A fireplace without suitable kindling and smaller start up logs is useless. No ambiance. No warmth. Two nights booked . There should be two nights worth of wood with all the fixings to get a fire going.

Everything you could possibly need in a lovely bush setting. Great communication from hosts. It’s obvious much love and consideration has gone into this property. Only feedback is overall cleanliness. The floors specifically needed a really good vac/ mop. Only really an issue with little ones playing on the floor! Overall however a great property. Thanks for having us :)

The location of this cute little house was perfect. A walk to the main street and local cafe, and the relaxing river behind the property. Perfectly quiet, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Was a lovely property. The heater kept the place toasty despite the winter outside. We loved it and would come again in a heart beat.

Excellent location - easy to get to places like Bright and Mt Buffalo. Nice and private accommodation with pretty scenery nearby. Short walk to shops and cafes. The beds, however, were not very comfortable - they were firm but quite hard. The place was also very dusty in some spots like on top of the fridge or behind the TV cabinet. The cleaners need to be more thorough to make sure there's no dust floating around to create issues for people, especially those with respiratory issues.

Riverfront Retreat is true to its name. The location is excellent, perfect as a base for exploring the region and it is certainly a retreat; peaceful, comfortable, private and quiet. We were impressed with the presentation of the property; it was clean, well organised and generously stocked. The host, Judith, was great to communicate with; welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

Located in Porepunkah, this accomodation is on the river and is fully self contained. A peaceful location close to Mt Buffalo National Park and its many walks.

We had a great stay - my partner fished and the kids and I floated down the river. Right in the heart of porepunkah and a short drive to Bright. Highly recommend.

It was stunning, the river at the back of the property was super relaxing to sit by and have a drink! Highly recommended! Only thing was couldn’t work out the tv channels

It was everything we had hoped for - beautiful spot on the River with all the modern comforts inside. Private river access perfect for fishing or sending the kids down on a tube. Close to the centre of town for Rail Trail / Coffee / Porepunkah Hotel / kids Park. Will definitely be coming back.

backing onto the ovens river was delightful and overall features of the property were great. Things that need improving were, a fan in the bathroom, and a more comfortable mattress in the master bedroom. All other amenaties were amazing.

Cosy and warm. Perfect base for day trips to Mount Buffalo. Easy ride into Bright along the rail trail. Great host communication. We particularly loved the open space out the back to play footy.

We are so happy we have found this gem at the heart of Porepunkah, a place we have not heard of before. So glad I have come across it in Stayz. It is less than 10 minutes from Bright and about an hour from Mt. Hotham. The house has a lot of character. The towels and linens are fresh. The kitchen utensils and appliances look new and are sparkling clean. Everything we needed for our stay was available. Every part of the house has obviously been updated and is instagram-worthy 😉�The location is fantastic. It is right next to the river. It is just beautiful. You would not regret staying here. I just cannot rave about it enough.

Had a great weekend away with the girls in Porepunkah. The place is right on the river and walking distance to town. Well stocked house and very comfortable stay. Will be back.

We had a wonderful couple of days at this property. They had everything we needed. Beautiful wood fire with plenty of wood to keep us warm on those cold nights. The property backs onto the ovens river which was beautiful to sit beside while having a morning coffee. Definitely a place we will be back to.

The property is right on the river and very close to the town. It was an awesome getaway for us. Very nice and clean unit. Very tranquil. We had a great time.
