This was our first visit to St John, our first visit to any location out of the continental 48 for that matter, so the excellent communication about our arrival to the island, meeting JP at the car ferry dock to follow him to the house and show us what we needed to know was above and beyond what we expected. This high level of customer service set the tone for the week and we were more than impressed before we even began our stay. We absolutely loved the property, the view, the quiet location on the island and how easy it was to get to the beaches, ruins and restaurants. The kids (ages 16 & 12) loved their rooms, views, the pool, hot tub, snorkeling at the beaches and playing "St Johnopoly" (from the game cabinet) as well. We all had such a great vacation on a paradise island. We had such an incredible time that we have already talked about making plans to return. Thank you for such a great experience!

Wonderful Villa & location with incredible views! Pool, hot tub & patio area amazing! Washer & dryer, beach chairs & cooler a definite bonus. We left our pool floats, some sunscreen & 2 snorkel sets to pass along for others. Excellent response & communication with property manager & JP. Only complaint is the floors could use a good scrubbing & per our friends feedback, the room with twin beds were sagging & uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was a 5 ⭐️!

Loved the views so amazing! The house had everything we needed (cooler and beach chairs/towels were great to have!) and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Property manager was very responsive. We loved it! The road is bumpy and steep to get to it so make sure you have a good 4x4 and you will be fine. Frog symphony and hot tub at night were such added bonuses- and the stargazing!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home with spectacular views. The house exceeded our expectations, with tastefully decorated rooms that were spacious and filled with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The covered deck and pool areas provided sweeping views of the Bay and was a nice gathering point for our small group. The location of the house was a bit remote, but we still had easy access to local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation stay. The views alone are worth the price, and the house itself is top-notch. I would definitely stay there again and look forward to the opportunity to do so.

No complaints whatsoever. This place was stunning and even better than the listing shows. The only problem we encountered was not the fault of the property but a power outage in the area that happened the night before check-out. This place was absolutely fantastic though!

The only thing better than this house are the views that are available from everywhere. Sunsets, sunrises, moon rises and the "frog symphony" every evening are the best ever. Property is just as described, the amenities are great, pol is very refreshing and the hot tub is a must have for the rainy days we encountered with Tropical Storm Earl. Location is great as it is in between Cruz Bay and Coral Bay. The North shore beaches are also easily accessed. Loved our time there.

We could not have been more impressed with the rental and the service provided. We were met at the dock to travel to the house. We were provided recommendations and questions were answered quickly. We were given a welcome treat basket which was so thoughtful! The house was perfect! Truly peaceful and accommodating for all needs and ages. We loved the covered porch and sat for hours. Well stocked closest for beach needs and easy access to the beaches. We have already shared the location with many families!

We had an amazing stay at Bay Rum Breeze! It was conveniently situated within easy distance of so many of our favorite spots - Hansen, Lameshur, Maho and Coral Bay. The views from the villa are spectacular (photos don’t do them justice). The outside space was especially nice - the covered patio, the pool & pool deck, the hot tub deck and of course the roof deck! It was very nice to have A/C in all the bedrooms though it was rarely needed - the breeze was really blowing during our stay! JP was incredibly helpful and responsive, especially considering our travels to the island were delayed and he had to wait for us well into the evening of our arrival. We really appreciated him letting us put groceries in his vehicle after meeting us at the grocery store for our post-ferry provisioning on the way to the villa. Would definitely stay here again!

This house is amazing. Located on the top of the island, you can see down to Coral Bay from the pool/patio area and then if you walk to the front you see off to the north and the British VI. The pool is so pretty and the hot tub was very nice. Outdoor grill was great. Kitchen had everything and the washer/dryer helped a lot with all the swimming and beachgoing we did. They had backpack beach chairs and some coolers to use and even a set or two of snorkeling equipment. Beds were nice, air conditioning worked great.

Such an amazing villa. Both from the pool area...but also the view from the driveway facing North is amazing. We ate in every night so we could take advantage of the views. The villa is well appointed. Everything you need in the kitchen and bedrooms. Beds were super comfortable. The villa is stocked with beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler, beach towels. Very convenient. 4 wheel drive is a MUST. The road leading up to the villa is in very bad repair and steep in some spots. The outdoor living space is such a bonus. We were surprised on how cool it could get up there at night, we stayed in February. Make sure to pack a long sleeve shirt. The pool was gorgeous, but alas, with it being so cool no one wanted get in. A disappointment was the hot tub was broken and they had to replace the whole thing. This was a bummer, but it didn't stop us from having an amazing trip. Over all the place was amazing. I would dare to say...the best place on the island. We cant wait to come back! So sad to have to leave!

