Our family took a vacation to San Diego and stayed at the property at the beginning of August. The home was cute, close to the beach (a 5 minute walk), had plenty of options for beds. The teenagers loved the loft area! It is fairly centrally located to all the touristy things you want to do like Sea World, Zoo, downtown, beaches. It was a great choice and area for that!
The air conditioning was a little tricky to figure out so could use a little more detailed directions. Internet was a little spotty as well. Garage is TIGHT so we ended up parking on the street often. No biggie, just be aware of the signs on the street for street sweeping each week so you don't end up with a ticket (we learned the hard way).
Overall, I think we would stay here again. The owner was super responsive and helpful for questions. You won't go wrong with the location for sure.

House was a very cool design. Loved the rooftop. It got very warm in the afternoons. I was expecting AC per listing not just the mini splits. The homeless were constantly out the balcony digging through the trash. One sad young woman that is mentally ill was yelling the whole time. Those are circumstances out of your control but not pleasant. The house was very nice though!

Great location in close proximity to the beach and great restaurants. The house was clean and tidy. Pedro was very accommodating, especially with our two infants. We will definitely stay here again next time we travel to San Diego!

Great location with a great rooftop barbecue area. We could see the sunsetting at the dog beach From the rooftop , which was only two blocks from our place.We had the best time at the dog beach too! We are hoping to come back soon.

The property is in a great location but could use a deep cleaning and some TLC. The furniture, beds, and linens are a little tired and need updating. The washing machine was not operable, nor was the outdoor shower filled with leaves. We spent most of our time touring the area rather than at the house, so it was easy for our group to overlook these items of concern.

We loved our stay! We were able to easily walk to the beach, coffee and food. While the house is narrow, it was comfortable and unique. We enjoyed lunch on the roof with a beautiful view and slept great. We definitely recommend!!

Loved being able to walk to all the bars and shops we miss visiting when we lived in San Diego. The pictures are definitely when it was new as the rugs were dirty and stained. The kitchen counter was cluttered with other visitor's left-over food items. It wasn't as sparkly clean as the ad shows and it wasn't ideal for 2 couples. There is only 1 actual bedroom. However, we spent most of our time outside of the unit, so it wasn't a big deal. We would stay again, we would just have more realistic expectations of the unit. Thank you!

Very convenient location. 6 minutes walking distance to the very nice beach. 9 minutes walking distance to the main street with a lot of bars and activities. 5 minutes driving to the water world.

Overall a great place. It was a smooth check in and check out process. Really close to the beach and good restaurants. It was somewhat difficult to stay with our kids due to the layout of the house but enjoyed the location. If you don’t have young children, great place to stay with friends or family.

The layout is slightly different from the pictures but overall this place is excellent. A few blocks from Ocean Beach. Conveniently located near shops and food. The roof top was definitely my favorite in the morning for sunrise and at night for the fireworks from Sea World!

We stayed with our teenage daughter and her friend and they had their own space on the first floor which they loved. Easy walking to beach, restaurants/bars, and shopping. Also convenient to zoo and downtown San Diego. Rooftop view is amazing. Host was responsive to any questions we had. Would book again!

The property is close to the beach, has lots of easy parking, within easy walking distance of lots of the beach and restaurants, and was tidy. There really is only one bedroom, however. The other sleeping spaces are a loft that is fun for kids, but not particularly easy to get to, and a sleeper sofa on the first floor. There was not a place to eat together, even though there is a kitchen.

We had a great time with family friends who visited from east coast. The lounging area was a bit small for all of us sitting together but the roof top deck was a perfect place to hang out while enjoying beautiful sunsets. The rooftop deck had plenty of seating options, a large table and a grill conveniently hooked to the gas line. Thanks for hosting us!

