfect for sitting to talk and listen to the waves and watch kids in the water. We come with another family and are a group of 8 and we love the layout of the house. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you might need. The outdoor equipment available is awesome! The quiet of this beach is amazing and the kids all love watching (and flipping!) the horseshoe crabs in the evening. We can't wait for year #4! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The Yellow Cottage was the perfect getaway for our family of 3 young boys aged 8 months through 6 years. The proximity of the newly built deck to the beach meant I could be with the baby in the shade on the deck and still keep a close eye on my other two while they played in the sand. Dad loved the included kayaks, as the calm waters are perfect for an easy launch. I plan to go back again next year.