We stayed at Bay Rum Breeze with our family over Christmas and it did not disappoint! The sunrises were gorgeous and the house was perfectly suited for our group of 7 to hang out, enjoy the pool/hot-tub and use as a home base for the week. The house is centrally located with easy driving to all the best beaches! Moving seven people on the island isn't always easy, and we prepared many meals in the spacious kitchen and were comfortable at the large table. Beth, the property manager we worked with was extremely responsive when we had a few questions! I HIGHLY recommend staying here - you won't regret it.

Enjoyed being on the East side of St. John. The views were beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. Bed were comfortable as well. Would stay here again for sure!

We will plan to come back over and over.

My husband and I booked the Bay Rum Breeze for our 25th anniversary trip. This was our 5th trip to St John and once again it was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay at Bay Rum Breeze. They had everything we needed. JP was easy to work with.

There was eight of us who shared this beautiful property.We made such long lasting memories for the week on the Island of St .John.You couldn't ask for a better property to rent.Close to the best beaches on the island.The view from Rum Bay Breeze is spectacular!The house is perfect in every way.We will miss Rum Bay Breeze and the island of St John. Our property manager was fantastic. He helped us throughout our entire trip.He was always available if we needed him.You will not regret renting this home.It was totally outstanding!

We had an amazing stay at Bay Rum Breeze. The view of Coral Bay and nearby islands is incredible and house was spacious and comfortable for our group of 8. We enjoyed the amazing views, outdoor showers, large kitchen/family area, and terraces. We unwinded in the hot tub nearly every evening. The hosts were extremely helpful - guided us to the place on day 1 and stopped by a few times when we had minor issues (circuit breaker problem with the outlet for hottub, broken chair) to ensure everything was up and running. The location is really convenient - 25 min from Cruz Bay, 8 min from Maho Bay and Coral Bay, and somewhere in between for most other parts of the island. There are also two nice hiking trails nearby which we ran to from the house (wouldn’t recommend given the roads nearby are winding and steep) - one is a mile hike to Maho and the other brings you 2.5 miles to the south shore beaches. Would definitely want to stay again!

Loved loved loved this house! We enjoyed the amazing views, particularly at sunrise! The pool and hot tub were great, especially for our children. We felt like the house was in a great location as well. Short drive to great beaches! Had a fabulous time relaxing and exploring the island. We will definitely plan a return trip!

We couldn’t have had a more wonderful first-time vacation on St John. The total experience was amazing and can’t wait to return! As we wrote in the guest book: Perfect view/setting + perfect house = perfect vacation!!

Stayed in late June 2020 for one week. I have stayed at several properties across both STJ and the BVI's, and Bay Rum Breeze villa is my new favorite. Immediately on walking in, we new that this villa was ideally designed for island living. The covered deck served as our main base for our stay, with very high end and comfortable seating and dining furniture. One thing I haven't seen mentioned much in other reviews is the roof top deck. Wow, the views up there are phenomenal!! Many thanks to the property manager for his punctual responses on a couple of needs that we had, and his professionalism was outstanding. We love this villa, and in fact have already booked a return!

Yet again, a great and relaxing stay at Bay Rum Breeze, our Happy Place! Ellen is a friendly and helpful owner and BRB is a 5-star property - location, the view(!), layout, amenities, pool, hot tub, TV, stereo, DVDs, everything you want. Our third year in a row of a fantastic week, and we are already looking forward to next year!

We stayed for a week at Bay Rum Breeze and could not have asked for a better experience! The home is gorgeous, sitting atop the hills surrounding Coral Bay, which gave us beautiful views during the day and serene nighttime star gazing each night. There was a full moon one of the nights we were there, and the backlighting of the islands in the bay will be something we'll remember forever. The amenities were wonderful, the kitchen well-stocked with everything we needed, including an outdoor grill that we cooked out on several times. The beds were very comfortable and each has the beautiful view of Coral Bay... The hot-tub was enjoyed by everyone in the family and the availability of beach chairs, coolers, noodles ... greatly appreciated each day for our excursions to the beaches! The house is 10 minutes to Maho Bay, where we snorkeled with sea turtles and stingrays, 15-20 minutes to each of the other beaches on the North End. Trunk, Cinnamon, Haulover, Hawksnest... a different beach each day and we loved them all! We felt no need to plan any excursions of any sort because we had everything we needed already! Slow, family time in Paradise! The house is also 10 minutes from Coral Bay where we enjoyed a couple of lovely dinners. The owner, Ellen, could not have been more helpful!! She was a true pleasure to work with, helping us in so many ways to know the island better and get the most out of our stay. She obviously cares deeply for St. John and their home reflects the love they have for the island. It's a real treasure. We highly recommend this villa and would love to stay here again in the future!