I decided to use this site vs the Air one and found this really nice looking property. I have never used any of these apps, because I’ve only stayed in hotels. I’ll tell you what, this home looks exactly as it does on the pictures!
What a pleasant surprise! The home was very clean and orderly. It was well supplied with towels, bathroom and kitchen supplies! It was so accommodating and comfortable. I hate to travel because I always have a hard time sleeping on foreign beds. But the bed they had in the master bedroom was very comfortable and I sleep very well! The pillows were nice too! Thank you for this!
There are many restaurants and shops literally a block or two away! The beach is only a 4-5 minute walk away!
It was nice to have a garage to park my car in because I didn’t have to search for street parking. True to the advisement given by the owner, it is very tight to get into, but I am a driving master, so no sweat getting my mid sized SUV in there! It will fit a mid sized sedan even better!
The home also has a washer and dryer! My wife loved the rooftop terrace and she took many pictures up there!
The neighborhood was relatively safe. I was able to go on a walk with my young family and no problem. There were some homeless folks hanging out here and there, but they were the kind that keep to themselves. They were the aggressive panhandling types and there wasn’t urine and feces all over the place like in Los Angeles.
We will return to this location!

This place is perfect for an Ocean Beach vacation. We had 6 people and plenty of room to spread out if needed or hang together as an entire group. It has 3 separate places to sleep with a bathroom for each so everyone gets their own privacy. The rooftop deck is amazing with 360 views of the city, ocean and beaches. The house really has everything you need for cooking and doing laundry, plus plenty of chairs for inside and outside. We definitely plan on staying there again!

Stayed here for a work trip last minute and lucked out with this spot! We booked it the night before at midnight so their cleaning team didn’t have much of a chance to get in there until morning of so I understand things couldn’t be perfectly clean. It was a nice and quiet part of ocean beach with a two minute walk to the dog beach! Such an awesome spot, definitely will be back!

We enjoyed our stay in this property at Ocean Beach. The high ceilings, big windows and rooftop deck were impressive. We loved watching the sunset from the deck. The location was walking distance to the beach, park, cafes, grocery stores and restaurants. Our host Pedro communicated well and the check in process was easy. We will stay here again in the near future and recommend this hidden gem to family and friends.

Not worth the stay!
The host of this property was communicating with me very poorly. I had asked the host if I can do an early check in and did not reply back to me hours later. I have also communicated with the host that when we check into the house, everything was properly not cleaned! The bed sheets, the towels and the couch, had crumbs on it and stains. The dishes in the dishwasher were not at all cleaned when we came in. It seemed as if their cleaners did not come to clean the house at all or they did not clean it throughly! The host did not at all put their customer as their top property. I do not recommend staying here nor will I return.

Place was in a great location walking distance from the beach/restaurants and the rooftop is cool. Giving 3 stars because the inside of the house is small and all the rooms are split up making it difficult to congregate more than 3-4 people in a given area indoors.
The house has one very compact parking spot in the garage but street parking wasn’t too difficult. If you’re a light sleeper the planes taking off will wake you up in the morning.
Some things I didn’t realize when I initially booked:
You will be staying at one of three identical looking houses in a row that are owned by the same rental company. The greeting message acts like this is someone’s personal house that they built.
The owner has a camera in front of the garage and a ring camera at the front door as well. There was a ring device in the kitchen that we unplugged in case it was monitoring audio - wasn’t sure what that was.
They also charge a security deposit on your credit card prior. The rental agreement they make you sign claims that if more than the number of guests specified are at the house they can take the security deposit. The security deposit wasn’t charged through VRBO.
The rental agreement they make you sign is a bit aggressive in my opinion. They want you to sign it via email outside of VRBO and threaten to not give you the door code if you don’t
Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10 pm. I asked to check in earlier but no response until I got a notification the house was ready about 20 mins prior to my check in time

We enjoyed our stay mostly we tried to get out of the house or go on the rooftop which was nice. It gets very hot in the master bedroom and was hard to sleep without the door open. The alleyway next to the master bedroom had a lot of transients and people walking by and screaming in the middle of the night when we were there. I don’t know if that’s normal but we weren’t exactly happy with it.

Weekend in Ocean Beach
This is my second time staying on this property. The check in process was very easy. Everyone was able to find parking on the street close by. Pedro was readily available for any questions. The view on the roof is amazing. There is air traffic in the neighborhood and it can get bright indoors so bring a face mask and ear plugs for bed time. Overall great experience!