We spent a week at BRB with our family of three girls (19, 18 and 15) before two of them head off to college. It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've ever had together. THE VILLA: The house was amazing. The views were spectacular and are even better than the pictures. Because we were up so high, it stayed relatively cool in the August heat - the direction the house faces also helps with afternoon shade and the morning sun was beautiful. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we used the grill outside by the pool a couple of times which was very convenient. The beds were comfortable and we loved the outdoor showers! The road up to the house was not for the faint of heart but manageable and entertaining. One day an afternoon storm blew through - thunder and lightening for several hours which is so unusual the locals were talking about it all week. It truly was an amazing afternoon playing cards, games and reading books. Very cool watching the storm come in over the BVIs and up the mountain. Well... until the power went out...but even then we drove down to Skinny Legs for dinner and to pick up some water and power was restored by the time we were back. Weather the rest of the week was perfect. Plenty of fun movies to watch and the sound system was excellent. The roof deck and hot tub were both fantastic as well. Bottom line, we felt at home! THE LOCATION: We've stayed on St. John before closer to Cruz Bay so we hadn't experienced Coral Bay before. Even though some of the restaurants were closed, we loved exploring this side of the island. I forced them all to go to Miss Lucy's and it was one of their favorite meals. The Grouper Reuben was the easy winner. Indigo Grill was also delicious! We were so much closer to the beaches - Maho Bay is only 5 minutes away. We saw donkey, goats and cows every day. And the couple of nights that we went into Cruz Bay, the drive home was fine. Grocery stores seemed to be less expensive as well - the one by Aqua Bistro was more than adequate. We all agreed at the end of the vacation that we would definitely rent BRB again if we're heading to St. John - trust me that you will not be disappointed. Destination St. John and Ellen were both great to work with and it was apparent that they wanted to make sure you had a great week!

3rd time staying at BRB. Views are tremendous. Close to Maho and Francis Beaches (our favorites). And Coral Bay is a mere 8 minute drive down the hill, away from the maddening crowd of Cruz Bay. The house works well for a romantic stay for a couple, or can comfortably host three couples (each with private bathrooms). When small issues arose (as they inevitably might), the management company was responsive and uber-polite. All in all, a tremendous experience, and a good value.

Bay Rum Breeze is absolutely a perfect place to relax and enjoy St. John. Incredible views from everywhere, great layout with privacy inside and out, all necessities provided, close to Coral Bay, 5 minutes to Maho, pool and hot tub and grill - your own private getaway villa! Ellen is wonderful and very easy to work with. Highest recommendation!

Bay Rum Breeze was an exceptional choice to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The view is more spectacular than the pictures. The location of the house is near the highest point of the island and is convenient to Coral Bay and the north shore beaches. It is only 6 miles from Cruz Bay, but took about 20 minutes due to the winding roads. BRB provided the perfect balance of a feeling of total seclusion, with the security of having other houses nearby. We never dreamed that we would use a hot tub in June, but the elevation and constant wind provided for cool nights after sunny beach days. The coolness of the elevation and wind did limit our use of the pool at the house on overcast days, but the view more than made up for this drawback. It was only the two of us on this trip, but the house seems perfect for up to 3 couples as all three bedrooms have exceptional views. One bedroom is detached and would not be great for small children, but two bedrooms are in the main house. The rooftop deck is exceptional both day and night. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was amazing and we could not imagine a better view. All in all, BRB was perfect and hopefully we will be able to go back soon.

We had a great stay at Bay Rum Breeze. The villa is beautiful, views are spectacular, and the layout was perfect for us. Two bedrooms in the main house (one room upstairs for us and one room downstairs for our two kids - the two bedrooms separated by interior stairs) and then a third bedroom in a separate structure (for another couple). The house was well stocked with kitchen items, towels, beach towels, etc. Ellen was a pleasure to work with and the location of the villa is very centrally located on the island - close to north shore beaches and not too far from coral bay. We definitely plan to come back!
